Gauntlet and Taunt Auras don't work on AVs anymore
I was thinking more in the line of damage simply vanishing, percentage increasing with the ammount of allies in range.

Clobber would have to go all the way to Knockout Blow damage for War Mace to be competative. Upping it to Cleave level would be insufficient. Upping the BI to 9.8 would make the set pretty much comparable to Battle Axe.
I agree with the rest of the suggestions, though since it has been stated that fire won't be getting knockback protection, you're probably dreaming too hard. I can see passives getting some buffs since Castle did mention they saw a problem with passives in general (and the bonus Super Reflexes got in the passives may set a precedent).
Too many alts to list.
I thought about bodyguard before, but I thought of it like this.
If any baddie targets the tank with an aoe, there is no aoe (only a direct attack to the tank).
A good reason for us to do our jobs, and protect the team.
50 Tanks: Invul/ss, Fire/ice/fire, Ice/em, Stone/fire
WP/Stone, dark/dark, shld/mace
50 Other: WS, SS/dark/sc brute, BS/Regen/WM scrpr, fire/fire/force blaster, rad/kin corr, mind/rad ctrl, ill/storm cntrl

My only issue with this is you'll see more tanks taunting while standing with the rest of the team. Right now the AOE splash damage deters this kind of behaviour. IMO there is a good reason for teams to be spread out (it makes things more dynamic in regards to buffs, etc). Having the team able to stand in a clump with no fear of AOEs would be problematic. Perhaps allowing the tank to reduce the AOE damage by a percentage, but not any resulting status effects, would make this more balanced.

reduction to the overwhelming abundance of status effects in this game is past due, and anything that is done to reduce the frequency of "squishies" being hit by an AE knockback or AE sleep would be wonderful. So, it won't happen.
As a big fan of Air Superiority I guess that explains why I've not had much trouble with losing AV aggro.
Still a stupid situation for tankers to be in and I hope it is rectified* soon.
*No Devs, "rectified" does NOT mean stopping pool powers from aggroing AVs.

I just had an Invul Scrapper's Invincibility aura take the aggro of Vandal away from my Ice Tanker. Looks like either respec time for my level 27 Ice to get Taunt finally. I wish I didn't remember when Tankers were not required to take Taunt to tank an AV.

I used to do this in issue 2-3 all the time.
I'd say "Use provoke or taunt" and the tanker would say "But I have invincibility!" and I'd say "Just trust me" and they wouldn't, and I'd get aggro from the tanker.
Really annoying.

As someone who plays entirely concept characters, I hate this. Does Superman taunt his foes? No! In fact, most of the class heros archtypes that 'taunt' are anything but tanks. In fact I can only think of one right off the top of my head.
So, why should they make it to where a major advantage of an entire AT is to take the damage completely useless in a team?
Especially since they are trying to encourage teaming over soloing with the changes to AVs in the first place.
Beh - Cryptic needs to remember that there are other games out there. They upset enough players, all the wings and other sparklies will not keep them.

Prior to this point, Kali, the only way I could ever take aggro from an Ice tanker was by using Taunt. The fact that a Scrapper can take AV aggro from an Ice tanker with Invincibility is appalling.

Taunt? How about AT's?.....
Technically, the concept of ATs can survive a change of vision, but the way they are designed may change a bit. CoV ATs were actually designed under such vision.

Well, this was in issue 2, and it wasn't an Ice Tanker with Invincibility.
It never happened in BOSS, if that helps.
