Favorite Travel Power
Fly, robin, fly,
Up, up, into the sky.
Every one of my characters takes it, except one who has SJ: my only catgirl who likes to pounce on things .
My avatar shows my MA/SR scrapper, Cinnammon, after a MA attack while flying (I can never remember which one). I love that pose. Going the Fly option also showed me the power of Air Superiority, which I had never taken until then (always took Hover for all my ranged blastery types).
Teleport is by far my favorite travel power.
For me it comes down to either Fly or SuperJump.
Fly is very majestic, and therefore fits some characters very well.
However, Super Jump feels so aggressive. I love "bounding" into the middle of a mob ready to fight.
Dominators don't need mitigation from their secondaries. Even if they did, there's ice (slows), psi (-recharge), and fire and elec (death).

I get Fly for almost all my characters. It just seems the most 'heroic' to me. I do make exceptions tho:
*Ice/ice tank uses SS+Prestige Power Slide to give the impression he is sliding on ice at super speed.
*Elec/elec blaster uses teleport to 'send his molecules thru the electric currents in the air'
*I had SJ on my villain, but it became to cumbersome in GV, so I respecced into Fly.
Hmmmm, I'd have to say that Fly is my favorite. 3 slotted with level 50 SOs makes it...awesome! It's great for out flying those stupid stalkers in PvP.
Oh, and it looks great with the new fly positions on the test server.
I always chose the travel power that best fits my character concept- my highest level villain doesn't even have a travel power, actually. However, my favorite is Super Jump. While each travel power has its advantages, SJ has the fewest, and least annoying most of the time, disadvantages, it's a lot of fun, and fits with a large number of different concepts.
I do think the game needs more travel powers, though... How about Burrowing, for example?

Fly. While it's slow relatively slow, the red endurance is nice now.
I think I'd like SS, especially now with the GvE Jump Jet solving most of my vert issues except it's just way too easy for me to overshoot stuff.
Fly.
In some zones where my mission is on the other side (IP springs to mind), auto pilot
In zones like the Shard, easy travel without effort.
There is no mountain high enough or valley low enough I can't get easily in and out.
Yes, it is not fast (compared to the others) but that is offest by it's cruise control.
total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
Superspeed. But I miss the sound...

It really depends on the toon. However if Fly was a little faster, hands down would be my favorite.
I do like the jumpming on to things game too, glad I am not the only one.

Yes, and yes. 9 times out of 10, no matter the zone, SJ will get you to the mission door first. Teleport is pretty quick as well, but the chance of lag to hurt you can be a bit risky. Or the fact that it needs slots to be the fastest. SJ is there right out of the box (if you take hurdle on the way to stamina).
When I first played I had flight for the coolness. But I got tired of being the last one to the door repeatedly. And I used to take SS for the perma-hasten fix on all my toons. But even on those I would take SJ as well. Since ED I've settled in as a SJ only guy. Nearly all my toons have it, except for my two kheldians.

For me, travel power choice comes down to whatever best fills gaps in my build. Which means removing the manner of locomotion from the equation and deciding which travel power set offers the most benefit to the build. As one might expect; I wind up with super jump a lot.
The only set that offers resistance to the potentially deadly status effects immobilization, knockback and hold (amount of threat dependant on AT).
TBH I don't like super jump as a travel power. But I dislike being immob'd, KB'd and held even more.
It would be nice if the other TPs offered something more meaningful in the way of secondary benefits that don't get suppressed.
I almost always take Fly even though I have never cared for flying. Air Superiority fits in too well in too many of my builds to make it worth going for something else. It's also just too easy to use.
As far as fun SJ has the "wow" factor down. When you start playing you have to take SJ. After plodding along in other MMOs SJ is just such a trip.

You can't please everyone, so lets concentrate on me.
Hmm. This is a fairly common question.
I can't say I hate any of them. I've tried them all. I've practiced with all of them, and it helps.
Teleport is my least favorite. It's useful and cool, and FAST, but takes a lot of attention to use and occasionally you wind up teleplummeting instead. I am not good enough with it to use it tactically. I know a couple of people who do, and it's breathtaking.
Super Speed is a little more fun than teleport. It's fast and sparkly! I like actually having to learn my way around the zones. Faultline and Terra Volta didn't bother me unduly - never been to the Shadow Shard, but it sounds awful for anybody but fliers. I really enjoy Super Speed in Skyway. I love Skyway, though. Super Speed also feels fast. (Flight feels fast too, if you fly at ground level and dodge in and out of the cars and pedestrians and bus stops and things.) Like with SJ, I made a game of superspeeding along things. One of my speeders is a cat-character... he runs along fences, and that took practice.
Flight is good fun. I really like the superheroic feel. Superheroes *fly*, darn it! My first hero has fly, and there was never any real consideration. He would fly. That's all there was do it. Hover at 6, fly at 14. The city is pretty below you, and it's great to have the freedom. Also nice to be able to chat and get snacks. Flight is the most chat-friendly travel power.
Super Jump is my favorite. Terrain becomes a giant game, and you can learn ways around that others don't see. Can you meet teammates at Portal Corp without dying at level 20? Leap all the way down the power lines from the ferry, you're perfectly safe. (Some flying bad guys in that zone would be great, though!) Getting to the top of a huge building means so much more when you leapt there. (I too am glad I'm not the only one who plays the, "Can I jump on that power line, street light, wall, contact, teammate, etc." game.)
Having broken a rule of my own, and opened two pools with travel powers, I tried Super Jump and Super Speed at the same time. WOW! Coolness abounds! The leaping and control and vertical goodness of leap AT SUPER SPEED! I pass teleporters, and bound off of tall buildings in a graceful, firey arc. Hee hee!
It's amazing that I can have so much fun just moving around the map. You'd think that after two years it would have lost it's luster, but it hasn't.
I'm such a geek. Some of my heroes have journals.
Like others, I have the travel power that fits the character. I did try to get all of them, but I absolutely hated Superspeed and couldn't respec out of it fast enough.
Three characters have Super Jump, two have Teleport, four have Fly, and one has both Teleport =and= Fly.
Yeah, I likes me some flyin'.

My current favorite is Fly.
Any new characters I am building with fly in mind, leaving the only question AS (Love it) or Hover.
In CoV fly seemed semi required with all of the vertically chanllenged zones, I hated looking for land routes all the time with SS or not precisely knowing where or in what my next SJ will land me.
CoH is more friendly for vertical travel than CoV IMHO.
I love the poor stealth in SS.

And what do you win when you get to the door first? Nothing.
You can wait for me while I take my time cruising high above the city.
Since my very first travel power was SJ on my catty theme'd scrapper.. SJ will always be kind of special to me. It doesn't often get 'oohs', but I *did* jump to the top of the atlas statue and then have someone page me 'Did you JUMP up there?' That was nifty.
SS has a love/hate relationship with me. So love hate. I love it, and hate it. I want to respec out of it and keep it. Very frustrating.
Fly is 'graceful' power. I picked it for my semi-stiff necked Controller. Besides, it fitted thematically. I like fly. I don't like to fly IRL, so I'll do it in a game.
TP is a blast. Of 3 of the pool powers I have only yet to try Group TP, and I like all of them so far (I doubt I'll take Group TP unless it's made to be like the temp 'team teleport' from villains).
I'll still always love SJ. Just because it was the first.
I adore SJ.
I take SJ on all my toons and like others, I love to jump and bounce off of things. I am always timing my jumps and landings from building to building to see how long I can go before I have to hit the ground.
Also, I love combat jumping and acrobatics. Its the perfect pool for me: Super Speed's speed (almost) with enough height to get over dang near anything and two powers that give me KB and hold res and some decent def. It's love.

Playing Icy, I live in the air. I've had characters with Superjump, but lag kept putting me in the wrong spots at the faceplanting time. Both my main and favorite alt are fliers, which makes places with flying enemies a gas.
Striga Isle dogfights and gunning down witches = much fun. The ability to control exactly where and how you're going to engage is pure gold.
SJ is the most fun, but Fly has the most style.
