Is this Practical?

I was just fiddling around Mids and was thinking of making a Pistols/Time Corruptor. I realized it's bee forever since I made a new defender and decided to go with it instead. I finished my build-plan for lategame and seems amazing to me with 235% recharge, perma-Hasten and perma-Chronoshift, defenses for Smashing, Lethal and Enegry Soft-Capped, and, with the -to-hit, capping others when in melee.

What are your opinions?

Personally I would prefer a Resistance shield on a Time Defender rather than Scorpion Shield. If you take Power Boost (Soul Mastery) or the Clarion Destiny with Power Boost effects then you can use that to pretty easily softcap yourself to all three positions (or all six types but I find positions easier on a Defender).

It's an interesting topic, but I will be brief.

Temporal selection could use more slots. Slowed response is a top notch debuff, aoe debuff; I would find it some slots.

Time juncture seems quirky I guess to some because of the lower tohit debuff from other defender sets. I find it to be extremely valuable. Four slots of dark watcher's despair would do amazing things. What you can't slot is the -damage aspect. It's a big deal. The slow with all the other time goodies is gravy. I cannot imagine waiting to level 49 unless you wanted to respec for an itrial build.

Chronoshift, in my humble opinion is about the recovery buff, not so much the regeneration/heal buff. I would slot an efficacy adaptor set in it.

I would focus on a minimal 1 or 2 secondary powers to pass effectiveness to the primary.

I'll refer to this one first, then go backwards.

First thing I wanted to ask is: Why give Temporal Selction more slots? The reason I ask is because the only thing buffable is the +regen, and I figure that be minor due to having Temporal Mending up every 4 seconds with this build. And with just one 50 +Rech I can have it on 3 people without trying.

Next Slowed Response is only able to buff Defense Debuff, and I have it up enough to perma it (26.4 rec to 30 duration) due to all the other + Recharge I have.

I can see your point with Time's Juncture, and this is mainly a level 50 build so I would repec to this after going through. If I can switch things around may add in an extra slot, at least, to give the Recharge debuff proc.

Now, as for the previous post about getting something other than Scorpion Shield, main reason for the Mace Mastery was the shield, to give higher defenses, but also add in the 7.5 LotG, as well as get the hold for the 7.5% Rech with Basilisk's and then the 6.25% rech to the pets, making them perma, so I have those Disruptors up all the time AND being able to buff them with Temporal Selection permanently.

I will make further investigations to see if I can change things around and get a better adaptation. Admittedly this build was a test to see how high I could get my Recharge and Defense together, but let's see how much more effective I can make things! Especially with Chronoshift, as, since I have Temporal Mending on such a short recharge, changing it to recovery may be much better.

With Love,
Me! <3

Edit:

Here's a revised build. It will NOT have perma Chrono, but allow me to Power Boost Farsight to soft cap most, if not all, my defenses. It also allows me to have some compounding Defenses with the resistances of Temp Invuln and the 'Oh Crap' button of FoN which is up half the time, if needed.

You're going to want Stamina slotted. I'd pull one of the recharges out of Power Build Up, and you can safely drop one from Hasten, then put both of those in Stamina as level 50 End Mods.

Chrono Shift's +Recovery bonus only lasts for 30 seconds (1/3rd of the time), so looking at your total recovery without keeping that in mind is going to lead you to have totally skewed expectations.

I have Stamina slotted 2end mod plus the Perf +End, and the 45% tier3 Cardiac on top of that on my Time/Fire, and still burn through end like nobody's business.

I'll admit that I don't have Chrono Shift slotted for End mod (5 slotted with Doctored Wounds), because I couldn't spare a 6th slot for the full set to get Efficiency Adapter's recharge bonus. Again, though, that recovery bonus only lasts a third of the time anyhow. (Note that Chrono Shift's +Endurance is not enhanceable, only its +Recovery is.)

I haven't actually opened your build so you may already know this but a quick warning on Power Build Up in Mids. If you toggle it on it then the defense values you see in the summary will include Power Boosted effects from Maneuvers and Combat Jumping as well as Farsight. In game the boost to the toggles will only last the duration of Power Boost while the buff to Farsight will last the duration of Farsight. So it's a good idea to manually check your actual defenses and make sure you are actually at the soft cap.

Might want to go with Soul mastery if your set on using a Power Boost type effect.

Soul Drain + Hail of Bullets is very, very juicy. With all your recharge it should have an uptime of about 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off. which lines up nearly perfectly with Hail of Bullets.

I personally go with Dark Mastery on my Time Fenders for Perma Soul Drain (its got a lower recharge than Soul Mastery), but you have to sacrifice Power Boost for that. So weigh what's more important you.

Perma Soul Drain + Assault + Defender solo Bonus = huge damage bonus, all the time, its like playing a Kin with the mitigation of Time.. It's rather glorious.

Hmmmmm. /ponder

I might have to give Dark Mastery a try... I'd miss being perma-softcapped... but with the -ToHit from Time's Juncture I'd still be equivalent to softcapped vs anything within debuff range... and damage output really is his main weakness he currently has ~52% +Damage when solo, perma soul drain would push him up to ~170%... that sounds very nice. (Plus, Dark Consumption would help manage his endurance better).

Yup, was a tough choice for me as well, but once I tried it out I never looked back.
