Greetings players,

For those of you that missed trying it out the first time and those of you who wouldn't mind giving it another look... we will be re-enabling the Superscience pack on the Test Server tomorrow, Thursday, July 9th and would love your help testing it once again!

Please post your feedback and any bugs you may find in this thread.

And thanks again for the testing help!

Presumably, the height/body type menu will now correctly remember your body sliders instead of resetting them all to default. That's the nasty bug that got the pack delayed in the first place.

Things that need testing:


- Do gender specific badges behave in a consistent or specific manner?

Example: Weatherman, Newsgirl, Man in Black, Watchwoman, etc...


- Does the AE interface and replacement strings behave in a consistent or specific manner?

Example: When clicking on the AE screen, does it identify your gender properly? Does $hisher, $heshe work properly?


- Does the AE interface behave in a consistent or specific manner regarding alignment?

During the i15 beta test, heroic players were getting flagged as 'Villainous' and vice-versa.


- Does the Supertailor cause players to assume the 'body type' model?

During the i15 beta test, accessing the Supertailor often caused players to assume the glowing model texture that's displayed on the 'select body type' screen while changing their costumes. This was visible to other players.

Also, gotta look for situations where body parts that don't convert from model to model (like I saw a screen where a femal toon had a Huge body type chest)

We need an option like this without a glitch. I SO want a glowy energy body for one of my toons. That or at least the option for making a pattern/color glow where it's used on costumes.

Anywho, I'll hopefully catch it this time as I want to try it out and see how it all works, and hopefully help work out any remaining kinks so we can get it to live as soon as possible. I've got a size-changing scrapper that could use his signature power.

For this, i'll patch test immediately. Then, maybe i can fix Nurse Teri back to all woman. (Or at least get rid of the HUGE body.)

So, testing badges, sliders, and AE? Is there anything else?

I'd also like to know what time this will be. I logged in last time it was activated and got to play with the costume pieces in the creator for a second but had to go to work so I couldn't mess with anything else, then when I got home it was gone. If it's going to go that quick today then it would help to know what time I need to hang up my hat on live and head to test.

Agreed, I was thinking the same thing the last time I looked at the AE holograms. It would be sweet to make a character that looked like that.

Ok,

The following works correctly:

Badge's change correctly when switching between male and female. They no longer get stuck, so no more males with female badge titles or vice versa.

The correct badges display based based on gender.

Sliders now preserve the genders body scale and changes made from your previous save. The gender changes do not preserve info from the other gender. I assume this is intended since not all genders have access to the same costume parts under the same names.

The AE now works and correctly identifies you as a female/male based on the gender tag.

The tailor does not show, locally or to others, as the "body type" model. It's been fixed!

What's not working is that the tailor is bugged that it doesn't show the character animating. So you can change the costume, but the body is frozen. No breathing, no aura animating, and no weapon drawing.

Also, capes/wings are static and wings are very jittery. All of this and the above quote happens in both the costume creator and the character log-in window.

I never did see the height slider/gender changing window (even after transferring over a fresh character), however, the Mad Scientist costume options were available, including the two-tone coat.

Apparently the non-animation is on all non-action screens. Character creator, tailor, character select screen. None of my alts are animating outside of actually playing the character.

From what I can tell, very much ready to go live with this patch.

Only "bug" I could find is that the costume change emotes don't properly finish if you change just scale, but not body. Not game breaking, but an annoying thing to fix eventually.

Ex: I change Gitanica from 8'2" to 3'8", modifying all my sliders. When I do Evil Laugh or Salute, the animations are 'cut off' in the new size. So I'll be mid-animation with arms up and suddenly in normal repose stand in the new size-costume.


Still here, even after all this time!

I think the scale animation thing is because of how the sizes see animations.

Like, the smaller you get, the faster the animations run. Like when you use the dance emotes when tiny... you dance unbelievably fast

Dunno if that's something they will change though.
