Hi, my name is Primal, and I like to Scrap. I like teaming with Tanks and Khelds, but I don't like playing them at all, solo or teamed. I'm a good Defender but I admit I can only play them on teams.
Here is my almost up to date list.
Almost.
Scrub a stalker, add a scrapper and a corrupter, I think.

Something in the back of my mind went ding when the data from you two went in...
... anyone else see an interesting trend? Something's there I can't put my (mental) finger on...
(must have stayed up too late last night on a TF)
Edit: Oh, and, assuming the 150k is still accurate or thereabouts for population:
71 people reporting makes us pretty significant slice of the forum-going population (which should be quite a less than the 150k), but .004% of the entire player base. That's a pretty good slice just of the players, and a darn good slice of the forum goers; our error rate is going down quite nicely. We should be fairly indicative of the forum goers, and sorta indicative of everyone...

Controllers, unsurprisingly. I like having tricks up my sleeve and having things to do. Just running around shooting and rocket-punching people gets tiresome. I have 8. Also 7 Defenders, and 7 Scrappers.
Because you have to have a -little- rocket-punching, from time to time.
Off the top of my head:

I know I am a altiholic now:
Blaster - 16
Defenders - 15
Scrappers - 12
Controllers - 9
Masterminds - 8
Tanks - 6
Dominators - 2
Stalkers - 2
Corrupters - 1
Brutes - 0 (just haven't come up with a power set I want to work with yet)
for a total of 71
and these are the ones I actively, play there are a few I am looking at deleting at some point. So I guess you can say I really like Blasters.

Ok I had to post this.... just added a new character today.
Scrappers are now 13.
I so do have to stop getting new character ideas. All ready have 2 (a Brute and a Defender) for I16 (at least the powers sets, am working on the names and looks)

A Brute, tank, and Scrapper are on the chopping blocks. Whenever I get inspired to make new characters.

Back in the day I remember having 7 of 12 slots just for Inv/SS tankers, so I'm getting a little more variety in there. Only 3 of my 17 are under 30, so unless I get some cash to buy extra slots, this is what I'll have. Even then, my next two planned characters are tankers (Inv/Stone, and Inv/Elec) so the balance won't really be shifting.
hmm seems lots of people have altitis but keep the characters they create...
Scrappers: 3 (1 shelved)
Blaster: 1 (shelved)
Peacebringer: 1 (...shelved)
Warshade: 1 (yeah, this one too, possibly an I16 name saver)
Corruptor: 1 (guess what goes here)
Dominator: 1 (this too, Mainly a name saver for I16)
Now lately most of the time I've created a new character it's been either a Scrapper or Blaster on blue, and a Corruptor or Dominator on red. Have never played a tank, defender, or stalker past lvl 10, my one lvl 50 is a scrapper.
Waiting for I16 to make a new nrg/nrg blaster and mind/nrg dominator
50Soulsunder: DM/Regen Scrapper
50Limitshift: EM/WP Brute
Victoria Nox: Dark/Dark Dominator
And about 5 others that change constantly...
Just above 30:
4 Blasters (2 50")
4 Tankers (2 50's)
4 Scrappers (2 50's)
2 Controllers
2 Defenders (1 50)
2 Kheldians (1 50 PB)
1 Stalker (50)
1 Widow
Got plenty of others and at least one of everything...many in the 20's
Well, file updated. (including the bump of Scrappers to 13)
At this point, we have 3101 toons listed. What had been previously a tight race between normal heroes and normal villains is beginning topull away... tankers (the least popular "normal" hero) stand at 313 whereas the most popular "normal" villain (brute) stands at 253. I'd say the other thread's point about people "starting" in heroes, and treating villains as a sort of epic or advanced may have some fruit to it.
The numbers of EATs on both sides is about the same: 121 Khelds to 115 SoAs.
Altitis: the mean is still about 40.6 with a deviation of 38.87. Given that in any population, you have to be at least one deviation away before you aren't "normal" (usually two or three, honestly), a "low" number of alts would be a main and an alt. Altitis would start if you had about seventy-six alts. Bad altitis (for our forum population) would begin about 113 alts. "Oh, my... you have alts!" level would be about 148 ish alts. "Dude/Dudette, that's an army there!" level would be about 184.
Mode has inched up to 27, for those keeping score.

I'd imagine that it's more likely that you get people who consider their number or distribution of alts unusual.
Much better was the old stats pages on City Info Tracker - but they dissapeared some time ago. Ok - it'd still have a bias but my guess is it'd be more representative of the population than a thread is.

Other than my Scrapper obsession its fairly even between the ATs I play and those I don't like I just dont have any toons for at all. Though this means I have created at least one of each AT to test
Most of my characters are Magic Origin, of my 50s I have 2 Mutant, 1 Science, 1 Tech, 2 Natural and the rest are all Magic, I cant remember for the other levels though

They're now putting it all together.

Eight legs, one body, silk,

Probably Defenders or Controllers, think I have a half-dozen of each at least.
My most often played AT would be Corruptors. They can do it all, put out nice damage, debuff, buff, nice power pools...come on Going Rogue so I can send them Blueside and get more loot.
I have a 46 Peacerbringer that I enjoy and a 44 Warshade that I've shelved. I can't really play Kheldians when SoA have just better...stuff.
Edit, numbers:
9 Defenders
6 Corruptors
6 Controllers
5 Scrappers
2 HEAT
3 VEAT

Most-played for me is Brute, no question - I have 5 of them at L50, more than I have of any other archetype (at L50 or otherwise).
But most often created? Probably Dominator. In I6-7 I made dozens and dozens of Dominators trying to find a combination I liked - 99% of those Doms ended up getting deleted in the mid teens levels (often due to crippling end issues combined with lack of damage). I currently have two Doms at L50, though my next redside levelling project is a Plant/Elec Dominator.
After that it's probably Blasters and Corruptors, for both "played" and "created".
My list of active characters includes the following:
5 Brutes
5 Corruptors
3 Blasters
3 Controllers
3 Defenders
3 Masterminds
2 Dominators
2 Stalkers
1 Scrapper
1 Tanker
1 Arachnos Soldier
1 Arachnos Widow
1 Peacebringer
1 Warshade
If it has eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.
It's a split fight between Masterminds and Brutes.

Well, our Lady from Liberty has upped the ante in an interesting way...
2732 total thus far (not counting the "lots," "bunchas," etc).
Mean number of alts: 40.59 with a standard deviation of about 37.2... means we have some really heavy users. Mode's 24.
Also means Sweet_Sarah of Liberty is a smidgen past the fourth deviation away... that's rare air there (0.1% of a given population is that far away from a mean in any analysis. Given ~150k play CoX... there might be a hundred and fifty total ish people in her weight-class as far as alts created/played) in anyone's breakdown for anyone who is worried about taking the crown of "Most Alted." Also means you don't have to worry about being bad in altitis until you have about... 78 alts. But, we work out to having about 40 alts a piece with more people having twenty-four than anything else. That discrepancy is also interesting, fyi, when you work out how significant it is.
Heroes: 1742, 63.76%
Villains: 990, 36.24%
Hero-Villain ratio: 4.6:2.9
HEATs are ~3.8% of characters created, VEATs are ~3.5% (lots of rounding there), with an overall EAT creation of ~7.2%. This lends to some interesting stuff, considering the data from BABs in the other thread.
The most popular VNAT created is still the Brute... the least popular HNAT is still the Tanker. However, there are more tankers (still) than brutes. Interestingly enough, adding the EATs (both villain and hero), only one VNAT exceeds the number (although, one is darn close): Brutes. Brutes: 235, EATs: 198, Corrupter: 194.
Scrapper (by far) is the most popular hero set with 419. Of the HNATs, the ratio of most created versus least created is: 1.5:1 (Scrapper to Tank)
Brute to Stalker (most popular VNAT to least popular VNAT): 2.1:1
For the heck of it:
HNAT to HEAT: 15.9:1
VNAT to VEAT: 9.4:1
HNAT to EAT: 8.3:1
VNAT to EAT: 4.5:1
Interesting, no?
Edit: for the person who wanted HAT vs HEAT/etc
HAT (Heroic AT-including epics) to HEAT: 16.9:1
VAT (Villain AT-including epics) to VEAT: 10.4:1
HNAT to VEAT: 17.25:1
HNAT to VNAT: 1.83:1
HNAT to VAT: 1.66:1
