They won't get them because slows cause a MAJOR drop in fury gain. Notice not a single current brute set has a slow in it? THAT'S WHY! It was in CoV beta and they found the major problem there. Ice powers would work a lot better on a scrapper or stalker, but brutes need to be attacked FAR more often so they can keep their biggest damage buff as high as possible. |

Just wanted to address the OP saying "lol claws".
Especially now that we have had claws on brutes for quite a while now, they are easily one of the better sets available to brutes.
So, lol at thinking claws was going to suck on brutes.

Ice/Ice brutes has to be THE MOST wanted proliferation that there is left. I know Dom's want illusion and some scrappers want ninjitsu though, but fairly certain the brute community is more vocal about our want of ice.
I could be wrong on that, but it just seems so right (but not as right as ice going to brutes! lol)

Oh well, I still would like to see the set on brutes just the same! I can understand Illusion not being available to doms as is due to A LOT of tweaks that need to be made due to the way domination works...I can see why Ninjitsu is a mainstay for stalkers...it to would have to be tweaked to meet the needs of a scrapper...but in my mind Ice melee wouldn't need much change compared to the other two sets.
On paper and it battle Greater Ice sword isn't that great. I think it should be switched to Ice Sword Circle to keep up with the rest of the sets on the brute side of things.
I'm not so much wanting ice melee as much as I want ice armor, tbh. Never played IM on a tank, but I did have IA and I can say I loved it. Maybe a bit more DDR but with the slows I don't forsee that coming at all.
If we get ice melle and not IA, I'd cry. Might as well give us both to be safe

Cant wait for brutes to get ice defence will be soo much fun. i guess if they get rid of -rech they swap it for taunt/-dmg or something

It would be nice to see a devs' take on this now that Fury has been changed. It's been a while since we've had a Proliferation, and it might be best to bring Ice over to both Brutes and Stalkers this time.
