I always figured he WAS the recluse version of that time zone. Both were good friends/allies, both got access to superpowers/super strength, both lead a powerfull army and want to control THEIR city.

The only difference that i can see is that he doesnt have 8 limbs

Lord Recluse has the powers of Tartarus, not a Nictus.

*SPOILERS?*

Thats fair enough and all but a tf in a new zone hasnt really have us save the day as such without having something to fall back on/keep the storyline going before has it? In this tf we literally defeat him and let imperious take charge again. While in other tfs we meerly foil some form of plan/arrest them, not actually go in to defeat them and reclaim the city.

I cant see us having missions related to defeating him either way, imo it HAS to be about either the 5th or the shadow crystals to make sense. We'v defeated the leader, so now lets defeat the source of his power as such. Just wouldnt make sense to say "ok you defeated the leader now we'r giving you some missions to weaken his forces."

[/ QUOTE ]

But don't forget that the game, and MMOs in general, are on a loop, and content doesn't have to be added in any sequence - there's nothing to stop the new Cimerora arcs being written as if you'd not done the ITF - it wouldn't be progressing the zone, just expanding it.
For example, they could make the people you talk to in the introduction arc from the Senator become normal contacts, who'd each give a small-ish arc that expands on, or is based on, the info they tell you in the introduction arc.

Who said that heroes use metal bullets in their guns? Rubber bullets do not normally kill (unless they hit the wrong spot), but a normal thug would eventually pas out from the pain if hit by enough.
It is a lot harder to explain away the damage of a katana. Then again if you was skilled enough you could properly just scratch the skin of your target so that the hits was non-lethal.

Ok lets say a villain has a hostage and is about to shoot him/her. You being a natural origin hero only have a gun in your hand (in theory of course), now do you shoot and kill the villain to save the hostage's life or not?
If you kill the villain does that make you a hero?
If you dont kill him does that make you a villain for letting him kill an innocent person?

[/ QUOTE ]

Or, you could use the Rally Vincent technique of shooting his thumb off so he drops the gun...

As for my DB Scrapper, she cuts the tendons of the badguys to render them helpless. No killing, but it hurts enough to hopefully make them reconsider their naughty ways.

It also explains why it takes a lot of dramatic waving around of swords to beat them, rather than one quick stabbity throgh the heart

However, it turned out that Smith was not a time-travelling Terminator

There are other villain groups known to have been active during the Roman period.

Coralax and the Snakes for a start.

Another plot thought just occured to me: what if the menders actively try to interfer?

There fighting for the rights of Greek Women I'd guess

"Well, they found my diary today.
They were appropriately appalled
at the discovery of the eight victims
They're now putting it all together.
Women wrapped in silk
with one leg missing
Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"

A few thoughts. My main is a natural hero who uses a Katana and has become skilled enough at it not to have to split people in two every time he swings it. Rather he attempts disarms and incapacitation. His superpowers come from his secondary I feel. Otherwise he'd be a normal bloke.

Moving onto the good stuff, the mission creator I at first thought, ah that'll be nteresting but it had no major appeal for me. Then last night I was awake half the night planning out an arc... I'm very tired this morning as I got nowhere near enough sleep for me and I demand immediate compensation

All the other stuff so far looks pretty good too. I might not use all of it, but it's certainly adding things to the game.

The only sore point is the 30 day rocket power. I really do think it should be a permanant power. Paying £4.99 every month extra because you decide not to take an official travel power strikes me as odd. I know nobody is forcing us to, and if you've got money to burn go for it. But a better idea in my opinon would be that if you bought it, you got the pack for 30 days as normal. Then that unlocked the jetpack as a usable costume piece for your account.

And there aren't really any "normal thugs" in the game. Even skulls and hellions have some superpowers.

The Warriors?

Pretty much all highly trained thugs with weapons - their EB Heracles is the only one I can recall using any sort of power, and even that was just a single armour toggle courtesy of a stolen item.

Just a thought, maybe been already mentioned in this thread some where . The missions we build i take it will be avalible only to EU players, and will the US ones be US players only. Or will it be like a main mission server for both clients of the game. So as all can share and play each others missions ?

Or will the devs pick the best ones and post them as downloads in further patches ??

[/ QUOTE ]

I mentioned that on the Announcement thread about I13 - I was wondering if they'll be tied to a server, like if you make a arc on Defiant, will it only be open to Defaint players?
I think the "Devs Choice" missions would probably be open to all servers though.

[/ QUOTE ]

I really hope it wont be like this but can understand if it is. Be nice to have some form of interaction with players on other servers regardless of our location.
I know the mission log will almost certainly be overloaded in the first few weeks, but i personally cannot wait to try out other peoples hidden gems

Also i have so many ideas for complex story arcs

The only thing about cimerora is THAT enemy group thats there to help them, we'v defeated their leader so what else is there to do? Unless they start going on about the incarnates/nictus/coming storm into more detail (which for story progression sake i hope they do).

[/ QUOTE ]

IIRC, the Devs have already stated that created missions will be similar to the Consignment Houses and Black Markets in that they will be shared across all servers.

Impossible to prove or disprove without some dev letting us know how things really are (in terms of either game lore or actual implementation details).

However, mobs do normally show power fx when they're using non-passives, and warriors show nothing. If the Wiki article's accurate the only "powers" to their name are regular weapons attacks and an across the board S/L and knockback resistance, and all of those could be accounted for by them being "normal, but hard, regular humans".

Warriors?

Low-life thugs with a deep, burning interest in ancient Hellenistic culture. I'd say magic is the only possible explanation for that. (Really, the Warriors is probably the single most silly result of Emmert's penchant for squeezing his classical education in everywhere.)

Batman (film version) has been trained by uber ninjas in a secret Himalayan monastery and is a billionaire with the resources of a multinational corporation at his disposal.

Warriors are an illegal version of the local martial arts club, with access to a few smuggled trinkets (which they may not even use).

Different league altogether.

I'd rather expand the ancient Greek / Roman legends and maybe have some classic villains / challenges such as Medusa (we already have the snake body mesh), Harpies, Hydra (not the blobby Rikti ones), Giant Monsters - Kracken ~ there's plenty of sea around Cim?

I want them to open up the temple and fort areas in Cimerora - it seems a pity to have such big, unique maps just for the one TF
