No, you beat me to it. It is seriously overpriced for a few costumes and emotes. I've been here for ages, and i even want this stuff, but really.
The same 9.99 could get you an entirely new game, like AudioSurf, for an example. I know that's where my 9.99 will go.
I think 4.99 is a bit steep, and 3.99 is about just right IMHO. 9.99 is just too high.
I would like to suggest a "Newlywed" or "Just Married" badge. Maybe even "Lovebirds," or "Renewed Vows" for folks who are already married but are celebrating their anniversary and such.

I am not paying any amount of real money for an expansion with nothing but cosmetic items in it. The event itself is the one of them most disgustingly self-indulgent instance of Mary-Sue-ism I've seen. (I wish I could say it was the worst, but I've been in too many tabletop campaigns with bad GMs for that.)
I'll be giving this entire event a pass, thanks.

I just bought the upgrade, although I have not yet had the time to log in and check out the costume parts.
The "with skin" options for the ladies look amazing, as does the tuxedo coat and skirt. I'm going to have some serious fun playing with these parts, I promise I won't do any Kill Bill clones. Why the heck would I want to make a clone when patching together all these bits into something original is SO much more fun?

I don't mind it at all. If it's not work $10 to you, don't buy it.
It is a just a few costume parts and a emotes. I agree, I'd be alot happier if it were $5 or less.. But I got it for my main account, and I will probably cave and get it for my 2nd.

IMHO, given that they're going to charge for something, this is exactly the right way to have done it. Maybe throw in some kind of prestige power, but certainly not a badge. I didn't like the RMT for the VIP badges, and I wouldn't like it if they did it again.
As for the event itself, I'm looking forward to it. I'll be there.

I can't find a way to change the interior colour of the bridal veil (hair). It doesn't seem to inherit from cape/trenchcoat interior colour, so I can't even seem to change it that way.
Also, the veil colour should not be linked to the hair colour. and really, it should allow at least some choice of hairstyle, not forcing you to use just the one.
A proper list of the pieces, including what costume options the occupy would be very useful, I have yet to find some of them.
Also, given this is a paid for pack and thus I can be a bit more demanding:
The Tux choices would be much better if they were available with or without the internal waistcoat and if you could change the waistcoat colour seperate from the lapels.
The price does seem a little steep for what you get. I was happy to buy it to support all the hardwork you guys and girls have put in, and to help fund further development. However, adding a little to the pack might help sweeten the deal for people. Maybe throw in some of the other pieces you have lying around from the pre-order/special editions?

Thanks for the Feedback Darkspeed. One item to note, the wedding veil on the current live version 16.200801222.5T2 is not displaying correctly. It should appear as mostly see through, like real lace. The current version is mostly filled in. This will be corrected in a coming update.

There is still a full complement of free Issues and content scheduled for this year and beyond for City of Heroes and City of Villains.
This pack is something that we were able to make available outside of our regular release schedule. So, no, you won't have to pay for other new costumes and emotes. We realize that the Wedding Pack won't be for everyone, but hopefully those who are interested in it will find that they like having the option to obtain it.

This summer, will I have to shell out an additional $9.99 for a new "sparklers" emote, along with some appropriately patriotic couture? When Halloween comes along, will the special "pumpkin head" full helm only be available to those willing to plonk down some extra cash?
I'm not saying that there's no chance I'll buy it, and I apologize if the tone of these questions sounds hostile, but if this is likely to become a regular trend with special events, to charge fees above and beyond the usual monthly one for extra (arguably minor) perks, I'd like to know in advance.

Technically it says "Beginning at 3:00PM PST (6:00 PM EST) on the Training Room, and repeating for the next 3 hours, we will present the wedding ceremony live."
The for seems to imply that it will repeat only for 3 hours, and thus end at 6pm PST. Unless you're reading a different announcement.

Well, since I did this with my Exteel purchases, I figured I'd post my experience buying this stuff too.
Clicked on the link provided by the email newsletter, which brought me to the NCSoft store. Clicked "buy now," was taken to my account management for login. Payment was quick and easy, the security bits made me happy and rather comfortable making the purchase (very important). Very quick, very easy. Headed into the game, into Icon, and there they were. My only complain is I wasn't (and am still not) sure exactly where everything is, so maybe in the receipt listing include where the various parts are? Sorry - not much for hunting. That aside I'm very pleased.
By the way, I do hope in i12 there will be at least one or three public wedding chapels. Maybe make an instanced one available for rent (influence, not real money) or as a "reward" for some cute little set of missions.

The tuxedo costume includes an elegant formal tuxedo jacket with tails (available to all characters).'
