Toons that are 'replaced' by others?

The original Mr Mac created about 3/4 years ago was a stone/fire tank but after realising how slow Stone was I made the 2nd Mr Mac Inv/SS while the 1st one was still about hence the "."

I'm such an altoholic anyway that I couldn't really say anyone else has been completely replaced, However my Thugs/dark MM has pretty much been mothballed and my kin Corr has taken the villain top spot.

I've got 50s with nothing to do really. They may login every 3 days, drop a mission thats from a endlessly recurring arc forprestige and log out. They often do things like store stuff as well. They all end up on the fence at somepoint.

obviously as times passed I play melee now over anything because I prefer being up front.

but after 3 brutes, i've finally foundd the most fun to play imo. dm/sr was my first, the pure st damage led to a ss/wp an after that was to easy an I got better in mids, I rolled a ss/elec my main set for recharge with a kin power surge is perma love it. I die A LOT but my god with 112% recharge without hasten its very nice imo.

sadly my level 45 widow will be my most exspensive build an deffinatly very fun.

Whipsaw, my spines / dark scrapper lvl 50 scrapper doesn't get out nearly as much as Chastity Girl, a Broadsword / Regen. Much easier to manage end on Chas .
Iron Paladin my Inv / Ss tank despite being able to take on the highest difficulty missions with comparitive ease, is not as much fun as Thermadyne the Fire/ Fire tank to play.

and Finally, give the choice between StarGlider the peacebringer or Powershift the warshade then villainous types will most likely hear 'Fear my Purpleness!'

Since getting Robotank to 50, I've pretty much abandoned him - there's loads more content that he's not done yet, but I tend to only roll him out for events like Robot Rampage.

As an altoholic, I tend to loose interest in characters when I hit 'the grind' wall - these days, I'll roll a new alt, play it relentlessly till the mid teens, then get bored with the grind, and will go roll something else.

So, one might say that nearly all my toons have been replaced by others at some stage

I'm a serial leveller - every one of my L50s gets replaced, as soon as they hit L50, by my next new character.

Though when I feel like doing end-game TFs/SFs/raids, GMs or high level MA content there's only a few of my L50s that get pulled out of semi-retirement.

My Fire/Fire Brute, Lord Mayhem, was my first L50 and while spiritually I still consider him my "main" character (mainly because his name is also my global), he really isn't as I haven't played him in combat for just over a year (last thing he did was the ITF, just after it was added in I12).

My Archery/Energy Blaster, Nightbow, was my first L50 hero (my 3rd L50 overall) and hasn't been replaced on his side/server - he's still my main go-to character for blueside/Defiant TFs/GMs/Raids, not that I play blueside often.

My Fire/Rad Corruptor, Sergeant Havoc, (my 7th L50) was my go-to character for SFs/GMs/Raids for ages (until I13), simply because when group-leaders asked what I was bringing, and I gave them a choice from all my redside L50s, they always picked him. I never minded - buffs, heals, debuffs and great area/single-target damage makes for a very versatile fun character - though eventually I was wheeling out my brutes for MS Raids instead, as constant detoggles were annoying me. (I adored my Ice/Storm on TFs too, but some groups needed a bit of persuading to take a stormy).

While I13 cured detoggle annoyances it also added dual builds. I got to play my Arachnos Soldier, Marshall Saint (my 8th L50), as a Bane Spider and found I preferred it to Crab. I had a character with status protection that combined most of the playstyles I really enjoyed with great damage and survivability, giving lots of tactical options. Once my Bane was fully slotted I struggled to find reasons to play my other redside/Union L50s.

Then recently my Night Widow, Mistress Distress, became my 14th L50 and threatened to take his place. I think they'll end up sharing the title of my main villain - I enjoy playing both and they're both really good at what they do.

I'm not sure anything can replace them redside... except possibly an Archery/TA Corruptor (come on Devs! Proliferate!), just because I love the Archery powerset so much.

My Thug/FF Mastermind, loved him to bits, got him to 32 but then I rolled a Kat/WP scrapper.. Never played him again.. Good thing is I got back into my dark/thermal corr

[/ QUOTE ]I have a similar lvl Thug/FF MM, and most admit that I find it really hard to lvl him, I just log on, do a mish or 2 then he goes back in the box for another 2-3 weeks.

Only had 3 50's until the last 2 weeks, where I finally got my Kat/DA scrapper to 50 (been a long time coming) and my most recent scrapper DM/Shield.

I did make a brief mention in the scrapper section in March about superceeding alts, so pre-empted this thread. I still play my 50 Claws/Regen, but find DM/Shield as so much more fun.

Both my other 50's are rarely used now, My Tank and my Brute, as more interested in getting other ATs to 50, including my stone/stone tank (not long had Granite Armor) which has made him much more enjoyable (but still suffers from high end use), as previously he has been a very slow leveler, like my son/son Fender.

I only have two 50's, my dark/thermal and a AR/Dev blaster that's just a placeholder for Khelds.

I once had a lvl 50 fire/empath troller.
After 3 years I deleted her and rebuild her to fire/kin troller.
Now I'm building a second toon with the same origins. But she's fire/fire troller (or radiant emission i think, something like that)
Chances are if I like the fire/fire(radiant) the fire/kin gets rebuild to fire/fire(radiant) troller eventually.

...or something like that.

amazingly i still look up my old toons if im starting to get alittle tired of my current toon i take a trip down memory lane with my first 50 (AR/DE Blaster) to put things in perspective after doing that i can then go back to my lastest toon and have fun with it i do sometimes remake toons for i feel something isn't right with the costume or the powers but apart from that all my toons have a place and a well deserved place it is

My original toon (and forum/global namesake) Skullfester claws/DA scrap was replaced after the first few levels by the Chosen One a katana/regen scrap...who has since never been replaced as my favourite and most loved toon.

Hero-wise, Isit, my first 50 and badged up fire fire tanker only really comes out to play when there's an event or someone needs specifics.

Cuppa Soup, my spines/regen scrapper is the hero of choice after 50.

In Villains, i played Avril, a thugs/ff MM to 38 then created Patially Unsafest, the Fire/plants domi which i played to 50 and she's now my toon of choice over on villains.

My first Hero and Forum namesake, Landrig was originally an elven mage in an rpg I played. Here, he became a Katana/Dark Armour scrapper. Then I discovered defenders, and Healer Kid was born (about 3 smeggin minutes after the end of the limit to be awarded the first anniversary badge I may add)

Bio Wretch was a stalker during beta, who then got abandoned for Mistress Necrosis who was also abandoned for my First level 50 villain Lykofos.

I have an excuse (I think )... my 1st 50 was my Forum namesake, electric/empath defender, in Defiant. Now most of my friends play in Union, and I started playing there too a year ago. We run weekly MoSTFs (haven't been completead successfully yet, but we don't give up ) and sometimes our "resident" empath can't play, then we have to look for a replacement and it's not the same than playing with a "proper" one; as I already had one in Defiant, it was a matter or paying money and transfer it, or create a new one from scratch. Now I'm playing a new empath called Radioterapia (lvl 40 rad/empath).
