Very, very sorry to lose you GR - but here's hoping you can join the ranks of regular players, and get some PvPing done. I imagine you'll need an unrecognisable name, though, or you may very well get ganked to kingdom come.
That said, Avatea is a perfect "replacement"; as one of the first NCsofters I ever met, it feels like we've come full circle. And perhaps some of the doom mongerers will be too busy drooling over our commanding lady, to doom monger anymore.

Annoyingly, we'll probably never find out if this was down to a bad decision by NC, a good decision by NC or just plain old fashioned crappy economy that seems to be taking down jobs all over the bloody place!

Like others, I think its a shame that NC West have been so silent over this - I just hope it doesnt hurt EU players loyalty, but more importantly I think the boat has potentially been missed here. Ok so we dont know what plans actually are going ahead, but this was a perfect time to get the server list merged with the USA side of the game, giving people chance to make new toons on the USA servers with all their vet rewards and current EU server chars/sgs/bases etc if they wanted to. This may happen, we dont know, but I for one am concerned about the level of activity of the EU servers and potential lack of support etc.
However this isnt a doom post for those ready to jump, a concerned one only.

I didn't completely read all the posts but what i understand from general behaviour players liked this news. Not me, i still think this official statement is too late for something they planned since last year. I don't trust NCNC/NCWest or whatever you want to call them.
I can understand in order to survive in Economical Crisis they need to cut off stuff. Many companies world-wide doing it. In my opinion important news like we got last week must be declared to playerbase by company. Hearing that kinda important things from other sources is ugly.
Anyway i know from general behavior of NCsoft my opinion matters so little for them. I wish good luck in their future projects but for me my NCsoft adventure ended, i am just waiting for my time to leave.
Thanks for the Statement GR its just a pity it wasn't out sooner (not your fault) would have avoided all that speculation and Doom and probably helped lessen the damage to peoples opinions of NC-soft (regardless who who's to blame there all gonna get tared with the same brush).

Like many of you, I don't want this to happen... but inevitably it will, whether it takes 2 days or 2 years... eventually we will be recalled back to the mothership...!
What will annoy me if it happens sooner rather than later, is the money I recently spent bringing all my Union villains over to Defiant.

Hi everybody! I haven't started on CoH just yet but I just wanted to say that I'm looking forward to working with you live from the Development studio!
It is going to be hard to take over from the fine person that GhostRaptor is, but I will do my best looking after you, not forgetting our French and German communities obviously! GhostRaptor will however be helping me through my transition and will be telling me everything about you all.
One last thing I would like to stress: this does certainly not spell the end of the European Community. I wouldn't be needed to go all the way to sunny California if it did. And while I don't have more info for you on this matter, I expect to be able to tell you more after I have transitioned.
Hang in there, there is still so much "City of Heroes" goodness to come!
