I really hope the whole subplot this Gadzul Oil and the Blood of the Black Stream actually goes somewhere. There's quite a few references in the Port Oakes storyline, but it hasn't gone anywhere since I found the Eye of Horus in I8-I9.

Thats funny that i came across this forum post, it was just the other day i myself was running across the beach in GV and fell into that pocket of water, to my surprise there was a lvl 12 Blue coralax hybride swimming in the pool of blue water, not the typical green sludge you find around the beaches of GV...
I will be out searching for others....

BTW... I was able to go under the water and swim in that small pool of water in GV. Everywhere elese you just stay at the surface, yet in that small little pool you are able to go under the water....Just thought that was neat.

The Faultline Easter Egg is a nice little hiding place. Two folks with Cryptic shirts (I won't say who they are because it'll ruin the surprise) may or may not be there to greet you. I just wish the jukebox would play better music.

There are some "clicable" objects in Steel univertsy (didn't check others) and Vanguard Base, that display various texts:

Steel University:
- Library, second floor, just over Profesor Boram. There an IM conversation if you clic on the third computer (from the left).
- Near Admissions Officer Lenk, clic on the bathroom (men's door)
- Right room behind Guidance Counselor Jones, clic on the right photocopier

Vanguard Base:
- Clic on the computer in the conference room, near Leventera & Borea
- Near Gaussien (Mech room), clic on one of the cans (funny one )
- In the morgue (behind R&D room), top left "box" (funny too )
- In the hospital, clic on the x-ray in the back wall

You can also go underwater on some of the Cimerora cave maps (the ones that have water, obviously).

During some of the missions where you fight Nemesis Automatons, Some of them will start asking the others for their TDP reports. Which is from the movie "Office Space".

On the second floor, one of the microscopes on a desk under the ramp in the lab is clickable.
On the third floor, up the ramp in the lab, upper cabinet on the left is clickable.

I found a few more in the university.

The TV in the room to the left of the counselor.
The copy machine in the room to the right of the counselor.
The stack of files in the cubicle in the bottom row, second colum from the left.
And on the third floor of the library, the table up against the wall on the left.

This one is in the Cave of Transcendence Trial (damn how bad did I butcher that, its been a few years since I've done it.) IIRC its Oliver Lindenbrook's or Arne Saknussem's backpack and notes from "Journey to the Center of the Earth".

On the tech salvage rack, if you look closely there is issue 1 of the Blue King studios City of Heroes comic book

They also bear a passing resemblance to the monsters from the Alien series, as well as resembling the Brood from X-Men comics (of course, the Brood are partially based on the Alien, so that make sense), all well preceding Independence Day.

It's a bug. The Arachnos Cruise Missiles are pets spawned by the Arachnos Flyer. Why are they there? Because the Flyer bugged out and is stuck underground.

Also, unrelated, only somewhat an easter egg. On the Tech Lab map, in the room that has the raised ledge, the back area with a raised platform and a sizeable side area, the computers under that ledge have sounds straight out of Quake 2.
