Recharge isn't Damage, but the RIP set IOs are Damage enhancements. Every single one of them. Not a single one of them are Recharge enhancements. *That* is why they can't be slotted into Dark Servant.

Yes, some of them *give* Recharge, but when the slotting system looks at them, all it sees is a Damage enhancement, because that is the *type* they have.
When the slotting system determines which enhancements actually have an effect, it goes something like this:
"Ok, here's an Expedient Reinforcement: Accuracy/Recharge. It has the type Damage. Does Dark Servant accept enhancements of the type Damage? No. Ok, IO has no effect."

It doesn't matter that the IO gives Accuracy and Recharge, because that's just what the enhancement *does*, it's not what (type) it *is*.


To make the Recharge from RIP set IOs work in Dark Servant (without fundamental changes to the IOs and/or slotting system), you'd have to make it accept Damage enhancements.

To make the Accuracy/EndRdx from RIP set IOs work in Dark Servant's powers, you'd also have to make its subpowers (at least the ones you want to be affected by Acc and EndRdx) accept Damage enhancements. This would include Twilight Grasp (a heal/debuff) and Petrifying Gaze (a Hold).


Similar things hold for other IO sets slotted in Dark Servant.
Acc/* from Accurate Healing sets only applies to Twilight Grasp.
Acc/* from Hold sets only applies to Petrifying Gaze.
Acc/* from Immob sets only applies to Tenebrous Tentacles.
Acc/* from Accurate ToHit Debuff sets only applies to Twilight Grasp and Tenebrous Tentacles (well, Chill of the Night too, but since that's autohit.....)


Basically, slotting sets into Dark Servant doesn't always do what you want it to do.

So then how would you label emotes that have more than one slash command to implement them?

Such as .... ;getsome and ;kissit

That's one emote with two different slash commands to implement it. There are several others that are similar.


If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Mmm ... I just tried to do this TF on live the other day. There were level 40 Paragon Protectors in more than just the first mission. We defeated the ones in the first mission, but were unable to complete the TF due to level 40 PPs with difficult power combinations in a later mission (in KR).

This problem is not just on the TF. I've had to abandon two lvl 30-35 crey missions because a lvl 40 elite mysteriously spawned in them. If the fix was applied to crey in general, GREAT! If it was only that one mission, this probably needs more attention.

In theory, the problem is somehow elites got added to the spawn-creation list for crey at that level, even though they only spawn 40+. So if it's fixed there, it could very well be fixed elsewhere.

No idea. I ended up fixing it myself, by getting a shiny new computer that loads zones in a matter of seconds (versus 30 seconds to a minute that my old computer took). It also fixed my "Lost Connection to Map Server" problem, when accessing the Markets.

I'll try to remember and run CoH on the old PC, and have my wife send some global chats while it is zoning.

Has anyone confirmed this fix as working or not? Someone in the BMT of Champion channel was saying that they knew of a team that had tried it on test and had the level 40 PPE's spawning in the later missions. i didn't put much credence in their statement since whoever allegedly did it apparently didn't care enough to post the result here.

No, they have not. I had it happen a couple days ago (on live). The only reason I noticed it is that I had 2 accounts running - one was zoning and never saw several global channel messages that DID show up on the other account.

Anyone confirm/test that the Manticore TF doesn't spawn lvl 40s at all like they do on Live?

Patch note still states just the first mission......

We had 2 spawn in the final mission 10 feet from the AV, it really really really sucked. We had to call the TF because an AV and 2 +7 Bosses were to miuch to handle. We tried pulling , seperating and zoning and nothing could get them apart.

P.S. they were both AoE PP's so they would kill us all in 2 hits.

Um, excuse me?

While Dark Servant does not take damage, it is not permanent until killed. Which means it actually does need to be up faster than it recharges normally at times.

I really wonder if the developers just hate Dark Miasma on general principle.
When I went off on support over this power not allowing me to slot the IOs I'd already crafted this wasn't quite the response I was hoping for. Oh, bother. On the plus side I sold them for a hefty profit and six slotted lockdown instead. I do agree that they should either tune down the recharge on this pet, allow slotting of recharge intensive pet enhancements or make the pet have a longer timer on it. I'm considering dropping this power simply because I don't seem to get much use out of it.

For them to allow RIP IO sets to be slotted, the would have to enable the ability to slot damage enhancements - as because that is what all RIP IOs are at their core (they just enhance non-damage elements too).
So the lower recharge time or longer pet life are more likely if they do any kinda change in that.
