My favorite PVP moment, whats yours?
in warburg i crane kicked a MC over a rail unto a pack of spidermen monsters in the lower bit of the bunkers there.
he attacked me first tho .
I had started a new Stalker alt and was in Bloody Bay to run a few missions and get some exp. A Corruptor sees me doing this and asks me if I want to team up and run the missions faster.
I say ok and we stand still for a minute or two outside of a mission door discussing a few generalities. I know you never stop in a PvP zone and all that stuff but, really, there wasnt anyone else around
Suddenly a Defender swoops down from the sky and starts attacking the Corruptor, dropping the Corruptors health pretty fast. The Corruptor fights back a bit and starts squawking kill kill kill on the team channel. Hey, I had been in the middle of typing something, and Im a bit slow on the ole keyboard...
1 Build Up & Assassination Strike later, there was a dead Defender lying on the ground. I imagine it must have be rather startling for him.
That one sticks with me because I was (hidden) standing still right beside the Corruptor when the fighting started; the Defender must have thought he was zooming in to attack a lone villain. Surprise!
Mine was having my Plant/Thorn dominator jumped by a DM/Regen scrapper. I think he was a 29 to my 35. Anyway, I dropped my spirit tree and creeper patch, and started going toe-to-toe with this guy. I kept knocking his toggles off, and then holding him. He'd pop a breakfree, and attack. That would take me down to about a quarter health, but then I would have held him again, and the tree's healing would top me off by the next time he got free.
I got to use Domination against him twice, but by the end of it, I was up, and he was down.
I had to leave Siren's right after that; what could I do to top that?
edit: Whoops, I realized this is the stalker forums. Still, is my favorite PvP moment, no matter the AT.
I was in SC after mid sized hero VS villain battle where the villains killed or ran off (the admittedly outnumbered) heroes. I glanec up to one of the high rises to see the orange/red sign of a hero so I lept away, circled around and came back to the rooftop where I had seen him. He was a spines scrappper with his AoE running and apparently confident in its ability to keep him safe. Being to close to risk build up I simply walked up behind him and let lose with an AS, uphased or undaunted by the spikes flying from him.
As landed and dropped about half his health so I immediatly hit placate, build up and energy transfer leaving him with a sliver of health that boine smasher quickly releived him of.
Back during Arena testing:
Playing a level 50 Invul/Ice tanker. It was a 5 on 5 test. The rest of my team died very quickly...after about 10 minutes (3 cyclings og Unstoppable) and me killing 2 or 3 of the opposing team, the test was called...because I was essentially unkillable.
Using that same tanker, I later fought Pohsyb's Ill/Kin controller...and lost. He timed my crash...

The fiend.
I had a good time today on a PUG in Siren's with my D3. The team was pretty horrible, with the usual hero team mentality of "PH34R US L4M3R V1LL41NS!!", until one of them gets killed, at which point half the team quits (I mean literally, this happened today). The team slowly rebuilds, with me one of the few sticking around but not actually being the leader. I just wander around, mostly do my own thing, and generally try to Defend my team. I know that Stalkers can kill me very nicely, so today I decided to be mobile. I'm able to chat during the downward arc of SJ, so I very rarely stop moving for long.
Being a D3, I'm not terribly effective against most things, I can mez a few ATs, the Fear will get most anything besides /Ninjitsu Stalkers and /DA Brutes, and Tar Patch interrupts AS'ers. However, I have no +perception, so I only see about half of the villains in the zone.
Given that I don't really care for the team I'm on (I usually side with the villains in those "You are teh coward!!1!" broadcast "debates") and knowing that I can really bother some Stalkers with TP and FS, I ask each Stalker that enters the zone if they'd like me to leave my team to rot and let them earn some SOs. Hey, I'm being nice to someone!
Anyway, none of the two or three Stalkers there ask me to leave, so I stick around. And while I'm there, although people do occasionally die, I do everything within my power to mez, debuff, unhide, interrupt, kill, and generally make the violence miserable for them. Everyone on the team gets killed once or twice, I personally go down two times (thanks mostly to a generous supply of Breakfrees), but the villains never have much success. I feel like I really helped out there.
For single best moment, I have to go with the part where I run in, Stun one /Rad Corruptor and Hold the other, and then fear the /Regen Stalker, completely incapacitating the villains in that fight while my team recovers. I felt genuinely useful.
I was in Bloody bay, and there was a stone tanker. No other prey around really, so I said, hey, worth a shot. I took 4 enrages, build up and POW, about 1/2 of his health gone. Well, I didn't placate immediately, I used focus to kite him a few times.. manage, to drop his rock armor and mudpots with brawl, popped a luck, got back into hide, pow another as, he heals again, I kite with focus again, placate, pow.. dead tanker. Took about 5 minutes... It was a really, really cool fight, we even drew a small crowd that did nothing but watch.
w00t! Pohsyb FTW... Never doubt a man in the Box!
My personal favorite was actually one where I lost. I was on my MA/DA TP'ing ppl and eating Stalkers for breakfast and I notice this Dominator floating 10 ft away in the corner of my screen while everyone else was ignoring me completely. Bam! HELD, then out of nowhere, this Brute zips in and almost two-times me with Knockout and some other attack I didn't even recognize. But before I could use Dark-Regen against him, the Dom finishes me off... I'm like: "Whoah... I gotta re-evaluate the state of Doms now".
My second personal Fav was where there was about 4 or 5 MM's camping the platform above the Heroes' Helicopter and the 3 other heroes that where there just couldn't take them down fast enough to clear the platform. But I ran in with my Ill/Kin scraptroller, SupInivs, Decoys, Decieve, and 10 enrages blarring, and took out three of them in about 15 seconds and nailed the 4th as he was trying to get away up in the tower. (I can 3-shot most of them with Blind-SW-Flurry after a Fulcrum Shift) They didn't come back after that
Me, in warburg, setting up a few traps with my mastermind. Suddenly a corruptor jumps down from the globe to land in front of me, triggering buildup as he falls. (Presumably because he was about to use his level 32 nova-like power on me.) Sadly he jumped down onto the patch of mines I was setting up.
The resulting explosion didn't kill him. He had about 10% hp left still. However the explosion DID knock him down... and onto a bigger patch of mines I'd set up previously. Which did, in fact, kill him.
Poetry in motion. And I never even fired a shot. Made my day.
i actually have 3 favorite moments in pvp...
1)
i logged onto my stalker in sirens, and immediately i see a team of 8 villians losing terribly to 1 single ill/ff controller. no matter what they do they can not scratch her.
she is hopping around everywhere no matter what she cant be hit, and that villian team is being confuses and harrased by phantom army.
well i look around log off then get my merc/ff mastermind. i summon my mercs put up repulsion field, dispersal, and then teleport out to where the fight was. she was still there abusings that poor villian team.
i fire off the most perfect force bolt i have ever fired off. she is knocked down in the air and falls flat on her rump. her dispersal bubble is detoggled. i teleport next to her and use repulsion field to knock her into the wall so she cant run.
my mercs all jump over a wall at the same time, and unload a massive amount of webnades and flashbangs. in a few more seconds she dies riddled with bullets.
she send me a tell saying NICE
2)
with my merc/ff i was tping around warburg in pff + dispersal + force bubble. i happen to land on top of one of those towers you take the scientists too, and a massive amount of trip mines go off. well now i notice a ninja/trap person on top there.
well my mercs were being stupid and running around bellow the tower so i teleported away real quick then did my leash teleport and landed on the tower with my mercs appearing next to me.
when i get back the mm is invisible... so i unload on his oni, and he starts tossing caltrops and puts down that triage beacon. well... i target him with my minions then i detoggle pff.
the mastermind and his henchmen are THROWN as far as ive ever seen anything fly. force bubble repeling them into a skyscrapper. i see all the ninjas trying to jump back up to get me but the bubble just knocks them around poor mastermind
3)
i saw a robot/traps and a dominator traping the bejebus out of the entrance to the web in warburg on my em/ninjitsu stalker. tripmines everywhere. well i know a little trick with fly where i can drop down onto the trip mines and not set them off.
well i land next to the mastermind and dominator. hit buildup +assasin strike on the mastermind. he dies and all the tripmines go off. im knocked on my butt and all my toggles are detoggled.
the dominator looks at me with a very long pause while i queue up stun. he jumps away with superjump right when it activates. it hits him in midair, and he lands next to one of those groups of malta hercs. i look around innocently and run off. poor guy

Stories like this always make me wonder if they've led directly to nerfs.... "OMG Invul pwnz, we must nerf it, it is so unbalanced!!!111oneone!"

Hmmm... if we set up enough Mines in a row, and get, say, a Dull Pained Tanker lined up right, how far could we get him to bounce?
-Quantum "Yes, I think about these things" Paradox
There was a Blapper in Siren's hopping all over the place... and he was gunning for the only Dom in zone. So I watched his grasshopper routine and hopped down to where he would most likely land, then just spammed AS as rapidly as I could. Soon enough it triggers and as the Blapper was heading over to deal the final blow, he dies. His corpse goes flying off into a zone wall because of the momentum from his jump.
It was pure luck that he even landed near me and even more lucky that AS even triggered.
Oh... And heres another one:
A group of heroes were camped(As always) in one spot, inside of a FF controller's bubbles. Only this time, they're standing right on top of a Spines longbow boss. So I have to do that rushing past attack thing which makes the controller puts up PFF because he keeps getting smacked around. So, I use that nectar temp power on the longbow near the group of heroes. Sure enough, the boss gets confused and starts wreaking havoc on the group of heroes, in fact, the boss nearly killed a scrapper.
The funny part about this whole thing is that the heroes didn't move. They stayed in that spot, taking quills damage again and again, until my group swooped in and easily dispatched the wounded group.

Forum Troll Rule #1: Anyone who disagrees with my point of view is either a fanboy or an idiot.
I'm a proud carebear.
I have a couple...
We have a dude in our SG (PUAD), Bolt Crank, a level 50 Invuln/Ax Tanker who prides himself on being virtually unkillable. We had a server event for the SG's one year anniversary, and one of the events was a kill Bolt Crank event. It was 3 on 1 in the Arena, and the team who killed him the quickest received some HOs.
Me and my two friends had some heroes in a coalitioned SG, so we took him on with those. We went last; it was my Illu/Rad Controller, a Fire/Rad Controller, and an Elec/Elec Blaster. We brought him down about 10 seconds ahead of the next closest team! He made us re-do it because he didn't get Unstoppable on in time, but really it was because he knew we would gloat about it to this day, which we do.
The next... I was solo on my Stalker, and came across a team of 3 in the Warburg Web. 2 controllers, and a Tank. I dropped one of the controllers, hopped out, re-hid, dropped the other. One of the other controllers awakened, dropped her again. Hopped out, pumped some enrages, and took out the Tank. All the while the Controllers are saying Stalkers have nothing better to do than pick on Controllers, and the Tank is exclaiming jewels such as "U &#%^ n00b! Fight me like a man without Hide!11!!"
Smile to my face.
Lastly, this past SG Base Raid we did, we were attacking a bas,e and frankly, not getting anywhere. None of us could find any of their Dimensional Anchors, we were dropping like flies... it wasn't going well. I kept spawning next to their Med Bay... finally, out of frustration, me (Magician - Fire/Storm Controller), and D-Shift (Kin/Rad Defender) start taking out their Med Bays...
Because they all had to leave the base to respawn, we had enough time to get down the Disruptor Pylons! We would not have won if it wasn't for that...
We then went and had drinks with them in the new Pocket D!
Thanks for eight fun years, Paragon.
Favorite Moment?
Siren's Call, found myself a duo on the hotspot near the base... one controller, one defender. So I creep up, ducking behind mashed bits of street, etc. as it's a good bet the squishies are running some heavy perception buffs being that close to the base. Seems as if they don't see me... so I stick a target on the troller, figuring the defender will bolt. Buildup, then book it over behind the troller, and hit my normal Soaring dragon critical, knocking her down to a fair 25%... but more importantly knocking her down. Two heroes here, so I play it safe... intimidate the downed troller... and it HITS. Perfect, a successful knockdown, and a successful fear... what's more, it seems she used up her breakfrees... and the defender is totally clueless, still working on the longbow at the hotspot.
What to do? Instinct says placate and assassinate, but... it's a controller down to a quarter and the defender doesn't seem to have a clue. So I scrap out the remaining health... one down.
About here's where the defender gets wise... but for some reason decides it's time to fight me rather than bolt. Lucky me (AGAIN!) he's operating on very little endurance due to heals/buffs for the longbow at the hotspot... and soaring just got done recharging. At this point it's fairly obvious that placate-AS is out of the question. Target is aware. So I run up, hit soaring. No critical but... knockdown AGAIN. Instinct takes over, placate and AS. The defender manages to stand up just long enough to greet a ninja blade in the spine.
Twofor...lucky me.
Mine would have to be the time I was in Bloody Bay and I went to A.S. a troller.
I missed her. She was using fly and I had to chase her from the water towers near the villian base all the way to the hero base. Useing focus and SJ only I managed to get the kill just as she got over the wall near the hero hospital.
She did not seem to think it was funny being face planted inches away from the door to her hospital.
I however though the irony was too funny. Becaue this troller had Rad as a secondairy and could heal herself but did not.
I also had another time in Bloody Bay were a foolish blaster was just sitting AFK on a roof top. I ASed him and about 30 seconds later a defender shows up to revive the blaster I let him then killed them both.
My favorite had to be in Siren's Call when I was grabbing presents on my level 37 Katana/Regen scrapper. There were only a few villains in the area and I was pretty casually flying around with my jingle jet and I got jumped a couple times by a certain MM and his cronies. Well, the second time he got me with TP Foe and his brute pummeled me before I had a chance to react. Obviously he figured I was an easy target, because a little while later he tried the same thing again.
This time, though, he was alone and I knew what to expect. As soon as I got ported, he web grenaded me and dropped caltrops, but he didn't know I had Teleport. I hit Dull Pain and Instant healing the instant I appeared and then proceeded to TP next to him hi build up and dropped him like a stone with Soaring Dragon. I had a pretty good laugh over the thing as I flew away.
I haven't done PvP much, but I logged in a week ago, and a dominator and brute from my SG are in Warburg. They are begging me to come with my ice/cold corrupter. I logged into TeamSpeak and replied.
"Um, I don't PvP, but I'll give it a shot."
They are doing pretty well and then a couple of stalkers show up. One stalker (without tp) runs in an AS"s Crabgrass, our dominator.
Then, I hit snowstorm, infrigidate, and benumb as the stalker starts to crawl away. Add sleet, and start blasting. The stalker goes down, and I was hooked. All fun and no debt, I could really get into this!
Later, the stalker realize I'm more of a threat than the others. I get AS'd and then I know I need to change tactics. I start cycling Sleet and Ice Storm while I stand in both rains to keep from getting AS'd. When I'm in a down turn for the cycle, I'm feeling really vulnerable, but instead of running I hold my ground. Sleet comes up and I drop it at my feet, then quickly swing the camera around to check my surroundings.
*Pop* Both stalkers on the other team were right behind me! I was actually laughing I was so giddy at having caught them. They both got away, but seeing their outlines appear and then watching them fade into view and run was a lot of fun.
When one, (... Blade, I wish I could remember!) used the AFK trick to lure me in for the AS of his team mate, I congratulated them both. I felt stupid, but it was a lot of fun.
I did a stalker in CoV Beta, but my favorite PvP moment was after it was live, and I was in my level 50 energy/energy blaster. I don't really go out of my way for PvP, and only visit the zones to do the missions or the "zone thingy".
I was in Bloody Bay because I want a Shivan pet. They don't help me much, but they're so cute and adorable and blue. So, I go around and collect the Meteor stuff. I land at one of the meteors, and an MM with his pack comes after me.
This being Virtue, it was RPed. "Go, my minions! Kill Quickshot!"
I two-shotted him, at which point all his pets fell before they had even gotten to where the robots could be in range to shoot me.
But it's not like I have "Completely slotted with Centrioles." in my bio. Poor MM. I did the rest of the meteors unaccosted.

I've had so many it's hard to say which one is my favorite so here are my most recent ones...
I logged into my old Katana/Regen scrapper and an SS/Invuln brute wanted to 1v1 me in Sirens. I held my ground, and he eventually hit me for 3/4 of my HP with KO Blow. I hit Dull Pain, and eventually downed him without getting one crit.
I'm on my stalker in Sirens when a blaster asks, "Whats that power that makes it so that I can't target stalkers?" I notice he's at 3/4 health, hit Build Up, TP next to him, type Placate in Local, and AS finished him off.
Currently roleplaying, badgehunting, and laughing at the PvPers of CoX. lol, PvP.
Truedusk - Human Rogue
I was in Siren's Call on my Inv/SS Tanker, and my bounty target was currently hiding in the villain hospital. With a full complement of Siren's Call temp powers, I teleported in, and with Stealth and SS I hid in a corner behind some boxes. The NPCs weren't able to see me, but players would. I was hoping to ambush my target as they came out. Unfortunately, a Dominator noticed me, and we began to fight. This luckily lured my target, a Mastermind, out of his hiding. The fight was very long, mostly due to the fact that the Dominator confused me and I kept switching targets. I managed to kill the Dominator, but the Mastermind immediately rezzed them. After a few more minutes of fighting, I'm low on endurance and health, and finally manage to land the killing blow on my target. With next to no health left, I teleported out of the villain base. Luckily the Dominator didn't give chase, because I'm sure they could've finished me off.
Issue 16 made me feel like this.
Warning: This poster likes to play Devil's Advocate.
Siren's Call, a huge bodied Blaster and a Controller are standing on a roof top finishing off some random mob.
I fly up, behind the Blaster, and let them finish off the mob. I build up and Assasin Strike only to miss the Blaster. He and the Controller just stand there. The Blaster was between me and the Controller and both of them didn't notice me !!!!
Almost dumbfounded myself, I stand there untill Hide kicks back in, pop a few reds, and drop the Blaster with AS, and pounce on the Controller before he even realizes what happened.

Wow... Were these, like, Blaster/Controller bots or something? That's an impressive level of Stupid they've got there.
-Quantum "I wish I met more idiots in PvP" Paradox
Okay, wait I thought of another one.
Possibly not my favorite, but extremely satisfying.
The first day the Bloody Bay is open to both heroes and villains. The water outside the villain base is swamped with level 50 Hammi'd out heroes pounding the snot out of the villains.
Eventually the villains are able to retake the waters and I'm swimming along the waters edge, oblivious to the fact that it give my location away. A trash talking level 50 hammi'd MA/SR (name withheld to protect the guilty) comes down and I manage to barely defeat him.
I then realize that I've teamed with him many times in COH and try to strike up a friendly converstation, letting him know who exactly I am.
He then get's rude and whines, like the Spoiled PL'ed Brat he trully is, that Stalkers are too powerfull and are going to get nerfed, calling me names in the process.
Then it happens....
He.....Uses.......An.......Awaken
Directly in front of me.
He's too much of a n00b to realize that I never walked away and that Hide just kicked back in while I was trying to chat with him.
So, I Assasin Strike him.
He then goes into a TIRADE over broadcast about how much of a low life scum I apparently am because how was he suppossed to Rez if I just kept taking cheap shots.
My answer....

There was a guy in Warburg, who was totally built for pvp, a spine/regen who thought he was unstoppable. He was chasing down squishies and ignoring anyone who could actually be a threat. So a brute came up and was fighting him and he killed the brute. So I came up behind him, AS him and finish him off. He immediately goes crazy cussing over broadcast, that stalkers are cheap and should be nerfed. So he comes back from hospital and me and two other stalkers A/S him at the same time. He got so mad he left. It made my day to rid the world of pollution.
