Firstly, I love the Rikti coding idea for this. So gets my vote!
I've done a large number of them with Mia thanks to my SG, and adore TF's, and even the SF's that we've done Red-side, and I agree that a number of things need to be tweaked, but I think the Rikti coding fixes my biggest complaint. (Yay for no more running into the SF with 4 people and discovering everything is +5 levels to everyone. *Stalker does quick about-face* I'm SO leaving!)
Also, anything that would add more TF/SF goodness I'm 100% in favor of! Thats it. Any intelligent suggestion I could make at this hour has already been made. -

Since my very first travel power was SJ on my catty theme'd scrapper.. SJ will always be kind of special to me. It doesn't often get 'oohs', but I *did* jump to the top of the atlas statue and then have someone page me 'Did you JUMP up there?' That was nifty.
SS has a love/hate relationship with me. So love hate. I love it, and hate it. I want to respec out of it and keep it. Very frustrating.
Fly is 'graceful' power. I picked it for my semi-stiff necked Controller. Besides, it fitted thematically. I like fly. I don't like to fly IRL, so I'll do it in a game.
TP is a blast. Of 3 of the pool powers I have only yet to try Group TP, and I like all of them so far (I doubt I'll take Group TP unless it's made to be like the temp 'team teleport' from villains).
I'll still always love SJ. Just because it was the first. -
O_o Duude. That was funny, and I haven't even reach MoG level yet. Wicked.

Just wanted to say thanks for the guide. I was having a few (minor) problems, but this info helped. Not being a COMPLETE tech geek, I was mostly lost, but the directions were nice and easy to follow. ^_^ Now my game looks shiny again! Squee!

Heh. Forgive me if I'm not completely coherent, since it's 2:30 in the morning right now..
I sort of stumbled here and, after reading, was just smiling a lot. The way you describe the Superteam sounds like my SG. In our case, it was almost an accident and more years of actually knowing each other (most of us IRL). We tend to blow through missions, and even TF's, esspecially with our Primaries. When we got to some of the higher req. TF's (there's only 4 us pretty much garunteed to be around on our 'teaming Sundays').. anyway, when we started inviting others we got some interesting reactions. Most of our communication was to the new members, and otherwise tends towards making jokes, ectera (like who 'wins' for arriving at the mission first). I belive the funniest reaction was from someone when we did the Citadel TF, wich was 'Holy @#%&, I've never seen this go that fast'.
Anyway, love this post, and now going to read the rest, or mark'm for reading later.Nice job.
(BTW, I've been on a team that was almost completely Controllers. OMG that was fun!) -
Ooo! I like this! The only way the BRB could be better would be to make is SPARKLY!!
*ahem*
+1 vote for the BRB. Squee! -
Hmm. Speaking for myself, I was really interested in this - but I was thinking they would be more like a temp power that was clickable when you needed it. So if you running up against an Elite Boss you can give yourself a boost, or for a big fight in a Task Force or something. I suppose it might be useful on that TF if the enire team dies and skips through their bases on the way to use the stations before going back..
A bit disappointing, but survivable.Just means we don't have to worry about them and can save salvage for other stuff, I guess.

Or simply, when a mission is completed, then the mission is marked as completed.

But since this is the way it actually does work, there is no exploit there.

I thought the idea was:
Person A has glowie mission, set to Invincible
Person B joins team, both enter
Person A quits
Person B stealths mission, gets mega XP
Person A's mission isn't marked as 'completed' because they weren't there - it was finished by someone who wasn't on the team.
(so in that case, you could potentially fix this by denying mission completion bonus if the owner wasn't present when the mission was completed.)

Actually, I think it might work this way. A SG member of mine was on a mission with a random person - said person ran through HIS mission, clicking all the glowies and not doing anything useful (hence, stealing all his glowies, wich we consider rude, and leave him to deal with everything else). After asking her to quit and be useful several times, he quit. Quit the mission, quit the team - and when he logged in next, the mission was completed.. by someone else, who was no longer on his team. Dunno if thats how it always goes but..
