for what for arena???hmmm i think that since the PvP zone launch we spend our time in PvP zones. The regular size daily in PvP zones varies form 15-20 people inside SC which seems to be most popular zone cause of the relative good amount of powers u get and the distinction between Hero vs Villain. On some good days we can get more than 20 like when we announce the intention of claiming control of the zone that happen last sunday where more than 20 people turn up.

Well perhaps if you STUCK to the principles you claim to have people wouldnt have to be told, you CLAIM you dont want them nerfed but yet go on about how overpowered they are and various other negative remarks and some blatent insults i dont care to cut and paste. I think you will find some DO read your posts though i can imagine many wont anymore. I have noticed it - more on this kind of thread then elsewhere - the use of 'dont get me wrong' or 'I dont want them nefed but...' or 'thats NOT what i said, i wish ppl would listen'(usually after they DID say it but are trying to backtrack).

If you feel strongly enough to post in the first place why not stick to your guns as it were? And if you are proved wrong as so many can be then why not admit defeat graciously? All to often what was a vaild point gets lost amoungst the 'snipe and tripe' then the total about turn.


What DO you want - no snide remarks or digs at anyone. If YOU could balance PvP (which IMHO is a ridiculous concept its theri to challange you) how would you do it?

Be honest do YOU read all teh other negative posts? Its only a tired accusation because threads like this make it so - its whinging regardless of how you dress it up, the ways round it are presented over and over to ppl who are frightened of change - come out of your comfort zones and live a little!
Respect and be respected - you wont give so why should they?

PvP is fun - it take a lil getting used to an a lil more thinking that PvE but its worth it.

A stone tank with mud pots would upset the stalkers, 2 scrappers stay within the PBAoE. An Ice tank running perhaps chilling embrace (not sure on that one thou). A fire tank laying down burn I think it is, although my pref is for the stone tank. Can a Stalker one shot a stone tank with rooted and Granite armour on?

I just heard a very horid tale that mud-pots and summit else have been tampered with....
Reports are unclear whether this was a nerf or what as I just caught the tail end of a convo tonight about todays patch.
I think perhaps with buildup and loadsa reds but TBH i think said tank would have to high HP =/

I have, several times.
The point is to not change ANYONE but to allow toons to buff, using temp powers, the holes in their build. We keep hearing about how you need a time with this and that. And we see it go quiet when I ask "what if there's no one suitable on". Siren's is hardly a bustling concourse of heroes, so what do you do? Should I just leave and wait for some ppl with the right powers to come on?
OR do the devs offer some useful temp powers? Ones a little less generic?
I suggested a shield that stops critical hits, and only available to squishies. The AS to death would still be possible but only if the target is injured first. I don't agree than an AS should NEVER kill.
So there you have it, a little imagination and you could probably come up with a slew of temp powers to ensure that any team, regardless of composition could buff itself to put up a good fight with a team, regardless of THEIR composition.

I posted elsewhere that PvP could be really dull if you have "incompatable" ATs facing off to each other. Imagine, 2 scrappers and a tank facing 2 stalkers - no temp powers for the heroes since the villains control the zone (for the sake of this example).
So, not a perception power or hold between us. We can't see them coming and we can't stop them getting away. (Yes I realise yellow insps are useful but I have to go to IP to get insps so I have to be a little sparing with them).
The IR googles and web grenades DO make things better, considerably better, but they don't go far enough.
Every travel power *should* be represented by a temp power. I don't know why SS was excluded.
As I've said MANY times, most of the issues raised will slip into the ether is and when Siren's becomes busy, but until then I believe better temp powers are a good way of compensating.

And not a nerf in sight.

I still fail to see from this example how this will solve anything, you specifically state in the post that temp powers are not available how then are we to buy them?

Further what the hell are two stalkers going to do about a tank and two scrappers. In a team we would walk all over the poor little stalkers!

What is more if these Temp powers are to be so powerful and all consuming what is to stop the stalkers using them too? So we get into a vicious circle where we have to have more than they do, they need more to prevent them being seen.

Using your above example, we hit this point: If the tank and scrappers are completely unable to work as a team, or to use their builds effectivly with out temp powers they get owned. If they can use temp powers to fill out poor builds then the stalkers get owned.... So the boot is on the other foot, the stalkers have no chance thus they will need to post long threads on the fact that temp powers are over powered and need nerfing. Becuase put it simply if I can see a stalker and am able to attack (nerf controllers) I will kill them very quickly!

Yes they need to be slotted with ACC now so it has killed off stone tanks one and only use in PvP now. It was not enought that we where slow as a dead snail now thay have taken the only usefull power we had in pvp away.

I managed to AS a stone tank in Sirens tonight with mud pots running fairly easily, I dont think this is a good change at all.

Me too, I loved that temp power. I didn't use it much in PvE because it just isn't really needed, but for PvP it's the perfect way to mess up those annoying Blaster types who pick on little ol' me and I've killed at least half a dozen Stalkers who revealed themselves hitting someone else only to get stunned before they could run... time it right and superspeed wouldn't help them in the slightest. Though good Stalkers probably would have the defence to protect themselves from such a cheep little tactic.

If I could buy that thing, I would... perhaps on of my favorite temp powers.


Getting back to the subject without repeatedly [censored] about how unfair it was. I remember my time in places like Sirens Call and Mercy Island where I would fly high enough to not be a viable target for Stalkers and we would have a Scrapper stand around in the open as bait...

To be honest, I couldn't care less if they nerf Stalkers or not... it doesn't worry me too much and they are always going to try and fix imbalance issues regardless of whether they exist or not. Better to make do with what you've got and not worry too much about it, it's just a game and at the end of the day PvP doesn't make up most of the game I like to play, it's just a neat addition I enjoy from time to time.

Thats cos they broke mudpots in yesterdays patch. They now do nothing except taunt, no slow, no damage ticks, therefore no AS interrupt Hopefully it wont take them long to fix it or at least to revert them back to pre-patch till they can.
Anyone know if they broke Hotfeet also while trying to patch it?

Thats cos they broke mudpots in yesterdays patch. They now do nothing except taunt, no slow, no damage ticks, therefore no AS interrupt Hopefully it wont take them long to fix it or at least to revert them back to pre-patch till they can.

I thought it was broken for Brutes and not for tanks, least thats what the patch bugs lists said initially

Hmm my bad then, i just assumed it would be broken for both as the same fix would have been applied across tanks and brutes.
