    Necro/ ? Help

I need to pick a secondary to go with Necro/ and I can't decide what to go with. I'm looking for a fun solo'ing MM.

Heres my thoughts on each set but please correct/add to anything if you can help.

    /Dark:
Pros:Great debuffs and -regen with a heal with a fun pet.
Cons:Accurate Heal and looks sort of boring.

    /FF:
Pros: Great Def + Mez protect w/ Repel bubble for Itrials
    Cons: No heal or debuff

    /Pain Dom:
    Pros: heals/buffs
Cons: no +def and seems end heavy.

    /Poison:
Pros: ST Heal and St debuff
Cons: no Aoe heal and seems fairly weak.

    /Sonic:
    Pros: +Res.
Cons: No heal or + Def

    /Storm:
Pros: Cant think of any. a -res in one power and a +res/+def in another.
Cons: Always KB's, but thats could be a Pro.

    /Therm:
Pros: heal, +res, -res/-res, Flaming Zombies.
    Cons: Gphx Heavy, no +def

    /TA:
    Pros: None. Hate this set.
Cons: Alot. no heal or buff. debuffs seem meh.

    /Traps:
    Pros: Never tried it.
    Cons: never tried it.

    Time Manip
Pros: Heal, +regen, debuffs, +def, holds.
Cons: feels underpowered. Heal seems kind of meh.

While I understand and have dipped my hand in each and gotten each around 30-32, I need people with a more experienced look at it before I make a decision to take to 50 and IO out.
I've gone to Mids and seen the numbers which is important but synergy feels just as good. Just so those who post who ask: "What do you normally play?" I'd have to answer a Brute or Kin. I like my Power and staying buffed while trying to debuff and heal (the full package if I can) but im flexible if it runs well.

    Pre-thanks to any that post.
  2. Hello everyone. This is my first build posting on these forums and this is my personal preference on the Empathy/Radiation set. (Issue 21 compliant)

    Beginning:
    ----------------------------
This set is for those with alot of patience and influence.

Empathy as whole for its set bonuses that I have slotted are quite expensive at the moment but can easily be purchased through Merits or Gold/Silver/Bronze rolls. I put in about 1.2 billion influence on this toon over the 2 years that i've played him.

Radiation as a build feels underpowered and needs a good buff. It has a great PBAoE in Irradiate and one of the best non-nuke defender attacks in the game in Cosmic Burst. Great Damage and is able to disorient Lt's, and Minions. 2 applications and you'll be able to disorient most bosses in the game.

    --------------------------------------------

Why did I take what I took? From personal experience with the build. I've remade him with Do's, SO's then eventually IO's. I don't slot purples because I like taking the money and dividng it up with my SG. This build is balanced to my standards and plays like a lower damage regen scrapper at times.

Why did I make this (reference)guide to making this particular build? People were asking me on how I'm able to be in what seems like 2 places at once. It's a build based on Recharge and the most important part; Practice. Practice on the empathy build is the most essential thing to any team of any AT. A, new-to-the-AT, build of Brute, tank or Scrapper can run into a crowd with no toggles on and lost on what they're doing, and you can make them survive the entire encounter.

Playing with newer people doesn't bother me either and it's always nice to get a challenge in there too. We were all New to this game at one point.

Well, I'm not one to try to explain something that's been posted by many different people with each their own take so I'll skip to a FAQ's part.

    FAQ:
    -------------
Why Did you take both Superspeed and Superjump?
A: I just did and I know I could get other things like the leadership set but I'm not to big on toggles. I'm an Empath with near limitless endurance.

Why did you take Power Mastery?
A: Power Build up, Total Focus and Force of Nature was a nice "Oh no! My tank went down and I need to fill in!" power.

You took Neutron Bomb and Irradiate.. Why?
A: I like having powers, and seeing as how i team 99% of the time, AoE's are nice to have to help.

    Weren't you farmed?
A: Simple answer.. Technically yes. When did I get it done? Pre-IO's. How many levels? 10, from 1 to 10 so I could start Positrons TF. Since then? Only as support when I'm bored.

You're from Freedom, How can I/we trust you?
A: It's all up to you. I chose my Incarnates based on no one's opinion and farming/pl'ing has influenced my choice to run TF's as much as I can.

    What Shouldnt I get?
A: Electron Haze and Atomic Blast. Sure the Damage on the nuke is great with a chance to hold, but whats the use of a empath with no endurance? EH just takes so long for something that does KB and moderate damage.

You speak like a "Im a HeaLZor, invite me NAO!" kind of person. Why?
A: i hate being called the healer and it shows that you have little confidence in yourself. I provide heals AND Damage with some nice buffs so you may go on, buffed and healed, gathering both Influence and Prestige for us. (XP for those 49 and under)

How is PVP with this build?
A: I dont PVP. When I arena though, it's fun to have heal decay turned off. Regen Aura will make u feel like a god when your fighting 5 blasters and winning.

    Conclusion:
    -----------------------
Compared to other primaries, it feels like one of the weaker sets in terms of damage and mitigation but with Cosmic Burst and X-Ray Beam, it can be overcome with proper slotting. Take it as you may and use it with caution that everyones play style is different.

    Thanks for Reading!

    SS/elec

I read the guide in the guide section on a SuperStrength/Electric Brute and I've always wanted to try elec. I love the look and overall feel of it and Rikti are my favourite enemy. I thought though, seeing and even commenting on alot of the /Electric problems, what is a good build for me? I made one on Mids (im at lvl 26 atm) but please help if u see anything I should change. (Looking for Balance of Regen/+Hp/Defense) and This is for PvE only. No Pvp.

  5. Having a Max HP bonus in Grounded seems the most understandable. Also, get rid of COnserve power and make it a Aura Defence or a Aura self heal or something.

Hi everyone. I had someone (not saying who...) in Freedom tell me that Farming is better than Taskforces /Strikeforces. I said that You'd probably make more money and have a better time doing things if your doing something else other than the AE farms. So, I thought up a challenge for myself to prove this person wrong and anyone else who'd like to join in that'd be awesome too.

When: Starts Tomorrow (July 7th, 2009) and ends in 10 Days. (July 16th, 2009 @ 11:59pm eastern time)

Rules: Start at [u]0[u] Influence with no Recipes, Salvage or Enhancements (In trays). Marketeering is okay, but remember its a TF Vs Farm contest.

How: When we start at 0 of everything, We'll start with 4 Set TF's and 1 Random one on Hero side. They are:

    Respec 2
    Respec 3
    ITF
    LGTF
    Random

And run nothing but these (as many times as u want) in 3 Days. When your done please post it as such:

    TF Name:
TF Time (Rounded to nearest Minute)
    Merit Roll Recipe:

After the 3 Days on hero we'll do 3 Villain SF's and see how that goes. Same Idea but with these SF's:

    3rd Respec
    ITF
    LGTF
    Ice Mistral
    Random

Then we do the same type of thing, on this thread and see how much each person rolls in.

For the next 4 days you can run anything you want to up your score.

In the end, I'll calculate who had made the most money and My friend (still not naming who..) will tell me his amount he made in 'running missions over and over again' over the certain amount of time. He'll be honest dont worry.

This is something I wanted to because i wanted to try something fun. Please dont post negative posts please.

I'd like to start it at about 7pm Eastern time July 7th and Ill be on as @LegendaryMedic or my toon 'Legendary Medic' if you want to get ahold of me
  8. All these changes and no dresses for the fire imps? I want Clothes for my pets! But seriously, these changes seem good. Now the servers will be nice and empty which = Less lag! (Hopefully)
  9. I have become addicted to this game again because of that build. I'd emote kiss you but im seeing someone else... oh casssttlllee!!!
  10. however not the WORST of issues, it is cool that they brought out day jobs, accolades and 2 new powersets, but with all the problems it took alot of the enjoyment out of it.
