Where are all the HeroClix players?
In middle school?
naw..I'm just josh'in ya...your alright.
Base their stats on surrent clicks you have that are similar characters.
Like say, When you think Manticore you think a nimbely archery type guy...Green Arrow stats or that sucky one Hawkeye.
From tehre if they(CoH characters) seem they should be stronger..buff'em up a bit. Manticore has TP so pull that from someone like Nightcrawler.
See's what I am saying?
I'm using the ones that came with CoV in a game called Heroscape. There's already Vikings, robots, secret agents, and ninjas so Positron, etc fit right in. The CoH-clix stats are WAY more powerful than the ones that came with Heroscape so we had to "dumb them down" a bit.

Anyone play HeroClix? Have you used the CoX characters while playing? Have you made custom figures based on your City of Heroes characters?
I've done all of that.
Currently I'm working on creating the remaining members like Sister Psyche, Back Alley Brawler and Synapse. I need help determining what their stats would be. Any suggestions?

HeroClix is a game? I guess you learn something new everyday.

I play heroclix every night. I log in with a hero and clix all over my screen.

Oh man I LUSTED after HeroScape for Christmas two years ago. Ended up getting CoH instead, which in retrospect was easier. No setup required, storage is minimal, and I can play whenever I want!
But yeah...blending HeroScape warriors with HeroClix figs would be an interesting exercise.

Hey Dinah I play if I can find that paper here ruffling large stack. My son and I made a chart dropping each power in CoX into a clix power so we could generate our toons into clixs. Have made 2 clays and rest just paper or wire right now.
Do you craft your own clixs and if so what clay are you using sculputing clay isn't the best for detailed painting we have found out.
PS heroscape and heroclix are 2 different games
Got it last Christmas for my 9 year old and I to play. It is a pain to setup, we've only played 3 times since December. Once we get a bigger place and don't have to setup on the kitchen table we may play more often.
But yeah the stats on the CoH Clix are unreal! My son took out my whole army with just the Positron Clix from the CoV set.

HeroClix is pretty cool, I used to play that a lot before I got into CoH about a year and a half ago, I even go to gaming conventions sometimes to buy the more rare/powerful pieces. They made some limited edition CoH/CoV versions that came inside certain box sets of the computer game, my StatesmanClix seemd to be pretty much unstoppable, unless you brought Lord Recluse or Black Scorpion to the table as well...I thought about making my own, but never really got around to it after I started playing in a supergroup.
P.S. my favored combo for normal, store-bought clicks for heroes is Veteran (i.e. red) Wonder Woman and Elite (i.e.blue) Firestorm the Nuclear Man. These 2 figures make a 300 point match-up that can really be devestating to the opponents, and tactics are pretty simple with 1 ranged and 1 melee to work with.
@Viking Queen.
Ugh, I got over a thousand of these stupid things, and I haven't so muched as glanced at them in over 2 years. DC, Marvel, most of the Indyclix even a custom clix based on my Tank, all of em sitting there collecting dust....
Anyone wanna buy em?
It's killing season

for custom clix I reccomend a 20 gauge wire armature(since dey so tiny) and "super sculpey" modeling compound (bakes hard in your oven) prime it, and paint away.
I've never played hero clicks, but I've gotten a couple as swag and inside CoH/V boxes and such. I used to make little custom tabletop guys though, so thought I'd share.
You serious?

I -love- Heroclix. There's just no people in my area who ever want to play it. When I visit my family on christmas break and other holidays and such I usually get one or two people to play it with me.
I've got a decent amount of them, not a huge collection by any means. And some Horrorclix(including The Great Cthulhu, which was $70 and is totally awesome, and is unfortunately broken now and replacements cost over a hundred bucks, sigh) and I plan on getting the Actionclix when they hit, if for no other reason than to adapt the Halo characters into the Heroclix rules and have Master Chief get beat down by Spidey and Batman.
But yeah, got the CoH/V heroclix, and they're all vastly overpowered. I can tear through people far too easily with them, so we no longer usually let people use them. :P But they're wonderful little figures.
As for custom heroclix, I only have one, and I myself didn't make it. I got it for free from someone on these forums who was looking to do a catgirl character set... though he didn't specify that said catgirls should be typical catgirls instead of the catgirl equivalent of Iron Man, power-armor and all. I haven't tried playing the game as my custom figure at all, but the guy did a fantastic job on it.
I'm hoping to see more CoH/V heroclix in the future to finish rounding out the Arachnos and Freedom Phalanx. Though I'd also like the Vindicators and some of the more important AVs(Doc Vahz, Clockwork King, Requiem, Nemesis) and a minon or two for 'em. But I doubt such a set or series of sets will ever be released. Heck, we're still waiting on -any- of those suggestions for merchandise we made to be produced...

You might also try Greenstuff. It's professional sculpting putty used to create miniatures. It comes as a section of blue and a section of yellow. You mix it together and work it from there. If you want more information on miniature sculpting, PM me and I'll get you sent in the right direction.
As for HeroClix, I'm not big on plastic minis. I prefer mine metal. There are some metal hero genre figures out there sculpted by Sandra Garrity, Silver Sentinals IIRC. I don't know how available they are these days, though. It has been some years since I've seen them, but I'll check around.
You can also check out the many varied miniature sites out there. Many fantasy figures are easily converted into superheroic types, and metal is easier to work with (IMO).

Yep, I'm also getting back into it. I'll be playing every week. I'm also really digging how they will be changing the game up, and changing the bases. Can't wait to try it

For custom Clix, I use pieces of other clix, crazy glue, and "green stuff" modeling compound.

I've recently gotten back into playing picking up the latest D/C pieces. I love the game, but I'm real rusty in gameplay. I like to mix up my figures from all my sets, including the City Of pieces.

I just taught my 9 year old nephew how to play clix last weekend. Tx for reminding me about the CoX figs. I think I'll give him some.
The best time I had playing Hero Clix was making up my own games.
My friend and I would play against each other in games of...
Control the Sentinel (3 points on the map allow you to control the sentinel until the other player stopped you. dice roll to determine which point was the active control point)
so much fun.
I will always pick Kitty Pride when playing Hero Clixs.
