Having a real hard time with it on my comp, at "work". The application of IE that I try to view it with, completely locks up. Can't shrink or enlarge it, nothing. The only thing I can do is end it through the Task Manager. Funny though I can open up other IEs and they work fine.

Can you open IE and go to the Help menu item and then to the "About Internet Explorer" item from that drop down menu and list for us which version of IE you are browsing the website with?

I'm having the exact same problem and my version is IE 6. It loads up the background picture and then IE freezes. I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL to get out of it.
I like the fact that the page is way more responsive and easier to read now.
I do have a couple of niggles though even if the page is still "beta".
In "about the game" info under signature heroes and villains there are numerous spelling errors. Also, shouldn't the server status inquery be under game info instead of news?
Just asking. I believe they are on the right track though. Thumbs up.

The main website covers both aspects of the game. We've given anyone who ever had access to both sides, so they are both sides to the same coin that is the City of Heroes franchise.

Are two different databases with a mirror operation going on. This will change when we migrate to vBulletin. The vBulletin forums will have a unified look and we're very aware that users enjoy having a choice in looks when accessing our message forums. Look for more information about the beta testing of our new vBulletin platform in the near future.

The veteran rewards details from the Plaync site give a "Page Not Found."
I love the new site...great job
Something you might want to look at though is the Archetypes page. I noticed that Masterminds don't have thugs listed...it says there are only 4 (bots, ninjas, zombies, mercenaries).
I also noticed on the archetype page that the symbols for each archetype have color on the edges of the circle to make a square...not sure if that was done on purpose or if it's supposed to be translucent.
Can't say I approve. It doesn't really look very nice aesthetically,
and poorly imitates the simple-but-functional effectiveness of the
old version.
The "blockiness" of the graphics used looks full of seams, very
unnatural and rough, and the choice of an image background,
makes them contrast very poorly with it, like a bad cut and
paste job.
The news feed needs to be at the top somehow, like the old
version provided. Pushing it down to make room for the
"LEARN MORE" part is bad design.
Is this a work in progress, or the final version? Because it
looks very alpha right now.

Final proof that the devs hate villains... CoV.com automatically redirects to CoH.com.... muhahaha! Take that, villains, now you all must play and browse under the banner of the Heroes!

Sweet Jezus that launcher and new website nearly gave me a heartattack, for a second i thought my client got turned into the European version (and i'm near my ISP's download limit for this month!)!

Just wanted to say, the Issue Updates looks particularly spectacular.
Please consider using a similar format for the Game info page for Geography and Know your Adversary?
I dunno. I could be overawed by it. It's just the banners looked pretty distinct and cool. I guess 1 for every zone and enemy could be an artwork overload.
PS- PLEEEEASE consider a new schedule for adding updates to the info sections. More zone write ups where they're seriously lacking.

I'm pretty sure this is part of the whole game merging thing. City of Villains is now really an expansion of City Of heroes and will not be treated as an independent game anymore.
Just NCSofts view on the franchises future. After all advertising for two games at the same time woudl be a pain in the butt.

It looks like the update was to bring CoH's website in line with that of Tabula Rasa -- one company, one look. To me, the main differences are largely cosmetic -- TR's site has little flags in the top right for the international sites, CoH's doesn't (probably an oversight -- there should be a link to the EU stuff up there); CoH's middle column is wider and right side column is skinner than TR's; TR's site has a search field in the left column.
But the two sites look /very/ similar now.

My work comp is freezing up too. I get the (REALLY cool-looking) background, but after that IE freezes up entirely. I'm running 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158

Love it. Didn't even know it was happening until I checked the site today. Great surprise! Looks great. Nice change from the old look. CoH.com v2.0 Slightly wish it was spread throughout whole site, like here in the forums, but even just as a homepage it is great QoL change for the better. Many thanks Devs and Artists. Keep it up.

Hm. While IE6 is no longer the current version, it still has a substantial installationn base. Something to look into to see if it can be fixed, Lighthouse.
Out of curiosity, are those of you running IE6 able to view Tabula Rasa's website successfully?

Yes it's IE 6.0.2800.1106
I get the picture then it freezes, sometimes it finally pulls it up after several minutes but then usually gives the "not responding" box and asks to end the program. It has worked once or twice but it mostly freezes up.
