Any good non-farm story arcs?
I actually just finished mine today. It's a Rikti/Circle of Thorns arc with Villainous morality. The ID is #74617 if you want to give it a try. Story driven, 4 missions long, with a few custom allies and a custom AV boss (with optional ally).
If you do give it a try, please rate fairly and leave a comment with one of your own arcs that I can try. I prefer something with story. No farms, please.
I would like to shamelessly plug my arc, listed in my sig. It's based off of in-game canon, and almost nothing else. Purely story-driven. There are 3 EB/ AVs at the end of the last three missions, so fair warning.
Do people here have no reading comprehension skills, or what? The dude said DO NOT NOMINATE YOUR OWN ARCS!:

I would like to hear about good arcs that you have played and rated well that are NOT YOURS. I know everyone is sure their arc is the Next Great American Novel, but I'd like to hear from an unbiased third party, please!

Sheez, you would think a bunch of people that love to write could, you know, read better.
I really enjoyed the Girl Scout Cookie arc by @twiig, forget the arc number. Fun and well balanced.

Yeah, twiig's stuff rocks.

Turg Fiction: Ghost in the Machine Acts III & IV coming 2012!
Turg Fiction: IX is now LIVE on Architect Entertainment!
I'd like to recommend "The Footsteps Initiative" (meta-humor, not serious, but also not a farm and VERY funny), "Villainous Values" (already posted), "Hearts on Fire", the "Wholesale Soul Sale" by @Wonderslug, and anything by @Twoflower.
My characters at Virtueverse
Faces of the City
I hope mine is good
72771 - Darkness Falls on Paragon
It is my attempt at horror - as much as can be done with supers. Skulls start practicing voodoo and raising zombies. All custom Skulls, so it can be played at any level.

Honest truth, I skipped this in my original read of the OP. I'd posted a pitch for my own arc, then after it posted, re-read the OP, saw the "NOT YOURS" caveat, went "OH POOP" and redacted the whole post.
...but I DO think twiig's stuff is great!

I thought the OP said NOT to pimp your own arcs.
I have one up now and plan on making 2 more arc series the one I have up now is
FHB Issue #1 : Historical Distruption
Arc ID # 74559
It is the first of 3 episodic or issue based arcs this one is a neutral themed I am working on the hero themed one then the villian themed one all based off my own characters.
All my arcs will be designed for level 1-54 but untested on higher level chars so feedback will be very helpful.
Sorry missed the don't nominate your own line. But a problem I see is with so many MA's out and imho a weak search system (can't exclude words or things like that) real story arcs being made these days will end up being missed among all the Farms and ones that you can't understand.

I'll nominate this guy's arcs then, because why the hell not. This is what I get for skimming the threads - a foot in the [censored] for my troubles
18121--The Society for Truth. It's got evil Germans. Everyone likes fighting evil Germans.
26515--The Lost Tomb of Fausto Zanetti. Battle the undead and their necromancer overlord.
Just be sure to ignore my sig below.

There's a lot of arcs in the MA that aren't farms, though...
[/ QUOTE ]
but not many GOOD ones. At least not in comparison to the amount of really, really bad ones out there.
That said, thank you so much for the suggestions everyone. I plan to check out many of these arcs over the next several days. Keep the suggestions coming!

I did, with the full knowledge that it was inevitable that some would. You can't possibly ask for arc suggestions and not have several arc creators pop up to pimp their arcs, even if you ask that they don't. As a result, I'm giving more credence to arcs that are not the posters' own.
Check out the site in my signature. It offers a good alternative to the in-game search. lots of good arcs there.
I'd recommend all 3 of Muu's arcs ( 2291, 6832, 6845 ), and # 2150 Win the 2009 Freak-alympics. All are very funny, except for # 6832 Uncreation which is creepy.
Arc #40529 : The Furies of the Earth
"Save the Spiderlings" -
Pro: I giggled. I chuckled. I laughed. I groaned. Loved the souvenir!
Con: Watch out for Mu endurance drain.
"City of Oz" Parts 1, 2, and 3.
Pro: Insanely creative, story-driven fun!
Con: Depending on your AT custon EBs can be challenging. Doable solo but probably more fun with a friend.
"One Clown Short of a Circus" by Trickshooter.
Pro: Wow. Just wow! Absolutely brilliant. Fun and challenging without being frustrating.
Con: EB in final mission is a Thugs/Pain MM. My 50 fire/regen scrapper needed to use a Shivan while playing on Difficulty 4.
Creepy - Claws/WP Clown - 50 - August 10, 2008
Juniper's Daughter - Fire/Regen Scrapper - 50 - April 12, 2009
Fae Leigh - Grav/Kin Troller - 50 - May 30, 2010
I do the 19-24 range usually since all my characters are in that range. (I don't even know what EB's and AV's are). So anyone below 19 or the minimum is brought up to 19 so it's not so bad for new players as I design them using very low level characters 1-7)
9379 An old seadog's last request (1 mission)
74219 City of the Damned. (help Texas rangers from 1860's fight evil in 1927 Austin) 1 mission
66653 The unwanteds 2 short missions. ( Help a spider queen rid the sewers )
of 'unwanteds"
Some are city scapes and aren't simple but there are no "defeat alls" or impossible bosses (or I couldn't do them).
I work hard on my stories but for the most part they go unnoticed since I don't set up farms and I rate lots of missions (especially new ones).

An EB is an Elite Boss, which is tougher than a standard boss. Some characters can solo them, some cannot (depending on level and powers available).
An AV is an Arch Villain, which is intended for teams to battle; usually cannot be soloed.
When playing on Heroic solo or with a small group, AVs scale down to EBs and EBs scale down to Lieutenants (why they don't scale to normal Boss instead is a mystery).
I would like for some folks to try my missions and give some feedback.
My intent was to make story arcs that are fun, complicated but not overly difficult with a story connected that you actually want to follow.
"Save Scampers" - neutral morality, Dr. Shivagogh has lost his favorite lab animal and needs your help to retrieve it. "Scampers" is a very special rat, able to communicate telepathically and control the minds of others.
Features: 4 missions, 2 "home made" groups, end boss is an EB.
"Obscene Clone Fall," neutral morality, William Mann's daughter has been kidnapped. He needs your help to track down his missing daughter. The only clues are a group of prank phone calls made to her fiance, a bigwig with Longbow, Commander McKraken.
Features: 3 missions, 2 unique mob groups (including a group of cloned rock stars) - and this is part one of a "two parter" which I shall publish soon.
Hey, if you try them, thanks very much. I'd be glad to hear from you.

In my experience, an EB on Heroic solo scales to a normal Boss.
Whether they're supposed to (instead of scaling to Lt) I have no idea.
Current main:
Schrodinger's Gun, Dual Pistols/Mental Blaster, Virtue

I think only custom EB's scale to Bosses. Normal EB's (Like say a Minotaur) remain as EB's.

Yeah, you had us at "Any... arcs?"
I don't know about the rest of you but that's all I read.
@Mindshadow
Try my "B for Bandana"! It is a medium-sized tribute to the movie V for Vendetta with tons of well-written copy and an epic ending mission.
