This isn't solely the fault of farms.
A lot of those questions you're going to hear from newbies of WHATEVER level.
Instead of being a complete tard about it, I try to at least take a little time to explain stuff and at least point them at the Paragonwiki.
And if these people have been playing for the last two months solely in AE and now want to experience the rest of the game? GOOD! I can put up with a few "dumb" questions.

Sure, maybe not THAT bad. But these people have been playing in a team environment from Day 1, so their bad choices have been mitigated by the overwhelming firepower of a group.
If you spent all your time buffed to high-heaven and were tearing through L50's left and right...WITHOUT a lot of your mitigation powers...
MA doesn't make newbies dumb. It just makes it easier for them to survive their dumb phase.

You know, it's weird. I'm only a six month vet and originally found the anti-farmer arguments to be convincing.
However, recent events and threads like this one have put me firmly in the camp of the farmers.
I just fail to see the harm in what they do (barring exploits like the Rikti comm officers, which I believe should've been fixed without any retroactive punishment, now).
More than anything else, the vehemence and vitriol displayed by certain "anti-farmers" have changed my mind.
I play my game for the fun I have in it. I've no problem teaming with either my SG mates or a PuG. Thanks to the MA Arc feedback in this forum and the MA tags, I've no problem finding MA arcs I want to play.
Now if a six-month old can do this, then surely more senior vets can do this, as well.

Yes, I said it. The problem is that the forumites can not tell the difference between Farming, Power Leveling, and Exploiting and just group it all under one heading.
I have run some farm missions that are a lot of fun. The ticket cap prevented me from getting too many tickets out if it so I could enjoy the massive amount of mobs without feeling guilty.

I think most farmers are against the exploits. I also think most players are farmers tho most are ignorant to that fact. Some of those anti-farm town criers are in fact just being hypocritical.. they hate all farmer because they cna't find anyone to help them farm the sewers, or run all around Cap with them to farm the gremlin and/or cold demon badges.
I often find the logic in thier arguement somewhat flawed.
"We should punish the farmers.. ban them the game will be better for it"
"Everyone is farming so I can't find a team"
hmmmmm. So all the farmers that they hate and wouldn't team with anyways will make better teammates when they can no longer play.. no wait.. I think I'm close.. can another anti-farmer step up and clear this up for me?

OP. Please explain what you consider to be a farm. Is it an outdoor map with a bunch of critters? If that's the case you have a lot of reporting to do.

There is a farm I pass on the way home from work that has the world's best sweet corn every August. I don't what they use to grow it, or what variety of corn it is, but I could eat a dozen ears at one sitting. And still have room for their corn.

I almost felt like reporting two farm arcs several days ago. One of them said not to rate the arc, but I did so anyways with 1 star because it made me feel like a big man.
