This is an ok phone, it's as cool as it's gonna get from Sprint without having the data package from Sprint, which we (Ele and I are still on our parents' phone plan because they're still willing to pay for it :P ) are stuck on for a while. I may get a blackberry or something palm pilot-like once I stop being cheap and pay for it myself.
Also Ele's phone is a piece of **** and he was given the option to upgrade to a phone like mine but still refused.

I have a G1, and it's ok. The novelty of the touch screen wears off after a while though...

I have a LG Voyager as my personal cell

Its nice, my main screen is a little beat up but that my own fault.
For a work cell they gave me a Palm Centro
http://www.palm.com/us/products/phon...tro/index.html
Its anoying as @)*%. The keys are so small that often the texts I send (and recieve from other co-workers) look like gibberish. The texting/IM fuction has some of those 'emoticons' (I think is what they are called) which is so wonderful to use on a work phone. I'd avoid this phone unless you have keebler elves fingers. Oh yeah one more big feature is 'facebook' on this phone, again a bad idea to have on a work phone imo.
I use a Blackberry due to my job:

Curse and a joy some days. And probably more than you may want.
I have a very boring Samsung. However, I have no need for anything fancy so I keep it simple.
iPhone. I love it most of the time. The interface is pretty slick. The software keyboard works very well. I had a palm treo before this with a hardware keyboard and was concerned that I was going to hate not having a hardware keyboard. It has not been an issue at all.
I use it a fair amount for web access. Even when I'm at home.
Downsides: web browsing can feel a little sluggish sometimes and it doesn't support flash. MMS is also currently not supported but that's supposed to be fixed in a couple weeks.
I have T-Mobile, fwiw. It's easy enough to find unlocked phones on eBay. I'd like to be able to get online with whatever new one I get, since I'm going to be traveling every weekend from February to the middle of April.
Verizon's version of the HTC Touch Pro

Just got it a couple of days ago. They are being phased out so the final cost with 99.99, and with my new in 2 it was 49.99
Already hacked it to run Windows Mobile 6.5 Beautiful OS, it is going to be a strong competitor for the iPhone once it goes live.

I'm no anti-Microsoft zealot (I like Vista for pete's sake!), but that's a stone cold fact.

Pros:
Smallest cell phone I've ever owned and also the lightest.
Some very nice applications.
Very bright display.
Does not waste battery power by lighting up the screen when you get a text.
Voice browsing with Google.
Virtual keyboard is good for one thumb texting but takes some getting used to.
Cons:
Comes with a "sack" not a holder.
Instructions are on the thin side. It took me the better part of 5 minutes to open the back, for fear of breaking the just purchased phone.
Highly touted "Sherpa" has been experiencing connection issues over the past week or so.
Android market is not as broad as iPhones yet.
Rated as one of the highest radiation emitting phones.
Virtual keyboard is slow when switching orientation. It is also not very sensitive, sometimes you have to press HARD in order to get a response.
Unlock pattern takes some getting used to. Still not convinced it's better than using a numbered locking system. In fact you can see the unlock pattern left behind in screen grease.
Who do I have to *&^% around here to get more Targeted AoE recipes added?

Overall not a bad phone. Had the battery fry in it twice since I've had it over the past 2 years though. Qwerty keyboard is much more friendly that a Palm Centro (even though it looks close together). It works well with normal sized to fat fingers, which the Centro didn't work that well for me when I tested it.
<sigh> Viv says its no longer "all me".

Good stuff so far, everyone. Definitely food for thought. I'm not sure if I want a keyboard or not. I have nails, so I have to adapt to texting with different phones.
I have a Motorola W510 right now that is a good phone, but it has just enough issues that sometimes I want to throw it through a window. Before that I had a Motorola KRAZR, which I liked a great deal.

It's an older phone now but I still love it. I have it flashed with Windows Mobile 6.5, +1 for great OS. However, Windows Mobile phones are a bit overwhelming for most people. They are the most expandable of all phones, but no one really utilizes their potential most of the time. It's a business phone.
If you want an amazing phone that has more features than anyone will ever use, go with the new HTC Touch Pro 2(offered from t-mobile). It's ridiculous. I want it so bad :c
Motorola something that Verizon gave me free for being a subscriber for so long. It has a feature where it will track my kid's cell phones and send me an alert if he goes outside a pre-set area. We're trusting so we told him he has a large travel area so he can see all his friends without it sending us an alert. That might not be too unusual a feature though.

I have a hard time buying that any version of Windows Mobile will ever challenge the iPhone in terms of usability. The last 10 years of Windows Mobile has been utter crap.

The lack of flash support on it is a bummer, though. How am I supposed to do mybrute fights without it? That reminds me, any luck with their youtube app? Pretty much without fail, they always stop loading about halfway through - even when connected to wifi. I don't get it.

Microsoft has stepped up their game with WM 6.5.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YP9PQ5iWFzM
A side-by-side demo from pocketnow.com. Having used it and played with both an iPhone and iTouch I thing it is coming close in terms of layout and function. Still a long way to go but it is getting there.
Rumors of WM7 are looking good too, but not near the jump we are seeomg frp, 6.1 to 6.5
I used a first generation (G2) iPhone that's jailbroken and unlocked so I can use it on T-Mobile. It was a replacement for my old Blackberry 7100t. Probably the best feature of the phone is the App store. It has already saved my butt a couple of times when I fined some need for some functionality that didn't come with the phone (like a chess timer), and discover that there is an app for that.
The web browser is very well designed as well.
To be fair though, I think most mobile phones have absolutely terrible interfaces. The iPhone is one of the few phones where the interface doesn't get terribly bogged down or cluttered as you add functions as well. RIM does a decent job as well, but it's aimed pretty squarely at business users.
Just wondering what kind of phones everyone has, since I'm starting to look for a new one to replace the POS that I have right now.
