I was ecstatic about the pricing and now we're getting all these free slots too! Between my two accounts I'll be getting 11 free slots!
Once this goes live I'm gonna have to reactive my third account and start remaking those unplayed toons on my main accounts. And probably buy at least 5 slots right away...I'm not an altoholic, really I'm not.

Will these server of choice options be a one-shot deal? In other words, if I select Champion x 2 then will I never be able to select other servers with these 2 free slots?
I'm planning on buying at least one 5 for $20, but I'm concerned about that free slot server choice. I really feel that should be free across all servers.
Also, will the purchasable slots be server of choice or across all servers?

Every 12 months that a subscription is maintained will unlock an additional free character slot that the user can apply to the server of their choice. Thus, existing players will be eligible for up to 4 additional character slots at the launch of Issue 12. This will continue into the future for Veteran Rewards given out every 12 months, so you get another slot for 5 years, another one for 6 years, etc.
[*] Additional Optional Character Slots will be available on a purchasable basis. These are one-time fees, not an addition to your monthly subscription rate. The additional slots can be had at the following price points:
1 Optional Character Slot for a one-time fee of $5.99
2 Optional Character Slots for a one-time fee of $9.99
5 Optional Character Slots for a one-time fee of $19.99
[*] Players can have up to 36 slots per server, with an update to the character selection screen that lets you re-organize your character list by Drag and Drop, as well as easily flip between up to three pages of characters available on that server. All customers benefit from these great new User Interface features included with the revisions for Optional Character Slots.[/list]The above features are planned to be made available at the launch of Issue 12: Midnight Hour, which is currently in closed beta testing. As I read it, you get anywhere from 2 to 6 free slots when it goes live. It's not 2 per server, it's 2 free (but still 2 more than you had before). So if you get all 6, you can add one slot each to six different servers, or can add three each to two servers, or any combination you want.

Well, there's the 2 free I12s, the 1 per 12 months, and the buyables.
I was just trying to keep them separate when I posted. So when I said "2 free" I meant the initial pre-Veterans free slots.
I think this is an amazingly generous compromise by NCSoft. Get some free, pay for the rest. Right on guys!

Huzzah! That is EXACTLY what I suggested, when the topic of extra character slots first came up ... loooong before i12's beta started ... ^_^
This also means I will have two Vet Slots, and in six months, a third.
