Smoke Grenade and ED were the worst (or so it seemed). So many DOOOMers were flipping out everywhere you looked. I'm was so convinced by their crazy arguments that I still haven't played any kind of Blaster or used Enhancements at all ever since!
I have everything I need with my toggle Instant Healing.
What was the deal with Smoke Grenades? I know ED was doom-ish, but I'd never heard about the grenades before?

Smoke Grenade, originally, was really, really overpowered. You were basically untouchable once you'd thrown one. Then it was "nerf/fixed" to its present state and all the Device users' hopes went up in smoke, you might say...

There was quite a lot of rage over the GDN in Issue 5 as well, which tends to get conflated with the rage over ED in Issue 6. While I do admit I haven't seen anything quite as bad as those (I wasn't around during the Smoke Grenade thing), I have no desire to break that record.

Blizzard can announce that subscriptions are at an all-time high and there will be people right on the front page of the general discussion forum yelling, "WoW is dying! Everyone's leaving in droves because of this one feature/bug/nerf that I personally despise!"
I'm actually, maybe I have a weird perspective not having played in a year (and not having played a lot in the past two years), but CoH seems healthier to me than it was the last time I was seriously playing.
