I don't think I've ever told you to stop whining- you're entitled to say what you like. It's a public forum.

In this case what you want isn't possible. But you have every right to voice your opinion, however confused and unrealistic it may be.

Where have I said that?
I haven't.
Your entire rhetorical style is based on mis-reading posts and revving yourself up into a high dudgeon based on imaginary statements that exist nowhere but your own mind.

Its GOING to deliver? Do you have a Magic Eight Ball over there? Psychic Hotline on speed-dial? You know nothing about what GR will actually deliver. Just like the rest of us. We can hope. We do not KNOW.
I certainly have much more ammunition for my position that GR will be great than you have for pretending it's going to suck.
And when it comes to forum predictions, you're the anti-Nostradamus. Someone could look brilliant just by reading your posts and saying the opposite- they'd be right about 98% of the time.

Like I said, you're welcome to your half-full glass, just don't ask me to drink out of it.

Prior to Issue 16 going live if you'd asked me what I thought would be the greatest part I would most certainly have stated the Power Customization.

Now that I've played it for a bit... I have to change that opinion.

The best part of I16 for me is unequivocably the new Difficulty Settings. The ability to customize mission difficulty for each character has revitalized the game play for me. I don't care so much about the loot as I do the challenge factor.

Definitely 10 out of 10 stars.

That is so weird. I thought I didn't care about Power Customization but I am having a blast with it. Well except my poor warshade...

I'm loving both features.

Power customization has a greater lure than I expected- after I retrofitted the Goat, I obsessively logged in everyone I could think of that had customizable powers and went to town.

The mission settings are fantastic, but not just for my high-powered killing machines. I have several characters who're greatly enjoying the ability to populate missions with LOTS of relatively unthreatening enemies, who collectively give them quite a fight.

My ar/dev for example. Set him to spawn for 3 at +0 level and had a BLAST with a carnie mission this morning. He was definitely living on the edge, but he mostly handled the big spawns of whites with some yellow lieutenants sprinkled in. Died once, went red a couple of other times.

A problem soloing him before was that Heroic & Tenacious posed zero challenge for him. Caltrops, beanbag the dangerous enemy, AoE everyone then finish up the stragglers. But if I turned it up higher he usually got mauled.

The new system allows for much greater control over your level of challenge than the old one- it's much less binary.

Let's 'accurately describe' your behavior: So much ad-homineming and sour grapes from someone completely unable to accept that other people have differing opinions. I have not seen one single bit of good reasoning here, just you telling everyone that those who didnt have much to say about the last few issues had 'deep pathologies,' because only your view is 'reality.'

Maybe to you! Ha. Maybe you can drag your forum girlfriend She Of The Puppydog Avatar in here to bolster your sagging ratings and lend creedence to your arguments. Last I remember her response to everything is "I hate you and I don't care about [her opponent's] opinion, so nyah!": the two of you are a perfect match as far as the strength of your lines of reasoning. Pardon the pun!

This is not an insult, it is an accurate description of your behavior.

I guess I am in the meh camp.

Power customization though very cool just does not go far enough for me.

I am firmly in the can't wait for Going Rogue camp.

Anyway, to those still complaining about I16 at least you've still got 'Going Rogue' to look forward to. If that's not a reason to be happy then there's a slim chance that you're never going to be either

TL;DR: Issue 16 is meh and way too little. Wish we'd get more REAL content Soon (tm).
Issue 10 New content was 4 coop story arcs, 1 TF and the RWZ raid

I11 (4 arc/TFs for each side the Oro-contacts, 3 very similar red/blue and 1 unique to each side)
I12 Had 3 new story arcs (2 Red 1 Blue) and a similar but different mini-arc (Origin of Power) for each side, plus the ITF
Issue 13 had 5 Heroic arcs (3 Mercedes Sheldon 2 Daedalus) and 3 Villanous ones (1 Mercedes Sheldon and 2 Sister Arlia)

Issue 13 was certainly comparable to Issue 10 in Story based content addition.

I14 15 and 16 were certainly a low point in new Dev created Story arcs and TFs, but that drought doesn't go as far back as I10 without really stretching the content definition.

"sour grapes" is relatively hilarious coming from the queen of negativity.

The idea of PP lending creedence to ANYTHING is hilarious. She's just as nuts as you are, only with the saving grace of self awareness.

I'm having great fun with I16. My new traps/AR defender is a blast (ha!), and I'm using him to play up through the "classic" content: no Hollows, no Striga, just old-school stuff. He's already level 12 and I haven't even gotten the Fortune Teller mission yet! (I might have to turn off XP for a while...)

Power Colorization is fun. I've done it on a few characters, but I've left 90% of them with the default (original) power colors. The fun part is seeing what other people have come up with. As with costumes, some can be horrendous, and some can be incredibly creative.

Supersidekicking has changed the game for me. It's amazing, and if any feature could be desired by other MMOs, it'd be this one.

Still waiting to see what GR has in store. They've been holding back on press releases quite a bit.

Hopefully "think and thin" is not a cashgrab before dumping something awful on us. I really hope not

yeah.

I hate it. The super side kicking sucks and I'm not talking about PLing I mean in general. I played on a team of various levels and though I was sk'd 2 levels higher and the person whose mish it was was set at a higher level I got less xp than when soloing. Of course just finding a team now that i16 has come to fruition is impossible especially when you're a higher level. The servers have been practically dead too, what with all of the people leaving, so far 8 of my regular COH friends have already left. Not a big fan of i16. This will be my last month of gameplay, COH really screwed the pooch on this one.

Oh and I realize the whiny fanbois will post in droves in response to anyone who doesn't like or has anything bad to say about i16--don't bother I'm not even interested enough in COX anymore to read a response to my post.

Good luck to all of you--I hope the minute thrill of having a pink Jack Frost and blue Fulcrum Shift was worth the downside of massive amounts of people leaving the game!

We've been a bit light on story content for a while... I think we need new arcs across all levels for both sides.

Not that what we've gotten hasn't been brilliant, it has... but shiney things can only keep people interested for so long, we need actual story content!

Is there some sort of standard generic form you people fill in when quitting the game.
Every issue it's the same, X feature ruined my life, massive amounts of players quit (I have no proof, but I KNOW these things), I'm quitting yadda yadda yadda.

I'll never quite understand the compulsion to not only quit a game but pretend that loads of other people are also quitting with you. It's kind of sad really.
Maybe it's to actually make us give a damn.

This is super bizzare.

I m about the most hatred dude in here, but i still can reach the boards.

Well, cool passing by just to say that i gave away for about 250 billion of ingame goods.

I hope i broke a lot of illusions here. 'especially the 'specialists' good advices, aka, nether and them friends.

For one good reason. Before you even talk market, grab together 250 bills in goodsn then donate it. since then, ur another noob, and ur friends too.

To the devs: dont allow me to come here no more, i tried to be the rudest, but i still got access. i deleted all of my 49 50's, all my Visas, and im now seein a psychiatrist about my CoX addiction.

So please, delete me from ur database.

Or is it the next torture you are able to do to someone?

Besides, Co sucks too.

As for threads, I've posted many. I'll see if I can find the links when I get back from school. I've posted regarding the fires, the Invasions, villains, and more, and I've always been careful to try and stay within the limits of the game's capabilities.

As I say, more later.
Here's a couple of threads I posted in the past...

http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=143439
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=184900

A loooong time ago, I posted an idea for giving Villains Agendas. It would allow a higher level villain (L30+) to select an Agenda (eg, conquer the world) and a mechanism (with an army of Giant Robots, or orbital mind control lasers, or what have you). He would then collect objectives (eg. materials, a base, and so on), against increasing resistance until he reaches a final mission in which he will face "impossible" odds. His goal in this kobayashi maru mission is to survive for whatever time (say, 10 minutes of being besieged by the entire assembled Freedom Phalanx). Survival gives him a temp power related to the mechanism he chose (say, a temp power that summons a giant robot). Actually DEFEATING the impossible mission would have several effects. FIrst, he would get the temp power as mentioned. He would also get a second temp power, a toggle that would make him the equivalent of an AV for a short time. Third, it would create a world event, related to his goal and mechanism. In the example, giant robots would spawn in all zones in a manner similar to Rikti Invasions.

That thread seems to have disappeared, but this description should give you the gist.

Seeing the 5th Column on the streets is cool. I'm really curious now what the story is behind it. Did a few cells survive and now they're looking for payback from the Council or what?

I hardly follow the game lore or clues.
But I have a feeling it has something to do with Reichsman being released in previous issue.
In ouroborous there's also a SF where you have to recruit 5th column lieautenants for Council. In the final mission Requiem says something about staying within Council ranks and waiting for a signal during his speech which he delivers to 5th column troops.
