Toons that are 'replaced' by others?
yea. plenty of toons been "replaced".
Pretty much completly stopped playign my db/wp scrapper in favor for sword/shield scrapper. And my db/wp brute is now barely played in favor of my elec/shield one. Even my energy/elec brute been shelved.
my very first 50, a claws/regen scrapper is sitting atm with around 800 days since last login or something like that.
I have a BS/Regen that hasn't been logged onto for 348 days. Mainly since I prefer my Claws/Regen.
My very first toon here was a Kat/Dark Scrapper. Took my a lot of perseverance to get him into his 30s (hey, this was a few years ago ).
Then I rolled a Claws/Regen and he suddenly never got played again. I think the only time he comes out is if friends are doing something around level 40 as I have no-one else in that range. Shame really.

My very first character was a Katana/Regen. I got him up to level 34 and was so disappointed that I didn't get a new power, that I deleted him in disgust.
Of course, time and experience have made me regret that and I have rerolled him since, but he's sitting at level 32 and has been for about 3 years now.
Maybe one day I'll play him again, but I've got dozens of other alts who are more interesting right now.

Mine is similar, BS/Rgn -> Claws/WP. Plus most of my early controllers have been usurped at some point.
I stopped playing my Thugs/FF MM at 38 in favour of a Fire/Plant Domi which i got to 50 last night (without farming). First villain 50 and very pleased as i've been raving on about wanting to create a VEAT for a while, and now i can
I often prefer my 50 spines/regen Scrapper over my 50 fire/fire Tanker, too. But Isit (the tanker) is way too precious to leave on the shelf for long periods of time (in my personal opinion)
I can say my old main Psy-knight (Mind/Rad) replaced by Araf (Mind/Kin). After get used to Kinetics (especially SB and Siphon Speed) now Radiation seems kinda dull to me. So instead of carrying him onto Defiant i let him rot on Union with rest of my Union toons.
My DM/Regen got replaced by my DM/SR when both were in their 30s. It took me ages to get back to leveling the DM/Regen again and then after it hit 50 I've not touched it since.
My BS/SR, though much newer than my DM/SR, got replaced by it when I found a def capped build for the DM/SR that let me keep my epic set in full. Until then my BS/SR was my solo scrapper and my DM/SR was my team one.
While it was leveling my Claw/WP replaced all my other toons cause it was so damned fun (does that count?)
I have a Rad/Rad defender and an Illusion/Rad controller but I still take the Rad/Rad as my main TF toon. It was my first character, it was the first toon I gave sets to and its probably the character I'm most comfortable playing. If the team needs a controller I will play my Ill/rad but as a preference I'll defend over control.
I have a Merc/Dark and a Necro/Dark MM and they both have different roles. My Necro hasn't been used in teams as much since I had the Merc/Dark but nothing feels as safe as the Necro/Dark solo. NOTHING I tell you.
I'm trying to use my Mace/WP brute to replace my Fire/Dark brute cause I dont think I will ever be able to get a useful build with villains IO costs to meet my expectations. When I made the Fire/Dark it wasn't an issue, cause there wasn't IOs. Now I think its probably the character I could most improve with them, but due to the market being poor and my earnings on villains being consistantly dire I've decided not to waste the effort on him. I've put some uniques in my Elec/Fire though, but the Elec/Fire has that added fun factor.
I think maybe over time some characters lose their fun while others don't. The game changing can affect some more than others. My Rad/Rad isn't able to tank anywhere near as well as it could with SO's in I3 due to power changes, ED etc etc

ED devastated my AR/Dev blaster. She's only really effective against mobs with little resistance to lethal damage, not many of those around unfortunately so she doesn't get out much these days. Carnies and Banished Pantheon are her favourites
My Fire/MM Blaster rendered my first character, an Energy/Fire Blaster, pretty much entirely obsolete. Have recently considered rerolling them as Energy/MM, but not sure if I'll ever get around to that.
I feel as tho my widow has replaced all my current villian chars, when ever i logging a villian on to help folks now its mainly the widow who is first choice.
As for heroes i dont think any have replaced each otehr as i still try play them all but my main is still snow and still my favorite, even tho i do play my others regular

Energy/MM feels a bit weird. I have one on level 16 atm but not nearly close to my Nrg/Elec one.
Don't have many toons that have been replaced as such. Though there's one I know I'll never play again and that is my very first character kin/dark defender, utterly useless...I just can't bring myself to delete him as it was my first character.
Also have 3 energy melee toons which I basically never play after the ET nerf. It totally ruined the set for me...and I really loved those toons before the nerf

Just realised it's happened again on my blasters. I have my very first toon, created 3 days after launch in the EU. A Fire/fire sitting at level 41. I also have an NRG/Dev blaster who was originally created for the Union Double XP weekend (Still a bad idea IMO) and now a PSi/Nrg blater who's at the same level as him. I'd rather take someone else and Sk than use my F/F blaster. he's one of those toons that can seem almost unstopable at times but then faceplants 6 times in 5 minutes and that just annoys me. i find Psi far better with the /nrg melee backup and Nrg blast good for keeping the bad guys away with the KB and caltrops from Dev. Sure the DoT is good but it just makes the bad guys angry!

well , my db/wp brute was my first level 50 toon at EU servers. but i dinged her at summer DX then only played once for a LRSF.
My original character, Imoba Strife the Martial Arts/Reflex scrapper on Union has just been "Replaced" in these few recent days by Imoba Strife a Katana/Willpower Scrapper of the exact same apearence but in the Defiant dimention.
I love my original character to bits, and I'm realy just looking at this new version of him as a "What if" alternative. now he's made it past the lvl22 mark I'm truely suprised at how much [censored] he kicks, he does a much better job than his original self
My main and first 50, Chief Centurion Z1, barely ever comes out of retirement. Invul/EM tanker, used to feel hard as nails, still sometimes does but...not quite so. No idea why...
My global changed on its own accord way back, to my current one. My main main seems to have taken centre stage. I still fall out of love with Alpha for some of my newer/more crative toons, but theres nothing like rolling out with ALL the big guns in tow to make a Bots/Traps MM feel really damn happy
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

you also can think ice/mental too.. no fire-ball , but instead of that you get -slow and also -rech to stack with /MM. and with hold , you get more damage mitigation.
My first brute, an Energy/Inv brute barely sees any play time now. I think her last major run was tanking ITF runs. She got replaced by a Super Strength/Super Reflexes brute, although there's competition from a Stone Melee/Willpower, Dark/Fire and Elec/Elec.
My very first controller was an Ice/Kin, back in issue 4, but deleted in issue 7 due to wanting to start fresh. Illusion/Radiation controller has yet to be replaced by any other controller...
Like Amber, my Ice/Energy blaster has almost been replaced by a Fire/MM blaster. :3

My first toon Stone/Invul brute lvl 50 (first on union) rarely if ever gets used anymore. i tend to find melee somewhat boring since him but prefer my elec/regen stalker over him all time. tis a shame.
I'm someone that's gets an Alt to 50 then almost forgets them. At the moment I have a Emp/Rad (only used where there is no other option), a DB/WP both Scrapper and Brute (both semi retired) and a Fire/Dark Corrupter (still played but not often). The one exception is my Fire/nrg/fire Blaster which I use when ever I can still great fun solo or teamed.
Happy to be on Defiant.

Similar story with my kinetics characters. My first was a defender (kin/nrg)who I do still like I just find the replacement ice/kin controller a lot more versatile (though I have to admit I haven't played her so much recently..)
With blasters I'm always replacing the last one. Each blaster I've played (with the exception of my elec/devices) I've thought "wow, this is the best blaster ever" then I go and roll a new one and think the same thing again. Rarely go back and play any of them once they hit 50 either...
Yeah, I don't really play Empath so much anymore.
My Illusion/Empath controller is just more useful most of the time.

I find that to be the same with my mind/empathy.
Omnia was my first Character, created shortly after Eu launch, under a different name of course
She is empathy/psi and it's a shame that her psi blast powers are more or less redundant. At least on her counterpart controller, her control powers have a use and mean I don't have to run around like a headless healer!
I have a lvl 50 Kin/Rad. The first on Defiant actually. I loved her to bits but she was very dangerous to play once ED came in. She died. A LOT. I still brought her out occassionally for TF's and 50 runs etc. She was fun and I enjoyed playing her. Now I feel I'm leaving her behind a lot of the time. You see, I have another Kin character now, except she's a controller. Earth/Kin to be exact. I feel a little bit dirty doing it but whenever a Kin toon could be useful on a team or TF, I'll always take the 'troller, simply because she's so much more versatile than my Kin/Rad. I feel a little sad for it, but it's like my Kin/Rad has almost been superceded.
Does anyone else have a toon that's been userped by another?
It is also this point that makes me think Kin for 'trollers is broken and should never have been allowed or should be changed in some way, but there's too many Fire/kins out there for them to do it without howls of protest from just about everyone.
