I'm in shock. While I don't play nearly as much as I used to, I devoted SO much of my time to this game. And while I never RPed, my main toons were almost an extension of myself. I'm sad.

So I've run the arcs in the First Ward and was wondering if anyone is up for doing the Seed of Hamidon Zone Event? I've never done it but would like to.

I am somewhat of an introvert, but I have never understood some solo players' need to have everything accessible that groups have. It started with bases. "Oh woe is me, I'll never have enough prestige to build a cool base." With choice comes consequences. I don't feel badly for people who make their own decisions fully knowing the results of what their actions will bring.

This is an MMO. The MM stands for "Massive Multiplayer." If you want to play solo, go play a console game.

This game has been dumbed down so much it's ridiculous. I say, bring on the challenges. Some of us encourage solving problems and actually get a sense of satisfaction at beating a worthy foe.

I've been reading some Marvel titles for a long while now (X-titles, Elektra, Thor, Avengers, etc), and while sure, women heroes/villains are definitely drawn to appeal to men, I never looked at the majority of female characters as simple adjuncts to their male counterparts. As a woman, I am definitely sensitive to these issues and would take umbrage at Storm coming out with a tray of cookies while Cyclops and Wolverine plot their next adventure, but I don't see that. At least in my small experience with those particular titles.

As a side note, there's an interesting short about the evolution of Supergirl in the new Batman/Superman Apocalypse DVD that you might find interesting.

After five years, I still somehow build toons that all eat endurance like it's going out of style.
