IF Option 1 means better and improved appearances on older costume peices. I'm all for it. +1 for Option 1

Been gone a while. Went to Wal-Mart and bought Going Rogue Complete Collection. And checking the Map, I noticed something wierd:
Baumtown (I assume this is a misspelling for "Boom Town"?)
Overbrook?
Venice?
Woodvale?
Are those new areas being added to CoH? Or are they just misprints?
Sorry for the confusing questions.. And I hate to sound like a new player after 3 years, but that is kind of a confusing little map in the Going Rogue Complete Collection Box. -
Quote:Not much has changed really. At least not since issue 13. Though you can now make your heals Pink and Purple. With Green Attack..right.. you don't attack do you?So I took a well deserved break from the game . It's time for me to refresh my memory and get back in the swing of things.
The really question is after almost a year gone " what's new with pvp"? -
Quote:I'm PAINFULLY well aware that NONE of the actual pet costumes can be colored, changed, or modified in any way except for Necromancy summoning and other power animations. I was hoping this super booster WOULD have changed that. And I was, and am STILL Disappointed, but not surprised, that MM's couldn't do this with their pets. You can't dress up ANY MM pets to date. It's something they'd like to add, but it's going to take a lot of effort and is unlikely to happen until sometime after Going Rogue is released (if it ever becomes possible at all).
Quote:As to being unslottable, it's effectively a temporary power just like the powers from the Cyborg and Magic Boosters, all of which are unslottable. And as to being unusable at the same time as Super Speed or Super Jump, it would make those powers overpowered, in the sense that no one would ever need to slot enhancements in them for anything other than endurance reduction. It is currently balanced exactly how the developers want it.
Quote:On the other hand, Ninja Run does stack with Sprint, Swift, Hurdle, any number of defense powers that give you a run speed increase, and all other run speed and jump increasing powers and buffs. It's pretty darn fast for a character with Super Reflexes, and is in fact easily boosted over the flight speed cap as many others have said in this thread previously. -
>.> And here I thought it was because of Hurdle and Set bonuses... UHG.. Starting to wonder if I wasted my 9.99 on this one.. Bleh..
-
I was very disappointed by this set. Some of the costume pieces are ok. How ever the Ninja Run can't even be slotted? Can't be used with SS, or SJ? Also why not be able to dress up the Ninja MM pets with the new costume peices? That doesn't feel very game breaking.

Heh, I think I still have my 50 Peacebringer on Virtue.. for as long as I keep my account active.. :-P

Ah if only I had more money to pay for maybe one more month.. Ah well, I'll apply for when I'm around.. Though at the moment I had to shut my account off.. But I do have a character on a friend's account. Below are the characters on my account when it's turned on..

The new Issue 16 looks intersting. Had to come back for it at least. Still can't wait for Going Rogue. Looking foward to that one.

We're sitting in a meeting and our Development Director said "We've contracted some Type R programmers".
I had never heard this term before, so I jotted it down on my notepad, so I could inquire about it later.
Just then our Lead Engineer asks "What is Type R?"
Our Dev Director looked stumped. "What do you mean?"
"You said 'Type R Programmers'" said the Lead Engineer.
"No, I said 'High Powered'." said the Dev Director.
"No you didn't. You said 'Type R.' See I wrote it down." I said, and showed him my notepad that said "Type R?".
So now, everything high powered and awesome in the office is "Type R".
I am now on a crusade to get it used outside our offices. I should add it to urban dictionary or something.
[/ QUOTE ]
If a Wrestler in the WWE can be known as "The Rated R Superstar" I don't see a problem with high powered programers being now known as the "Type R Programer" leaving people to use any term they want for "R".. such as revolutionary... renown...
Or when he does something wrong... retarded... revolting... and of course.. removed -
:-\ Meh, already have both boosters so far.. and the game.
So, no point for me to get it. -

Maybe im missing something here.. what makes mind/psi dom so good against a MM?[ QUOTE ]
Confuse, Drain Psyche, PSW.
[/ QUOTE ]
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm... I don't know if Confuse would be a very powerful weapon against Ninjas. The Genin get (While looking in RV mind you and the info is probobly wrong) +2.0 Confuse Protection and -33.33% Confuse Duration. And the Jounin/Oni gets +4.0 Confuse Protection as well as the -33.33% Confuse duration. Then if he has tactics running it will add even more confuse duration reduction for the pets close to him, labeled as -45.75% confuse duration. So confuse doesn't seem very viable..
I agree Drain psyche could be a pain.. But the damage from PSW would be reduced with Dark's shield running. Not reducing it by much.. but it could make the fight that much more interesting..
I'd almost wonder if maybe a Fire/Psi wouldn't be more threatening with Bonfire and PSW. Not to mention the Imps giving more targets for the pets to have to be cycled through. And Bonfire can knockback the pets (last I checked). Or even a Fire/Storm Troller would be annoying, if nothing else. Or any other /storm probobly. -
I agree some what with doing non-weapon based power sets perhaps after Going Rogue comes out. Even if I'd like to see a Two-handed "Staff" based weapon set at some point. (Quarter staffs, Long Spears, etc..)

They also still have 12 openings.

/shameless plug for openings at Paragon Studios
...as an fyi, we have hired qualified applicants from our player-base for open positions...
<edited to reflect "open positions">
[/ QUOTE ]
I remember actually seeing a position once I could have qualified for.. but moving from Florida to NorCal, even if I could have been guarenteed the position I had seen at that time, was not an affordible venture for me.. Sadly enough.Maybe it's for the best. Maybe..

I am hoping the new zone will also be a zone players can start their characters in. I'd love to be able to start a newly created Mastermind in Praetoria, but I doubt it'll be like that.
I also hope there will be a couple NEW PvP zones in this latest expansion.
I also hope there are more trailers like the one for this expansion. It's a VERY good one. -

This was the image that I saw in my email. Don't know if it will work or not. -
Same here! I Want to know more about this... Because this right here might be the one thing I have been waiting for since I first started playing CoH/CoV!
-
Hmm... Which Empath? Defender, or Troller?
Which Secondary if A Defender?
Which Primary if Controller? -
At this point, I'll take anything new.. Even if it makes MM's seem similar to some other games' classes.

10. Currently, Freedom is my home server because it's the most active in RV that I've found, not to mention it's where the Test Arena PVP Teams seemed to have been locally server wise when I first started to do Test Arena PVP.
I enjoy Masterminds in the Zone, but I have no true preference yet as to which character is my absolute favorite in other situations.
As far as question 8, I haven't had any interaction on Freedom concerning the PVPEC, so I am not able to answer how I feel they have been on Freedom, or any other server currently. I also have not been as active in CoH as I was pre-i13. -
