Mender Silos TF... Soloable?

So, my scrapper has soloed the Lazarus and Twilight Son TFs. No trouble. Minder Silos gives me some pause, though. Is it possible to solo the Jade Spider?

It is, if you bring the whole Freedom Phalanx with you. I don't know what the Jade Spider actually DOES (all I ever saw it do was walk around) but I had to step away from the computer in that fight, and a few of the Phalanx members were still alive when I came back.

Yes.

I've pulled off the TF with a tank easy enough. I mostly just had the Phalanx do all the work.

I haven't pulled off the Silos SF, though. For some reason it seems even more difficult to manage my teammates when they're Arachnos.

Very easy. My illusion/rad actually lets the allies die before i jump in and fight it solo.

Trick? Hide behind a wall and jump up and down after each of its attacks It cant attack you but you can!

I've solo'd it (on Heroic mind you) with my MA/SR scrapper and my SS/WP tank.

So, yes it's soloable. It wasn't easy though. I think I MIGHT be able to do it with a couple of my controllers, but I haven't tried yet.

I tried soloing it on a Human Only PB. Did pretty well, made it to the Spider without undue trouble, but my 'Zero Resistance to Psi Damage' made the Jade Spider unconquerable. I could get it down to 2/3 Health but eventually I'd just lose the war of attrition. Maybe I'll try it again someday using that behind-the-wall trick Noobbusterdamz suggested

I think it's easier to solo this than play with a full party.

That Jade Spider is surprisingly full of nasty surprises, and it one-shotted not only the entire Freedom Phalanx, but half our team every single time. Do note that we effortlessy took down Lord Recluse and his lieutenants. That stupid spider is overpowered.

Yes, but I did it with two nukes, a full Shivan Shard, and a bunch of large (mostly purple) inspirations. The psychic AOE is a real pain. It's radius is huge!

Only if you let it use its main attacks nonstop will you have any trouble.
In the middle of the map there are plenty of walls blocking its view of you [obviously you can clearly still see it], all you do is attack nonstop, then when you need to heal quickly you drop down behind the wall and rinse and repeat.

Its attacks cant reach you when around the corner/behind the wall when you heal

The TF is soloable, and challenging every time. It's my favorite thing to do in the game right now.

SF tip: forget your "helpers" and wait for the heroes under the shadow of the Jade Spider - it is much more helpful as an ally than Ghost Widow or Black Scorpion.

The hero version was beyond easy if you take the time to get every single ally. The villain ones quite abit harder.

It's less interesting to do, but it is possible to lure the Heroes to the Jade Spider as they spawn. I've yet to see them defeat it, and it will take them out for you one at a time. Other than pulling you barely have to do any work.

You'll have to wait for your Arachnos "help" to get lost or killed first. Otherwise they'll just screw things up.

Suprising, isn't it?

I think basically any AT can beat it so long as they get the Heroes with them.

I soloed the TF with my MA/SR scrapper and the SF with my Energy/Regen stalker. I think I might have popped a shivan or two, but that was a while back and I don't remember all the details.

I soloed it with all the AVs as EBs if that's what you're asking.

Citadel spawns as a HERO (i.e., AV class) while the rest are EBs. And, he flies. He's the most important one to bring along and keep alive.

Also, it helps if you chew down lots of Def insps and attack the Jade Spider from above, IOW, taking the alpha so all those EBs can do the damage they need to do. The flying heroes will follow you so that AoEs don't take them all out together.

That's where I get stuck. I'll save 3-5 of them, then it starts getting messy. One will aggro one spawn while I'm trying to get close enough to a different spawn to use my debuffs, and it all AmTraks after that.

I've "Soloed" it a couple times, not that it really felt like it with that many EB allies. The hardest part for me is always getting the whole stupid group of them to follow me without getting split up.

Now, the Villain Silos... that's a real challenge, even on Heroic. 13 consecutive EB ambushes, with only two EB allies... one of whom is Black Scorpion, and worse than useless, but the other being Ghost Widow makes up the balance. I considered my Brute's IO build done when I could solo it without the allies, without temporary powers or inspirations, and without dying, on the 4th difficulty setting. I've only done so once out of dozens of attempts, and it was 99% luck.

I've soloed the Strike Force (i.e. the Villan One), with my Stalker. It wernt easy, I died several times, but I did do it.

I've soloed it a few times with my DM/Reg scrapper. The Jade Spider can be a pain in the butt, but at least it's a consistent pain in the butt(for me it has been). I end up with problems with the hostages and their takers. Sometimes it's not easy aggroing only one....or two...or three at a time.

Synapse is the worst aggro-er, so save him for later. Citadel is your most powerful ally, so get him early. (Note his hit points compared to the others).

If the named villains are too close together not to aggro both at once, consider rebooting the mission for better spacing.

I did the Strike Force on Heroic on my Bots/Dark yesterday. Died on every hero group at least once, had to get a Vanguard Heavy multiple times (since I kept dying). The trick of it seems to be to allow all 3 heroes in a group to spawn, then get them to lose their target of you. Every time I died, the three heroes separated, and when I came back from the hospital I was able to take each one down separately with relative ease.
