And this forum isn't actually for reporting bugs, it's for discussing them.
Are we not discussing it now? :P Already bugged in game a couple times, just like I did the last time they broke it awhile ago. I dunno what is with the patterns on that helm, but they seem to end up broken quite often.
  2. See that avatar to my left here? See that red streak across the brow of the helm? That is broken...again. All of the patterns on that helm are broken. Nothing shows up. Why do I care, you ask? Because that toon has looked the same way for 8 years, and now, for the second time in 8 years, he looks dumb in his original costume. You wouldn't think that Streak pattern on the helm would make much difference, but you'd be wrong.

    Please fix it.

Nah, he's up for Deadpool. With Robert Rodriguez directing and the Zombieland guys writing. Or so goes the last rumors I read.
  4. Considering in this game a Blaster can grab the alpha for a group with enough buffs, the whole idea of "tanking" is pretty much moot.

When considering whether to make a brute or tanker, the only two considerations one needs to take into account are:

    A: Do I like damage?

B: How much do I dislike dying?

If you answer yes to A, than you want a Brute. If you answer "a lot" to B, or something to that respect, than you want a Tank.

My two main toons are a soft-capped Invul/ss tank and a sped-up stone/stone brute. Both IOed out the wazoo with everything except purples.

While the tank can herd Giant Monsters, his level of survivability is just unneeded in 99% of this games content. Now the Brute isn't quite as tough, since his IO's focused on run speed and end recovery over soft capping his defenses, but he is a million times more fun to play, since he can actually lay into a Boss and take him down in a respectable amount of time. I'd say even his level of survivability is unneeded in about 95% of this games content.

To be honest, short of concept, I cannot see a single reason why anyone should make a tank. And with Going Rogue on the horizon, concept can be tossed out the window since one can just bring their Brute to the blue side. The level of survival tanks bring to the table is basically useless on any decent team, and their damage in average cases is pretty much relegated to pointlessness. But add a Brute instead, who can easily be buffed to the tankers level of defense, and with the added factor that a good one can basically be the main source of damage on the team, and you've got all the functionality of a tanker, but none of the negatives such as low damage.

In my experience, an SOed out SS/WP Brute with a decently balanced team of buffs, debuffs and damage, is all the "Tank" one needs in this game. Add IO's, switch up primaries and secondaries, whatever, in the end a Brute should always be the first choice for meat shieldy-goodness in this game.

    I met a newbie!

My favorite type of newbie are the kind where they may be totally ignorant to the game mechanics, but their heart is in the right place.

What I mean is, they may not know about purple enemies, or how travel powers are earned and such, but by looking at their costumes you can see time and care was spent making it.

Their name is an actual word or multiple words, and not random letters or words with periods and x's. They often have a bio written and when they speak in chat, even though they may not know how to switch chat functions, they're still fairly eloquent and intelligent in their ignorance.

Those are the kind of newbies I'll gladly toss inf too, give them advice on power selection or even drag them along in missions to help them level up.

Unfortunately, in video gaming in general, that type of new player is few and far between.
  6. MA is just Winter Lord Redux as far as I've seen. Took awhile for something as crazy to crop up, but it was probably inevitable. Perhaps the biggest problem will be the fact that MA isn't going away in a month or two.
  7. I'd have to say my claws/ninjitsu stalker on Freedom, Suicidal. Snagged it at COV launch, and she's gone from a plant/thorns dom to an elec/invul brute to finally the current stalker incarnation.

    Anyone wanna buy em?

    Are you serious?

    [/ QUOTE ]

If so, sure! I'll take the whole freakin' lot! Also, what are these customizable clix of which you speak?

    -Burning Fang

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well here's what they're in, every tray is full except two, one of which is maps:

    Shelf Dealy

As for customs, here are the 3 I had done for me and friends:

Castelli - Spines/SR scrapper on Liberty

Rain Maker - Elec/Elec Blaster on Freedom

And my Invul/SS tanks costume at the time of the customizing

I took pics of whats inside the drawers, but there's tons of em, so if anyone is actually interested you can PM me. I don't have anything after Mutant Mayhem, and my DC collection is very small, but I do have almost all of the North American Indyclix, including unique Witchblade, Hellboy and Abbey Chase.
  9. Ugh, I got over a thousand of these stupid things, and I haven't so muched as glanced at them in over 2 years. DC, Marvel, most of the Indyclix even a custom clix based on my Tank, all of em sitting there collecting dust....

    Anyone wanna buy em?
  10. Nepharim's costume is obviously a demo-edit or mod. Demo editing and modding is against the rules is it not? So why was she allowed to be a runner-up, nevermind even be accepted for judging? Her costume openly breaks the rules, and yet she was given a prize for it? And all those entries from people who didn't have to cheat are left out?

So what you're saying, judges, is it's openly ok to demo-edit or mod in your entry from any costume in the game?

This is better for everyone, how the hell is it worse for you if the meleers on your team are no longer getting toggle-dropped?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Because a detoggled Brute, at worst, gets himself killed. A corruptor that's spending their day looking as drunk as Ted Kennnedy, on the other hand, tends to kill the whole team.

And, of course, is still detoggled.

Try playing a squishy for once, and you'll understand what I mean. My Stormer spends more time retoggling than he does blasting.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And you still have not answered my question. How does the reduction of the stun, which dropped toggles on even Brutes, make things worse for you squishies?

    [/ QUOTE ]

A detoggled Brute can't keep aggro off the squishies. I know Brutes aren't tanks, but they still have taunt and still are in front getting aggro.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Exactly, if the toggles drop for the squishy in a team setting, the brute can cover them since his toggles are still up. If it happens solo, well, thats what break frees are for. The only time the duration will matter is soloing.
  13. 17.71% max for EA?!!?!

Man, Invul is screwed, but ice may as well not exist anymore. EA should trump Invincibility, but they're guarding Invinc like it was a newborn while beating EA into the ground.

    I...do...not...[censored]...UNDER...[censored]...STAND!!!!
  14. Howabout just take the range you can run after firing up rooted, and allow the tank to move within that range.

If a person is running, and hits rooted, and it allows them to move 50 yds before the root grabs them, then let that 50 yds be the basis of movement in a 360 degree area.

    It's pseudo mobile status protection.
