Issue 15 need new powersets

I think they should ad new powersets for CoX for I-15 this year please make list of powerset you like in I-15.


Nacht Nova Thunder = Level 50 (Liberty) Dark Blaster/Storm Summoning - Defender
Nova Ninja = Level 50 (Liberty) spines/ Regeneration - Scrapper
CanadianMan = Level 50 (Liberty) Super Strength/Invulnerability - Tanker
LibertyBoy = Level 35 (Liberty) Stone Armor
/Fiery Melee - Tanker

Aside from that, Issue 15 will be going into Beta sometime within the next few weeks. If they haven't already announced new powersets, there is no way they will be able to get them in before then.

Proliferation is a possibility, but a very slight one. (very slight, I would expect that they would announce Proliferation, too)


New story arcs coming soon (ARC IDs will be aded when I finish the arc):
So, you want to join the Hellions? (level 1-14 Villainous arc)
Sparks & Steel (level 5-20 Heroic arc)
and
So you want to join the Skulls? (level 1-14 Villainous arc)

I'm surprised they don't lazy out and do something like 'dual mace.'

Just lethal > smashing, use same animation but with batons, and there you go!



(Actually, come to think of it... that WOULD be kinda neat...)

Bah, I'm content with what we're getting. Besides, it's not happening even if you did want it to. Wait till i16 when we get Demon Summoning and Dual Pistols.

(Because Halo just isn't enough you have to have it in your MMOs, too)

you may be partially (if not fully) right since the announcement said "Maelstrom, a pistol-wielding hero gone rogue" but it didnt say dual wield or "pistols" indicating plural. but I suspect that it is talking about dual wield. we may not actually get the new power set in that expansion since they are powers a signature NPC has but its also a strong possibility that they will offer a new arc to complete that unlocks these two long saught after sets since the devs have talked about unlocking new sets in a similar fashion in the past.

No one knows if Rogue Expansion will be "Issue 16". It's separate from "Issues" from what we've heard.

Since I16 will be a paid one, atleast thats what I heard, there better be some new powersets! xD But, I can't wait for I16, that is going to be sick.

Someone in another thread noticed that Maelstrom has dual holsters in the trailer, though he only draws one pistol.

If we were going to do some sort of dual smashing weapon powerset, I'd definitely go with more Escrima flavored animations.

Escrima's lame. What can you do with a pair of sticks that you can't do with a pair of unbreakable blades like we get in CoH?

Traditional eskrima is suppose to be trained as if they are bladed weapons. Some of the newer systems train them more fancy or simply dont consider their origin, which is blade.

But the only difference they are suppose to have is how you approach the weapon when it comes in contact with other objects specially your own body parts and specially when it comes down to the grappling/locking aspect.

But unless they decide to add grappling and locking into the game then there really isn't much else you can do with sticks that you shouldn't be able to do with blades.

I don't think it would be lame. It would be a good option for dual blades I think, specially since dual blades now act more like blunt weapons anyways with no bleeding or additonal damage over time. Then again that goes for all bladed weapons in CoX. Everyone seems to not bleedout. hehehehehehe

speaking as someone who has taught alot of Kali/arnis/escrima for over a decade there are lots you can do with sticks that you can't with blades. Tho I often wish DB used animations based on FMA

Time Control.

I've been trying to push a Time Control powerset for a long time. I agree some what with doing non-weapon based power sets perhaps after Going Rogue comes out. Even if I'd like to see a Two-handed "Staff" based weapon set at some point. (Quarter staffs, Long Spears, etc..)

There's no way they'd have the courage to put something like that in, because it means that not only do they have to balance the powerset against its "peers", but also go through all other powersets to make sure the effects don't cause major balancing issues.

That, or it'd just be a bit of a cross between Gravity Control and Kinetics. Speed up, slow down, out of phase...
