I get this from base portals and telepads as well as trams. The animation in my case is a fast vibration/flicker in something like the nonmoving flight pose. It looks (to my utterly untrained eye) like 2 separate frames are playing over and over without whatever frames between them would smooth out the motion.

The motion stops if I move (but restarts if I stop moving with flight/hover still on) or when I shut flight/hover off.

I for 1 am very disappointed with issue 12. About the only thing so for that has been worth the wait is the combining of insps. As far as the new zone and costumes going they are a major disappointment. In my opion you should 1 lower the level of the new zone or two not give the midnighters misions out until at least level 30 where they will actually be helpful. As far as the costumes go I guess the grab are better than the vanguard uniform or the xmas one since it has to be earned through a TF and if you are not verly fond of TFing then you do not get to use it. Missions are ok for the first 4 then after not worth doing

Why 13? Don't you want trail users to experience Flight, Super speed etc? Thats one of the best reasons to play the game!

Don't you read the loading screen tips? You can get a temp Flight power at level 5 and a temp SuperJump power at level 10 by doing the Mayhem/Safeguard missions.

And sooner or later, someone's going to give you a drive by Speed Boost.

Trial accounts have ample access to try out travel powers in the game. Certainly be able to see them and want them enough to pay for them.

OK, I downloaded the new patch and something I see that I didn't before, and it's not in the notes...

I ran the ITF last night and it looks like they added enemy Kheld spawns in the first mission. More specifically, when you exit the cave and go into the outdoor map, there are ALOT of Khelds (dwarvws and novas). It didn't bother me, but it is a change from the 5-7 ITF's I ran prior to the patch. Was this added in this patch or was I lucky to not see them before?

I'm thinking that ambush was there before, IIRC. I know that on my last run of the ITF, the leader warned us that there would be some Khelds waiting there, but there weren't that time. Might be a buggy spawn that some see and others don't?

Niviene says it's fixed. Castle just wants to look up our female toons' skirts. I haven't actually checked test to see after the patch, but Niviene hasn't lied to me yet.

A bit about the patch on test that fixes it, though - you still have to go to the costume shop and fix it yourself. I'm hoping that the patch comes with (even more) free costume tokens for those that don't have them stockpiled from vet rewards.

On the other hand, I guess if you want you can have the option to be an exhibitionist...

But it wasn't an ambush. Let me set the scene...

you enter the outdoor portion of the map and you are at the bottom of the hill with a path off to your left going up. There is a group of Cimerorians there (as always). Defeat those and move up the hill to the plateau (below the Stone structure where you have to free the Sibil (?). The first 5 time doing this there was just a Cimeroraian mob there at the bottom of the stone stairs. This time they are accompanied by about 10-15 Khelds. Not aggressive as an ambush would be, but just waiting to get pounded as part of a normal mob spawn.

Again, no issue for me. More mobs =more xp. but if they adjusted mob count or variety, they should add it to the notes.

I saw it last night. It was just like the Kheldian ambush that was in Closed Beta but they took out when they beefed up the final AV fight.

Back or not? Intended or buggy?

I dunno.

I am having the same problem. I paid for my account yesterday, and I still have the trial restrictions. I thought maybe I needed to wait 24 hours for my account to kick in, but no go. If the account limitations aren't lifted until the trial runs out (which would suck), then my month that I actually paid for better not start until then.


On a separate note, I agree with others that the limitations are ridiculous. I've tried CoH on three separate occasions since it was originally released, and each time at the end of the trial I didn't think the game was worth buying... this time, when I was trying it, I was playing with a friend, and really enjoyed some of the newer things (black market, inventions, etc), so we were talking about actually buying a month... then we sign on, and boom, can't even play together anymore. I definitely see the point of the restrictions from the perspective of paying customers, but there are some people still legitimately trying the game out. If this were my first time playing it and I had to play with the trial restrictions, I would not be buying the game, for sure.

I can assure you that the month paid for extended the sub time by a full month AFTER the trial 14 days. Worked exactly like that for my 2nd account when I subscribed that.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the RMTers are really upset about the new trial account limitations?

Upset enough that they just might be using those brand new trial accounts to make brand new forum accounts to post on the forums in hopes of getting the trial limitations reversed.

Hmmmm... we may never know.

One question - I just tested my Crab VEATs 'mace blast' power, and the mace being used is still invisible. Was only the Bane version fixed in regards to this: "Arachnos Soldier / Bane Spider - Fixed Bane spider characters getting an invisible default mace when using a powers respec. " Or were both the bane and crab versions of the mace fixed so they would be visible? just wondering - I did send in a petition to inform the devs also.

No, and such speculation is pretty silly if you know anything about how RMT operations work.

At the very least trial accounts ought to be able to reply to /tells, even if they can't initiate them.

I'd have to politely disagree . Trial accounts can't even speak in Broadcast, which makes finding a team twice as hard. And we all know how essential teaming is to CoX. How are new players supposed to see if they like the game if they can't even team?

Oh, definitely Known. We looked at it when it was first reported. However, the problem didn't happen in our test cases. That's why I asked for specific cases where it was happening to look at. (BTW, I have enough PMs on it! Thanks to everyone!)

I tracked down the specific geometry involved last night and sent the info over to Jay. Hopefully, he and the software guys can figure out what's going on in time for the next build.

[/ QUOTE ] The case is that the trial is an experiment often the first impression is that is ... many people like me for example learn to play with the first trials to then improve the game, if you block things crucial to the learning of the game such as chat rooms and so ... they pay the new players will join in the game ... from flying by me left 3 day trial so it had the same opportunities that they pay is.

Well considering that I (thankfully) know absolutely nothing about how RMT operations work I'd say that my speculation is just that. Speculation. Nothing silly about it. If I knew anything about RMT operations then I wouldn't have to speculate now would I? Perhaps you, with your boundless expertise on RMT operations, could inform me as to how RMT operations work. I'm also curious as to how this knowledge came to you as well.

I do think it's kinda funny that a lot of these trial accounts, registered within just the last couple of days, are posting on the forums now. All of a sudden. I haven't seen this many new accounts on the board ever.

And it's also kinda funny how a lot of these supposedly new people seem to know a lot about CoH/CoV. For example: one guy who registered just today in his very first post used the term CoX. Now if he's really new to the game, new to the forums and on a new account (and not an regular forum poster on a trial account or an RMT spammer) then how does he know to use that term?
