Quote:You have to take all of Cold's primary, save FW, if you want it to be useful, and the slotting is more of a pain on a Cold than it is on a FF.One overlooked advantage of FF in this topic: minimal slotting and power picks required to bring everything most teams want you to bring. Even if you take many of the other powers, they still require very minimal slotting, which saves tons of slots for your attacks/controls/pets/whatevers. Build flexibility is always a huge advantage. Of course, that can also be bad for the set, because it can be seen as a set of many "skippable" powers.

Quote:That's some interesting information to have, and now I know why their names at like that. Thanks.I recall that when Japanese surnames first came into usage for commoners (whenever that was), some rules were laid down and a short list was offered for people to choose from. As I remember it, the rule was something like a generic location (mountain, field, river) combined with a qualifier like a specific plant, a location, etc. And that's where the most common Japanese names come from and why they have meanings like "village + center" (Nakamura - probably where they lived) or Fujimoto (Mt. Fuji's base) or Katsumoto (pine tree base).

Quote:This is my best attempt at making it a single word, but it could be all wrong:
I don't suppose there's a single word for this, or something which would roughly translate to something like this?
Kazechi or kazeketsu.
I will repeat that it could be all wrong. -
I hope I wasn't being anal about it. You had the word, but with different vowels.
Quote:So, when I came up with the surname 'ishimukou' for a character in another... um... amusement or pastime... how badly did I do? -
-
Quote:Eh, not really if you're trying to think up of a Japanese name. Direct translations of names would be odd. For example, Hamada is nothing more than a last name. However, if you were to translate it through its kanji, 浜田, it would be beachy rice field.
does "Kazeguro" end up meaning?
Quote:how can I formulate a name which comes off meaning "blood wind,"
For the blood wind, I'm not sure how you could make it into an actual Japanese name, but the word for it would be "chi no kaze", or 「血の風」, if you're interested in the kana. The meaning of that would be "the blood's wind", or blood wind. -
Bots/TA. Late blooming primary combined with a late blooming secondary.
I have yet to see another 50 Bots/TA on Protector, besides mine. So I guess it makes the combination rare. -
Quote:This, and...
Damage is boosted to 1.125 (Why they're 1.000 is beyond me, high damage? Not really... They lack the AoE to be high damage.) Build up raised to +100% damage over +80%
How about giving all stalker attacks a 10-20% to placate? Longer animating attacks would receive a higher percentage. Is this too broken? Alright? Weak? -
I like being the toughest AT in the game.
-
As for right now, KM looks unplayable to me because if any of the powers in the set has knockback, I won't play it. Plus, the animations look long.

Quote:Or would help me and along with other players to get rid of the annoyance.
Your suggested changes would remove the visceral feel of those powers, and not help the sets, either. You can pry the KB in those powers from my cold, dead hands. -
Quote:I agree. The knockback in most of Energy Blast's attacks, Shockwave, Gale, Crane Kick, etc. should all be changed to knockdown.
KB in City of Heroes is overused. -
I like how a thread that as supposed to be a comedic one, gets turned into an argument because JB decided to ***** and moan.
-
I don't know if this has been asked before, but I'm going to ask anyways.
How come people didn't want the MF buff? -
Quote:That's what she said.
You know your deck is good when people moan every time you bust it out.
Quote:I was the one getting flamed and trolled
Quote:they continue the hostility to myself and others.
Quote:I got flamed
Quote:proposing buffs to Invulnerability. -
Quote:Really now?..EM is fine..only those with weak toons moan about it..it does the job thee end..
Quote:Tho TA does need a buffing. As a TA'er both corr and once defender..it doesnt perform as well as it can do compare to others -
Quote:So it was done at +0/+1, just SOs and no Hasten?
I linked the post where the math was done, and it did not take into account any resistances.
Quote:Stun is the guaranteed attack, and the majority of the others stun more often than they don't. Stun->TF->Bone Smasher->ET should have anything stunned much more often than it doesn't. No other attack set can boast that kind of reliable control. -
Quote:It may have something to do with the fact that energy is one the least resisted damage types.Actually, it's proven to have higher single target damage than any other set, with the exception of fire melee for brutes.
Quote:Just because you don't understand how to stack stuns doesn't mean it doesn't have mitigation capabilities.
Pretty much, AoE mitigation will always beat single target. -
EM is not fine as it is. What EM can do, other sets can do it way better, and without damaging the caster.
Quote:That's great comedy.great ST damage
Quote:mitigation capabilities. -
Quote:My 2nd tier pets only have one SO end redux, and the Ember Demon's endurance problem is fine. Even when moving from spawn to spawn, his endurance doesn't go down to half. The only time where his endurance is dropping is when I'm fighting enemies that can drain endurance.I have two Endurance Reducer SOs currently slotted into my 2nd tier demons, and my Ember Demon still bottoms out of end with every battle. This can't be right. My Hellfire Gargoyle does fine with Endurance, just the Ember that burns through his.
Anyone else notice this?
I think you must be doing something wrong. -
