Heh, I'd noticed a bit of an uptick in plays for "One Million Eyes" lately and wondered where they were coming from. Vermain and Megajoule, thanks for the kind words.

If I have only one complaint, it's that the humor and the tragedy are sometimes too much all at once to the point where I'm not sure which I should care about the most. You'll see what I mean on the AV fight in the final mission.

That's a fair point. I think, for me, it's a bit of a defense mechanism. I'm always kind of leery of veering a bit too far into melodrama, so I feel that when things get really dark and serious they need to be offset with a bit of humor. I think the key, with the final AV mission, is to keep in mind that the Users are overenthusiastic kids, with all the awkwardness of teenagerhood -- goofy, wide-eyed, taking most of their cues of how superheroes "should" act from reruns of the 1970's Freedom Phalanx cartoon -- yet their hearts are absolutely in the right place. They're a bit of comic relief to both leaven the dark mood and provide closure to the underlying, more serious theme of the arc.
That said, I do kind of regret that one or two of the bios are a bit mean-spirited in their humor (now that I think of it), and one of the characters is a little too "meta". But the latter still makes me laugh so I can't let it go.
I also wonder now whether the hostage dialog should be a little more serious; but part of what I was trying to convey was that the kids, innocent (and addled by fandom) as they are, don't quite grasp the danger they're in. It's something I'll think about, but like I say, my aversion to over-seriousness is kind of a block.
...'Course, with my other arc I went the other way, and what was initially a humorous, dumb parody of Jonny Quest turned into something a little more pathos-laden. I never said I was consistent!
I'd recommend Arc ID# 98943 "Invasion on Earth BX1132!"
It is about alien invasion and is very MST3Kish. Lots of fun!

I was going to suggest minimalist's "One Million Eyes" and anything by Muu, but apparently those have already been brought up.
So how about @6x's LOST DOG, then. It is very silly, but it made me laugh and I've played through it probably 4 or 5 times now. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but I love it.
Of course, if anyone wants to play the one in my sig, it also fits the criteria. I just wouldn't want to be accused of pimping my own arc is all.
Name of the Arc: Attack of the Monsters of Legend
Arc #: 82060
Morality: Neutral
Brief Synopsis: Abraham Van Helsing, legendary arch-nemesis of Count Dracula, has been kept alive all these years by gypsy magics, and he's recruited you to help save the world from the reunion of a deadly triumvirate; Count Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, and the Wolfman. Dracula and Victor Frankenstein have combined their resources to raise Victor's monster and put together a plot to rid the world of costumed heroes and villains once and for all. But is there more to this than it seems? And was there really a fourth member at the meeting between the Count, Dr. Frankenstein, and the wolfman, as Larry Talbot, his memories seen through the shrouded mystery of his alter ego, hazily recalls?
This isn't a farm. Don't play if you're looking for a farm. If you want a well-written, interesting story with plenty of custom enemies and and one very useful (if non-combative) ally... this just might be the arc for you.

Hmmm. Let's see.
Arcs that people have already mentioned here or elsewhere:
* PW's Teen Phalanx Forever! (67335) was insanely well-written and I couldn't stop giggling.
* All of Fearghas' stuff, particularly Mind of a Villain (now rehosted at 125605!), is quality. That arc in particular finally solves the "why am I working for someone else" problem for villains, and gives you some great scenery-chewing.
* Ghost Generator, number I forget. Creepy and unique.
Also, I don't think I saw any hits for @Whorfin's Gold on the Red Line. It's low-level, but it's funny and well worth a look.
If people are looking for something a bit "different", these are a couple of arcs I enjoyed recently, as they were a bit of a departure from the norm:
"A European Vacation: The Faceless Threat" by @Kelp Plankton (ID 78549)
and
"Blight" by @Witch Engine (ID 140423)
Each of those arcs has one mission that pushes the MA pretty far (and from what they've told me, is a pain-and-a-half to do). "European Vacation" uses it to launch the arc in an amusing fashion, and "Blight" uses it to great effect, in a pretty unsettling manner.
I also like the custom villain group in "European Vacation", it gives me a chuckle.

I recommend Plastic Pistol Peril by @Palette. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the ID number right now.

#1135 and, as of now, what I think epitomises what can be done with MA.
Another suggestion is The Perfect Brew (#2007). While a little racy has a whole bunch of hidden legend in it, especially in the descriptions.
Sure, freakishly stylized cartoon child! Never give up!

Been leveling a brute redside, and found some outstanding story arcs with a 'villainous' tag. Had to be quite picky about easy-to-fight enemies as well because a brute that hadn't reached stamina, and with only DO slotted defence tended to end up with a green and blue bar race to see which one shrank first.
Arc ID:111022
Name: Doctor Geist and the Scientific Method
Author:@Scuzzbopper
Morality: Villainous
Synopsis: Description: Help Wanted: Research Assistant. Apply to Doctor Geist, Fort Cerberus , Mercy Island. Opportunities for advancement! Excitement guaranteed! Reasonable pay. Must love SCIENCE!
What I liked:
Great writing. Use of canon characters. The whole humorous 'mad scientist' vibe and how the contact used 'the scientific method' to dictate what missions to do.
Arc ID:43104
Name: Dirk's Ravens
Author:@wf
Morality: Villainous
Synopsis: In the aftermath of the Rikti War, a rogue U.S. general, betrayed and abandoned by his country, is raising a private army to take revenge against the government he once served.
What I liked:
Great writing. The shades of grey morality... I am a villain 'rescuing' someone for the contact, but was it really good for that someone ultimately? The moral choice at the final mission - sort of between lawful evil and chaotic evil - do you hold to your word/contract and pull someone out of a sticky situation, or abandon them and save thy own skin...
One thing that was slightly off-putting was Dirk's Ravens themselves, sort of like versions of Charlie's Angels with different colors as prefixes. Seemed slightly cheesy, as I don't actually like Charlie's Angels, but it is just a subjective reaction. (I like mad scientists fine, you may like Charlies Angels, etc.) It wasn't obvious character or SG insertion or anything, you as the villain are still the main mover of the arc.
Arc ID:128109
Name: All in the Family
Author:@Zereck Goldmoon
Morality: Villainous
Synopsis:A Family capo has gotten a task from his bosses that could very well push him to consigliere. He has asked for you because of your reliability and loose morals, and he wishes for a number of unlucky witnesses to be put in the morgue. However, this isn't any old hit, and the capo may be well regretting ever entering into the mob...
What I liked:
Great writing. Moral choice at end of arc - mercy or true villainy.
Miss Westin Phipps? Well, this arc comes pretty close. And more importantly, you can choose whether to take that final depraved step...
(I was playing a robot following the function of its programming, and obeying orders. A tool that can be used for good or evil depending on who is in control. But boy, it was hard on the player to carry that final mission out. I did feel guilty as heck! )
---
And if you liked my recommendations... (or if you are the authors) because I am very picky about high quality writing and I 5-starred all of them without hesitation at the end of the playthrough...
...I will put in a shameless plug for my own arc in my sig below. I do not think my formatting or my writing matches up to the above standards, but maybe only 10% worse, hey?
Invictus Est Level 50 Invul/Fire Tank
Malentis Level 50 Ice/Energy/Leviathan Dom (Freedom)
Black Jeremiah Level 50 Fire/Fire/Mu Dom
Sejanna Level 50 Dark/Dark/Elec Def (Virtue)
Arc #119664 - The MiniMech Cometh - Hess TF Mini-Sequel
ARC ID: 54516
Four missions long, easily soloable with any lvl
One EB at the end with two allys
Six votes so far and they have been a mixture of four and five stars
I have three arcs that have been received fairly well..
Two have some humor 44095 (the Accidental Villain) and 116211 (What Heroes Do). These are 3 map missions. And one that is serious and 4 map missions long 56826 (Rise of Apocalypse).
None are for farming and I would appreciate any feedback to make them better!
