    Yes instead of one decent drop every 5 hours it's now one every 3 hours lol. Better off farming the wall in Cimerora for drops.
  2. Maybe this is a dumb question, but when you heal a teammate do you drop out of stealth? (like when you attack a target). Was thinking an illusion/emp would be a great support toon provided you don't drop out of superior inv when you heal/buff a teammate.

  5. WindEnergy, thanks for taking the time to post that build. Certainly more damage and mitigation. Stacking Dark Pit with OG is interesting; though running into melee range for OG to hit sort of goes against the idea of building defense for range and aoe. Melee attacks are the achilles heel of the set no?. In any case I plan on trying all the Dark blast powers out as I'm leveling then decide on the final build based on the ones I like/dislike.

    Also, how good is Vigilance for defenders now? Your build is great except that endurance recovery looks to me like it might be an issue. With accolades on and repulsion field turned off it's still at 1.8/s net gain. I always found anything under 2 borderline unplayable.

    Yeah, I've never been sure of how -tohit translates to bumping up defense. I know it's not a 1:1 ratio, but I still have a bit of -tohit overkill you're right. Thanks for the advice on Repulsion Bomb. I'll definitely try it out. As mentioned never played FF before so I'm a little green when it comes to power selections.

    If I 5 slot RB with Posi's Blast I can use the extra slot to 6 slot Dispersion bubble for Ranged bonus. Think I'll put a set of Thunderstrike in Gloom as well for more damage.
  7. Been wanting to roll a bubbler for a while. This guys at lvl 14 right now but plan in him being my next 50. Build is a FF/Dark/Dark. Shooting for ranged/AoE soft cap which I've got. I don't mind being strictly team support (+def and -tohit) but kinda wondered if I could get any more damage into the build. Some damage sets would be nice in the attacks but the bonuses from Cloud Senses are too good to pass up.

  9. Does anyone know if slotting this in Aim will give you the perception increase even while Aim is down (or not being used), or do you only get the 20% perception increase when Aim is executed?
  10. Having trouble managing a build for MA/Shields with soft capped positional defense (or close), that's not going to cost a billion influence, or have annoying endurance issues!

    I can't figure one out. I have a MA/SD scrapper and I love the RP concept of the character but I can't seem to get to a final build that I'm pleased with. Seems either endurance is bad and defense is good; or the opposite. Or if both def and end are good then things like, accuracy and damage are bad.

    The build below is the closest I've come to something that I like. I'm not happy with the accuracy numbers. Am I being too picky? lol Any suggested improvements would be welcome.

    I don't PvP, I've been in Paragon since before we even had Pvp...

    I toyed around with zone pvp when it launched and tried a few arena matches just for kicks, never really had the reflexes for it though. However...

    If that statement is accurate and not just hyperbole I'm shocked. It's no wonder the pvp community is so upset if thats the case. Please tell me your exaggerating!

  12. Any sword primary works with WP. Any primary works well with WP for that matter. It's a great well-rounded secondary. There's also Katana; which works nicely to compliment WP (the same way broad sword does).

    As for which get priority; I usually go for a little more offense early on and try to limit the toggles that you take in the secondary until you get Stamina. For Willpower definitely take the first 4 powers as early as you can; you'll eventually want to take all the powers except Resurgence.

    Your defense will not be as good as SR if that's what you're expecting to attain. You can improve those numbers though. With weave and 3 Aegis slotted in your resistance powers you can start to approach the soft cap for fire/cold defense. Dual Blades has several attacks that can be slotted with Eradication which is commonly used for a negative/energy defense bonus.
  14. Looks like a pretty good build, but without knowing what you intend to do with it (solo, PVE, PVP) it's hard to comment on any changes that might help you.

    For example, I team a lot so would probably have skipped laser eye beams and torrent and gone with Flashing Steel and Hasten instead.
  15. Made some changes to the build here. Regen is greatly improved in this one.

    I'm slightly concerned with the accuracy of each attack. Should I be? 33% Accuracy set bonus is just okay IMO, and I don't have tactics.

    Ok one thing I would change with your build is Rise to the Challenge. Never slot it for -tohit, it doesn't do much with the slotting you have it only does -5.7% it starts out as -3.75%. It is not worth it.

    Is it a flat 3.75% or per person in melee up to 10 like the regen portion? if it is per person then its a huge increase. I could never figure it out from the description

    It's a flat 3.75%. If it increased for every foe in range I wouldn't bother slotting for defense at all You can slot it for -tohit and get it up close to 6% though.

    I've had trouble sticking with one until 50
  19. Thanks for the headsup on RTC. 3 Numina's and the Regen Tissue +Regen IO in there now. This is how I have it slotted for my WP Tanker anyway. And thanks for the link to the quide; pretty sure I've read that one (read most of the scrapper guides) but still some good info there.
  20. Thanks Old Scratch. I like your regen numbers compared to mine. Yours isn't the first Katana build I've seen with only 4 slots in Flashing Steel and Lotus drop. I suppose the damage is still okay in those attacks and with good accuracy bonus any extra accuracy slotting would be pointless. I may try just putting 4 slots in the lotus drops.
  21. Wanted some advice on this Katana/WP build. He's at lvl 41 right now and currently has a different build for leveling, but below would be his final build.

    Build is exclusively for PVE. He'll be my first level 50 scrapper, so wanted to put some good inf into him. Basically want him to be extremely survivable in regular PVE content and AE stuff, and deal nice damage. Nothing crazy. I'm not a real DPS guy but if some minor tweaks to the build would allow me to try some AV or RWZ challenges with him that might be fun; but I have no idea what's required in a build for that. I went for soft capping typed defense rather than positional. Smashing and Psi are the only defensive holes but I have decent resistance to both.

    The lack of +tohit in the build worries me somewhat. I tried working tactics in but then I lose some of the defense bonuses and the endurance is starting to get heavy. Btw, what's a good net/edurance gain to shoot for with Katana to maintain a good attack chain? I know it probably depends on the preferred attack chain, but advice on a general range would be nice to get. He's at 3.31% net right now. That seem high enough or is it overkill?

    Katana or BS?

    I don't have a BS toon but generally BS does more damage but at the expense of slower recharge &amp; cast times, and the endurance penalty is higher than Katana for nearly every attack. Other than that, they do basically the same thing in terms of secondary effects of the attacks.
  23. So can that 50% base tohit number that all bad guys have be increased with tohit buffs, or is it only the accuracy side that can be buffed? (speaking strictly PVE)

    For example a custom enemy in an AE mish hits build up which gives a 20% tohit buff, the 50% in your equation is now at 70% correct?
  24. Does slotting a Membrane in Heightened Senses (Willpower) work the same way? In Mid's it doesn't do anything to Def Debuff resistance but wondered if maybe in game it did.
  25. The Achilles IO works well in Gambler's Cut (GC). GC is your fastest recharging power and lowest cast time so gives you more chances of the Achilles proc hitting. I'd suggest you work one in there and move the full set of Mako's to Divine Avalanche (DA). The full set of LOTG that you have in DA gives you no accuracy for that power, which isn't ideal. You want it to hit for the Melee defence that it provides.

    Getting positional defence up on a willpower scrapper can be a challenge, since they start fairly low (except for Melee w/ Katana). You may want to try getting your defence up for the other attacks types (Fire to Negative) you can soft cap those pretty easily.

    You don't seem to be going for +recharge but if you throw your Blessing of the Zepher IOs into Super Jump, you can slot a LOTG +recharge in Combat Jumping. Gives you +7.5% global recharge plus a shade more defence to all.
