Quick question regarding DDR and Active Defense

I've read that slotting a Membrane into Active Defense will improve your defense de-buff resistance. When I tried it in game the stats monitor did not reflect any improvement. It stayed exactly the same.

Did I do something wrong? Does this actually work and if it does wouldn't an Enzyme work better?

Which stats monitor? The one in the enhancement slotting screen, or the Combat Attributes window? Membranes should enhance it, by everything I'm seeing.

Did you activate the power again, after you changed the slotting? Remember, it's a click, not a toggle

Like I was saying, I know that a Membrane enhances DDR if placed in Active Defense. Everyone knows that and so do I. I was just wondering though, wouldn't an Enzyme work better?

An Enzyme would, yes. But it wouldn't enhance recharge the way Membranes do. And you want recharge in Active Defense, to perma if you don't have huge global recharge and to stack if you do.

Does slotting a Membrane in Heightened Senses (Willpower) work the same way? In Mid's it doesn't do anything to Def Debuff resistance but wondered if maybe in game it did.

OK, so here's my NEW question! In the following build I am considering moving the LotG Defense out of Combat Jumping and placing it into Active Defense then slotting it with two membranes. That won't make it stack permanently but it gets the single stack time to around something like 4 seconds while Hasten is up. Of course I'm a good bit off from perma hasten as well but builds are about compromises.

Would someone mind telling me what my DDR would be at? I'd really appreciate the help with the number crunching. I'm not really even sure how to figure it. Overall I'd lose some defense but still be softcapped to all positions so the only time the loss might matter would be if I was getting debbufed and this would still be a significant improvement anyway, wouldn't it?

21.87% from Battle Agility
20.76% for each stack of Active Defense (so 41.52% most of the time).
16.05% from Grant Cover.

So you'll have 58.68-79.44% DDR. Two more Membranes in Active Defense would give you 91.90% all of the time (Active Defense permanently doublestacked).

I guess I need to play this game a lot more. I thought from the title that you wanted to know something about how Dancing could help your defense, and got excited that we might have a new Scrapper secondary.

Anyways, I just wanted to post that, I have no real useful information on shields. Also, thank you Besserwisser, I'll be remembering those numbers as I level up my shield brute.

Oh, missed the first part of the question. Just so there's no confusion, 58.68-79.44% DDR is for the build Powerforge posted. As Dersk said you can't slot defense sets in Active Defense so there's no way for me to do the math on that.

Yes, sorry about that. I meant to say I would move the slot from Combat Jumping to Active Defense and use it for two Enzymes or two Membranes or a combination which is actually what I did.

Sorry for the confusion there.
