Very cool! I know that when the Jester set came out my friend was trying to make a Jester outfit and it was hard to find all the 'pieces' of the set....so having the 'set' icon/button is a great addition

Sooo...how about more character slots per server?

They're already working on that one.

Great choice to again have the numbers available, but not in yer face.

Our Samurai armoured friedns will appreciate the easy grab all the set. Some of those for sure are in wierd places.

With the Power Information...will there be a way to view this info outside of character creation or levelling up? Possibly more detailed information on your Enhancement Screen or with the hover over on your Powers tab?

[/ QUOTE ]

The detailed power info will be available in the power selection screen, level up screen, respec screens, enhancement screen, and as another tab on the info window for powers.

Very nice, I can't wait to see what some of the Costume Sets look like. Maybe some free costumes for i12, hmm?

[/ QUOTE ]

Just to clarify for everyone, to my knowledge there are no new costume items added. The sets from the pull down are just the collection of all the items in that list. For example, if you want to have all the "steampunk" items (say to start and tweak your character from there) it will select all of those for you. But it doesn't mean that there are items for every slot in that set; just that it puts what available costume items there are on your character.

Thanks Light, I was just about to post a question about that.

One thing in the real numbers I'd like to see is a power's range, maybe I just missed it while looking over the screen shots.

Having the numbers feature while creating the character is a very nice quality of life goodie, much pleased and lookng forward to it.

Yoinks. That covers about all of it, then.

Some nice QoL stuff here. Eight thumbs up!

Really great stuff here, thanks a lot. Any chance we'll get a "save your costumes" option sometime in the future?

More information about how powers work and a user-friendly improvement to costume creation interface, two changes that will make the game better for everyone?

With the slider to see how it scales with level? ZOMG! The coolness... it's... it's too much! I think I need to have a little lie down for awhile.....

For those of use that want to make guides, this is a insanely good benefit for them since they can grab the real numbers from any power set right at the screen creation.

I would like end cost per cycle and IO set categories added as well though.

Bravo to finally opening up the stat infomation officially. It would be cool if there was an official online listing on this site.

Two questions. One of the listed features was real numbers before picking powers, so I'm guessing we can see those numbers while training. However, can we look at real numbers for powers not available? If I'm considering a new set, I not only want to know what the first or second tier attacks do, I want to see what the ninth tier does while I'm still in the character creation. If I can't, well, still a vast improvement over what we have, consider it a feature request.

[/ QUOTE ]

Based on what I am seeing in the screenshots looks like this will be possible. The example shows numbers for Vengeful Slice which appears to be unavailable from the power choice selection.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, as the powers stuff is functioning in our Alpha builds, you can mouse over any of the powers in the primary and secondary and see the numbers of those powers.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nice. That covers the one concern I really had about this implementation. Well, aside from confirming that the same functionality exists when leveling up at a trainer, and not only at creation (though I can't imagine it wouldn't).

Beyond that, it looks like this feature update is nothing but win

I'm assuming that you have to go so far as to pick the powerset and then you can see all the stats for all the powers in the set (the screenshot shows looking at 7th tier power while in the stage of character creation). And if you don't want that powerset, you can back out to pick and look at another.

Nice to see a non-DOOOOM thread!
And I like the costume sets button. It sure will make finding things a lot easier. I remember a friend of mine uttering one of the DUMBEST excuses not to add "too much more" to character creator. He said that with too many choices, people would get "bogged down" in the costume editor, and would take forever to make their characters. Is that really a bad thing? People who just want to get playing will whip up something simple, whereas people who want to play with the costume maker will take their own sweet time, regardless of the parts they have to play with.

The costume sets button helps counter my friend's objection, as well as making it easier for anyone, newbie or not to try out several different costume sets to see what they like or don't.

I can't find the post I just made pointing out the range but it's there...Vengeful Slice has a range of 5 ft.
