I disagree we need another thread about it.

Farming is so last month... This month it's all about AE Ranching. Raising herds of critters for the abattoir... er, I mean AE building.
This 12-story block combining classical neo-Georgian features with the efficiency of modern techniques. The critters arrive here and are carried along the corridor on a conveyor belt in extreme comfort, past murals depicting Cimorian scenes, towards the rotating knives. The last twenty feet of the corridor are heavily soundproofed. The blood pours down these chutes and the mangled flesh slurps into these...

Um yes... Rotating knives, yes.

...Does that not fit in with your plans?

Oh. I hadn't fully divined your attitude towards the AE critters.
You see I mainly design slaughter houses.

Mind you, this is a real beaut. None of your blood caked on the walls and flesh flying out of the windows incommoding the passers-by with this one. My life has been leading up to this.

May I ask you to reconsider?

You wouldn't regret this. Think of the tourist trade.

...I see. Well, of course, this is just the sort of blinkered philistine pig-ignorance I've come to expect from you non-creative garbage. You sit there on your loathsome spotty behinds squeezing blackheads, not caring a tinker's cuss for the struggling artist. You excrement, you whining hypocritical toadies with your colour TV sets and your Tony Jacklin golf clubs and your bleeding Midnight Squad secret handshakes. You wouldn't let me join, would you, you blackballing forumites. Well I wouldn't become a Midnighter now if you went down on your lousy stinking knees and begged me.

It's the only way to get rid of them. I urge all legitmate players of the game to report AE farms when they see them. Something must be done and it's up to us as players to help the devs get rid of this blight on our game.

[/ QUOTE ]

No?

Edit: Let me clarify that no .... I will never use the complaint button against a farm because it will get the slot banned. I will, however, use the bug report button under the options tab whenever I see something that is a bit skewed, and let the dev's sort out what needs to be fixed.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wait so you're actually going to not report farms because you don't agree with the devs actions? Sorry but you're wrong. The devs are banning publisher slots of farmers for a damn good reason.

And you know what, theres a difference between in game farms and AE farms. Mainly that the in game stuff you're still learning the various parts of the game. AE farms you're experiencing a tiny part of the game which is leaving new players with little to no knowledge of the game. They're creating an entire group of 50's with no idea how to play.Thats not me saying no idea how to play my way, jsut flat out not know how to play. You can't dispute that because you know it's true.

You can ignore this problem all you like. I'm not saying its hard to get teams outside Atlas or anything, i'm saying that people shouldn't have to leave Atlas to avoid the farmer broadcasts. At the very least the AE needs to be instanced to remove it from zone broadcast.

Something has to be done about this.

I'm only a six month vet and originally found the anti-farmer arguments to be convincing.

However, recent events and threads like this one have put me firmly in the camp of the farmers.

I just fail to see the harm in what they do (barring exploits like the Rikti comm officers, which I believe should've been fixed without any retroactive punishment, now).

More than anything else, the vehemence and vitriol displayed by certain "anti-farmers" have changed my mind.

You clearly haven't been around long enough to understand how serious this issue is.

The anti-farmers are right, we all should play the game within their definition of what is and is not acceptable, even the majority of us who don't farm anything.

This is serious business, you'd do well getting with the [anti-farming] program.

I'd rather discuss the morality of posting for posting's sake than discuss the morality of playing for playing's sake.

so make your own teams. team with the people on your global or in your sg or in your coalition. stop sitting around waiting to get invited to groups. it is not the farmers that is killing your play time, it is you yourself. stop whinning and get with the program. if many people have stated that they are having no trouble getting teams outside of AE then why can't you? stop causing drama and go form up a team of your own. kthxbai.

Oh for crying out loud im reporting this thread myself. It's obvious you people don't give a damn about what happens to the game and are quit happy to let it get ruined by famers destroying the AE with the farm stigma.

I don't understand how so many supposedly reasonable people can jsut be ok with this. It jsut goes to show the mentality of the forum users. You don't like to complain about anything. Anyone who doesn't believe the way you do is wrong. Anyone who has a problem with an aspect of the game is wrong. Oh unless it's something pre-aproved by the forum dev defence force.
