There is room for a new look, I do get tired of lookin at the Rock DE, I want opinions and uniqueness! Out with the old in with the new!

Just got granite on my first real Tanker, a Stone/Fire.

So here is an idea.

Next time there is a Dev judged CC like the 'We're Throwing a Party' event just recently, all the Stone Tanks and /Stone Brutes on each server should show up in granite form and demand a special winning granite be chosen (not for a prize of course) and get a explanation of why that particular winning Granite is the most unique and original. And, in addition, it would help those of us a little under-whelmed by the form come up with some good ideas pending a change, if ever.

If we all constantly move around the thundering foot steps might make an interesting and obvious statement without spamming the chat.

Cacophony power.

Would it not be possible to have both options?

Like have a drop down for the "default" granite armor full model swap and another for the "overlay still see your toon" version?

That seems to be the best option imo

Granite is the uglies looking skill in the game. I'm not even joking. Just having taht skin makes me not want to touch the set

I have a Stone/Fire tanker.

I have two builds on this tanker, one a normal build with all armors, and the other that drops every non-granite armor and picks up a couple pool powers to softcap everything but Psi while still providing almost 20% defense to Psi. A drop in the ocean when it comes to late-game without enemy accuracy or to-hit debuffs.

I knew what Granite would do to this character before picking the set.

I would LOVE to see a return to the pre-DE granite, the grey husk that shows in Power Customization. I haven't had the game long enough to see that version of the power, but I would rather have the ancient version and have it be customizable than have the current version with nothing but my name to distinguish me from another Stone tank when the time comes to pop the tier-9 power.

I am all for changing Granite Armor as well. I have always thought it looks a little silly. If you are on a team with a tanker that has Granite Armor, you feel protected with a huge bulking piece of rock taunting everything, but it still looks kind of dumb. I would love having overlays and keep the look of your character intact.

I'm not too fond of the current version of granite to be honest. What I'd like to see in a changed version is:

Something that doesn't change your size
A stone that actually looks like granite (what we have now looks like slate)
An option that doesn't change or add anything to your costume, but simply turns your character's skin to stone (I'd actually like this for all the stone armor powers)

Well, if they are going to work on Granite Armour, please do something with the Ice Armour/Ice Shields as well. Those shields or toggles often over the custome and they are equally as unstylish as well.

I think the animation for the whole set needs a "reboot', I don't like the fact that you look like a DE monster. Although I do like the idea of being some kind of big menacing looking rock creature.

The other stone armors in the set look just horrid I mean c'mon rock armor looks like you got splattered with poop.Frankly I'd like to see rock armor get changed more than granite.
