Sally
From all the times I've seen her, my levels ranging from 20 to 50, she has always been yellow. No exceptions.
(What the hell are we trying to accomplish by arguing what color Sally cons for what players and when?)

I have got to admit. I'm surprised by the conviction and varying results regarding what color Sally cons. I personally love Croatoa, and I've seen Sally con every color available. From Grey to Purple, to everything in between (I distinctly remember seeing her con Blue once).
Which is why I am solidly confused by the discrepancy.
[/ QUOTE ]My guess is that at least one of her spawns is presenting con color based on her level (30, I believe), causing people below 30 to see purple and above 30 to see gray, whereas the other spawns are correctly presenting a static con color of yellow.
[/ QUOTE ] I checked her several times since last night. I saw about 10 different spawns at various times while on different characters:
I found her while I was on a:
lvl 50 on Heroic,
lvl 50 on Invincible,
lvl 50 (EX'd to 32) on Heroic,
lvl 50 (EX'd to 32) on Invincible,
lvl 25-ish on Heroic,
lvl 25-ish on Invincible,
lvl 15-ish on Heroic,
lvl 15-ish on Invincible.
lvl 15-ish (SK'd to 31) on Heroic,
lvl 15-ish (SK'd to 31) on Invincible.
In all cases, she conned Yellow for me. (That was 3 different characters viewing Sally on several different occasions.)
I'm going with: There was a change at some point. If there is a lost spawn of her somewhere.. I have not seen it recently at all.
I'm so ashamed.
After I helped a friend transfer a purple recipe between two toons, I used the base Teleporter to Croatoa to get to the Midnight Club as fast as possible (been dayjobbing the character there), and on the way I noticed Sally.
I swam up to her and with impulses beyond my conscious control, I gave her a good whack in the back.
I cannot look myself in the mirror anymore. I'm such a monster.
[ QUOTE ]
I doubt there's more then one version of her, it wouldn't make much sense to do that. There's never more then one, it won't spawn if there's another one, so having multiple spawns of the same NPC would be like having two kinds of Kraken. Plus, it would mean that for the most part, the Developers went out of their way to code two separate types of Sally, and coded them differently enough that one could end up bugged, and the other not (or coded them differently, all together now).
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, technically there are 3-4 different arachnos fliers as well... they all take different paths through Grandville...
Of course, they're named differntly (Arachnose Flier A, B, C, etc.), but still...

Haha.
I thought she was gonna put up a fight the first time I saw her, so I toggled up and opened with Build Up then Head Splitter xD

Add a Lvl 1 PB to that test group, and she still conned Yellow. I don't remember her conning any other color than Yellow since I started playing (around issue 11ish).

I found her! Only once so far though and she was conning yellow to my 50. Gave a nice blaze to the eye, that's right her eye. She was looking at me funny.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah. And I bet she just calmly submerged didn't she? You didn't bother her much; she didn't even consider you worth killing.
If you can get her to fight back, that's the sign she thinks you're a threat.
[/ QUOTE ]Didn't they add a badge for doing enough damage to get her to actually attack?
By the way, for those of you wondering about sally, look in your hero alerts for something strange in croatoa. It seems that the notice for sally.
[ QUOTE ]
What has she ever done to any of you? Time to let her be.
How would you like it if while taking your bath someone ran in and punched you in the arm only to be followed by a dozen more?
Free Sally.....

Meh. Just another big lizard! Sally will make nice wallets.
Pew pew!
I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

Do non damaging attacks like Twighlight Grasp or the temp extinguisher power make her submerge? Squirting her with a giant water hose seems to be fairly humane.

[/ QUOTE ]
That only applies to Jack and the Great Pumpkin. The alert never refers to Sally. That is most likely because she is classed as an M and not a GM.

Most heroes nowadays have been squirting her with a "water hose". That's why she usually cons yellow.....

Arc #271637 - Welcome to M.A.G.I. - An alternative first story arc for magic origin heroes. At Hero Registration you heard the jokes about Azuria always losing things. When she loses the entire M.A.G.I. vault, you are chosen to find it.

No, non-damaging attacks don't make her submerge. One of my favorite things to do on my gravity troller is to use Wormhole to teleport her onto land. It's a challenge to see if I can get her to the middle of town before somebody hits her

I actually have that exact buff/nuke chain set up on a single key on my G15, including the pause for 3 seconds to use /em dance6

Since you're including the pause already anyway, use cce # ccevillaugh... Inferno should go off just after your body ignites.
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

I did this less than a month or two ago, so if they changed something it's very recent.
Either that or any TP resistance she has is mag 4 or less. If she has mag 3 (boss-level), TP Foe wouldn't work but Wormhole still would. I'll have to break out the power analyzer next time I see her...
I'm not sure, but, at one time, didn't the Devs have more than one Sally able to spawn at the same time? I don't remember whether the Devs ever did or not.

Even if they did, her pathing is wonky so she ends up swimming through some of the shoreline anyway. More than once, I've seen her 40 or 50 feet inland.
