What has happend to the East Coast servers?
Infinity's been just fine for me of late. I think it's your ISP.

A little bit of lag, but a lot of rubberbanding and animations not working right. (Attacks firing, but animations not going off; NPCs moving without walking) (even in mish instances)

It's always possible for it to be a part of the connection between your area and the servers - not the ISP, but something along the way. That would affect everyone in an area, but not every single person connecting. If it was happening for *everyone*, the devs would already be on it.

I've been having ISP issues for about a month now, however, before that mess started, Infinity (being the only East Coast server I play on), has been giving me serious netgraph issues. Enemies move around randomly, rubberbanding, long pauses when nothing happens, then suddenly everything happens rapidly...
I blamed my ISP for this, initially, til I did a Mothership raid on Guardian, one of the West Coast servers. Despite all the people, it was smooth as silk... well, lowered fps, of course, but the netgraph never hit red never gave weird spikes, and nobody was rubberbanding from my viewpoint. Swapped back to Infinity, and just having three or four people and NPCs near me would cause issues.
I can blame my ISP for random loss of Internet connection, but there's something going on between my place (central Florida) and the East Coast servers, that isn't happening with the West Coast servers.

I really only play Infinity, so I can only answer for that server. Most of the time, I have little to no lag, but every couple nights I will get massive rubberbanding and odd lag issues. When those nights happen, at least a couple people on my global friends list will report the same issues. Then the next night it will be fine again. Figured it was my computer being odd. *shrug*

ISP: I don't know, actually, just moved to a new place...
LAG: Yes, occasionally
Server: Freedom
Loc: CT
ISP: Cox
Lag: Absolutely unplayable during several points today. Multiple huge lag spikes, and mapservered several times, both during an ITF and when playing in AE in Atlas. I usually never have these issues, even during recent times on extremely heavy population times running around in Atlas farming with all the billions of other people in Atlas.

I've had some problems with lag. Nothing major, just big fights seem to make me start rubberbanding or having that whole click-a-power-but-it-doesn't-execute dealie, but take my vote with a grain of salt, as I have recently found many, many.....many Trojans on one of my computers.

East coast servers show a ping of 420ms, with a netgraph that is 10-20% red on most days.(unplayable even in deserted zones, with server population below 200).
West coast servers show a ping of 500ms, with a pure green graph. Rikti invasions on Virtue with 900+ server population works fine.

Lag: Yep. Mostly noticable as little hiccups in powers not firing when desired, it's actually been a bit better lately, though a few days ago it was bad enough (for a time) that I couldn't move - kept snapping back to the doorway.
Server: Pinnacle
Location: Western Iowa
ISP: Local cable company, unsure of specifics.
Has been borderline unplayable at times. It seems pretty random, with several hours of no problems and then a 20 minute time span where my connection and frame rate are just mush. There generally isn't any obvious cause for it, as one of my worst rubberbanding moments was in Boomtown, which is dead even on it's best day.

Infinity, Victory: Have been noticing sudden sharp spikes in lag. One minute I'm playing along fine, then the next I'm mapserving.
Justice: No problems in Gameplay, but the market is not working right. I try to drop something on the market, and it doesn't take. No messages saying it's too busy to process my request, it just disappears from the market. I had to "Claim" a purchased IO about 10 times the other day before it would actually get into my inventory.

I have noticed it for the past few weeks myself on Infinity. At first I thought it was just during 2x XP weekend, but then it persisted well after that. It has never been this horrible. I have posted under the thread under tech issues already, but hey, I'll post here too.

I noticed some complaints on the IGN Aion boards about ISP issues in the SW (Arizona/California) over the last few CB weekends.
As for me, I love to bash Qwest, but their DSL service in Denver has been rock solid over the last few weeks. CoH on Freedom has been a very enjoyable experience.

Lag: Whole of last week. Netgraph showed frequent red spikes and everything was rubberbanding. Almost unplayable. But after last Friday's downtime the lag was unnoticable and gameplay became smooth like before.
I had the same problem last year and it stopped after 2 weeks or so. When this happens other online games I play have no lag problems, so I'm pretty sure something went funky in the routing between the player and the server and not an ISP problem as a whole.
For my case I think it was due to the earthquakes in Taiwan of recent. As our routing to the U.S. goes through there.

I have noticed the past two weeks a LOT of lag on these servers for the past 3 weeks or so. The West coast servers run smooth as silk. The netgraph (/netgraph 1) reports a lot of red spikes. Thing is, at first I thought it was my ISP, but my other games did not suffer this problem and logging onto a West Coast server like Virtue and playing reported no problems.
I then began to search around and found other players with this exact problem. Upon contacting support, I am blamed it is my ISP. So has anyone else noticed this problem? It seems like NCSoft is unaware of this and I'd rather not have to pay 150-200 dollars to move ALL my characters off of an East Coast server to a West Coast server.
Edit: Can I ask anyone that reads this and plays on one of these servers to please reply with:
LOCATION -- Phoenix, AZ (In my case)
ISP -- Cox Cable Internet
LAG -- (Yes or no) Yes
EDIT: UPDATE!!!!!!
Our Network Engineering team has been investigating this in an effort to get it resolved as quickly as possible. By this point, we've gathered enough information from you to include in a compiled report (of other affected customers) as part of their investigation. We currently have no update on this yet but we're working to get this cleared up so that our customers can continue to play on the east coast servers without this problem.
