My favorite PVP moment, whats yours?
I'm not sure if this is my favorite, but it sure did make me laugh my butt off.
I was in Warburg a few days ago,and caught a glimpse of a Stalker buddy of mine from one of our coalitions near a Fire Tank. I figured he was stalking the tank, so I decided to say hello. Since I'd been doing missions in Warburg, I happened to have some yellows. I pop a couple and see him about 100 yards from the tank. I land behind him, and hit build-up, which he also hits an instant later. I start my AS just as he starts running towards the tank, and it goes off just as he gets there.
All I can think of is the Tank just standing there, when all of a sudden a stalker falls dead at his feet. Must have been very odd to see. Both me and my Stalker buddy had a good laigh at that one.
Then I killed the Tank for good measure.
I was in Siren's Call as my Blaster and I just entered the zone. I had targeted a hero in front of me and he mysteriously vanished from LoS and I saw him die according to my targeting box. I knew at that point, a stalker was teleporting people right out of the hospital so I hit an accuracy inspiration and toggled on Tactics, and sure enough, I spotted him on the rooftop across the way.
I knew he was coming after me next, so I timed things out and buffed Aim, Build Up, and Blazing Bolt. The Blazing Bolt nailed the Stalker just as he teleported me, and my Bonesmasher was queued up. So when I arrived, I disoriented him with the Bonesmasher and finished him off with Power Thrust that knocked him off the building ledge. That was a solid 4000 bounty.
Hmmm .. My favorite PVP moment.. Thats are hard one..
That would be when they finally realize they shouldn't nerf hide or AS and return the ability to drain all of your endurance and chain hold you with all 3 of my holds in my elect/elect/elect Blaster because they removed Breakfrees from the PVP zones.
Spending a few hours during which:
a) a Perception stat high enough to see all the stalkers in zone at the time
b) Invisibility better than the perception stat of all the stalkers in zone at the time
My experience was summed up in the phrase: Stalkers don't like being stalked.

When my stalker was in Siren's Call, trying to hunt Warrior bosses for the badge, and an Ice blaster came up behind me, hit me once, then flew away. Why is this a favorite moment? Because he he didn't take advantage and kill my toon, and had the decency to send me a tell, apologizing for interrupting my PvE. That's courtesy, something sorely lacking in PvP (in every game, in my experience).

I had a reverse of that. I was on my DM/Inv Scrapper. Attacked a brute while he was killing Warriors. When I noticed that I said in local that I would leave him alone. A few seconds later in the same area an MM and Stalker come buy and we start fighting. As I do that, guess how joins in? The brute. Trying to take advantage of the moment. I have Tactics so I could avoid the AS from the Stalker however with the 3 of them, it just ended up be dodging a lot of shots. Later the stalker and I dueled for about 20 minutes without a defeat on either side.
fav moment?
when i hitted a krappy blaster who likes to stun ppl from high places in the middle of mobs, TP ppl near drones and hide behind them with ET and left it stunned in the middle of a battlefield in SC...colonel comet is the tard if im not mistaken (freedom)

There are no such things as good PvP moments. PvP is a blight, a haven for immaturity and one-upmanship and the self-proclaimed "1337".
The original post illustrates exactly the kind of crap that makes PvP such an unmitigatedly joyful experience for all involved. Most of the rest just reinforce it; the highlights seem to consist of pounding people into the ground who are not able to actually contend with the person doing the pounding.
That really, truly, deeply impresses me with your superiority... yes it does.
[/ QUOTE ]Hahaha, now this is classic! Here we have someone who is stepping up on their superiority soap box demeaning people who PvP and calling PvP in and of itself a haven for immaturity.
I find it very ironic how, in an attempt to show us all how intelligent and mature you are, you resort to name calling and judging people based on game play.....rather hypocritical I must say. Its funny how people ridicule that which they are incapable of or dont understand. If you didnt have such an inferiority complex yourself you would have no need to post your message in this thread demeaning others in an effort to inflate your own ego. Sounds a lot the pot calling the kettle black to me.
LoL i went in to bloody bay with my lvl 15 stalker on my free 14 day account...got him lvl 15 in about 10 hrs of non stop teaming in pocket D. got my assasin strike is 6 slotted 5 damage duels 1 accuracy, build up 3 slotted recharge, hasten 3 slotted recharge, and hide 3 slotted recharge. i went in not knowing howmuch damage i could do so i bought 10 reds so i didnt lose a fight...went up to a tank just walking circles and i clicked all 10 reds and build up then assasin strike...one shotted an invulnerable tank!!!
then i see his scrapper friends coming so i back up till hidden again and i still have those 10 reds up and without buildup i one shotted 2 scrappers and a blaster...that was cool....after that i felt like it was cheating but it was my first stalker so i didnt buy anymore reds...went back to the same tank and brought his health to 50% down with just build up. i backed up and after 3 assasin strikes he was down... his scrapper friends were 2 shotted by me with only buildup and blasters and controllers are one shotted...take into mind i dont buy 10 reds anymore that was just first time to see my damage potential, and i have already been critisized immensely by the invulnerable tank who was suddenly one shotted by me, a lvl 15 stalker..
Uhhuh, I once AS'd an invuln so hard it killed all his alts.
My favorite PvP occured in an open lvl team match. I was in with my lvl 32 Mind Ctrl/Force Field Controller Bionic Baby. The match started and this lvl 50 Scrapper started chasing after all the low level toons and one shotting them. He completely ignored anyone over my level. He was bragging and taunting everyone like he was the most uber hero ever created. Anyway, I saw him coming for me again and connected with my Telekinesis before he could clobber me. He went floating off into a corner and I dropped behind a wall and hid. One of his lvl 50 blaster buddies was staring at him wondering what was going on. He stepped a bit close though and got sucked in as well. HA HA! I, of course, took the opportunity to ride these guys about how this little level 32 troller was owning two level 50s. This guy was crying so hard. Saying I was a wuss for using TK and that the power was broken. It was hilarious to hear him whine after all the bragging he was spouting. I told him he looked pretty tough picking on lvl 20s, but was completely useless against even a lvl 32 controller. I recommended a few respec options for him. He had nothing better to do than listen. For some reason though, he didn't take my advise as a positive means of improvement. I held him there for 12 minutes straight. His buddy was killed and came after me, but he didn't have enough time to find me.
It was awesome!
i fought a spines stalker last friday and he kept 1-shotting pretty much anyone except tanks, scraps, and brutes
he even 1-shotted me two times :/
not that much fun, but it was a learning experience
(im a blade/SR stalker)

In my case, it was a little before I found the toggles to switch communication with villains on.
However, my favorite moments have always been counterpointed with friendly baunter with the players behind the scenes....even if our heroes and alts are spamming "#$# off" at each other.
As for most irritating time...
my Medusae and Medusa's Wrath on Protector were dueling each other in Siren's and pop, along comes a bevy of heroes to "help" and smash down Medusa's Wrath....I'm trying to see if I can rez her or something and along comes a bunch of Villains to help her....
ended up logging off (apologies to Medusa's Wrath)

I have a Ill/Emp troller friend who wanted to Duel my Stalker in the arena. First thing I asked was how he expected to beat me w/o any Perception? He told me his pets would get CM and tell him when I was coming, I asked him if he was sure about that, and he bet me I couldnt beat him once. Game on. I hit the clerk and buy some break frees, like 6 purples, and Damage Insps. As soon as we get in, i see him summoning and buffing his pets, so I hit Hide, Toggled up, and popped all the Def and Damage Insps. I ran up to him as his pets began shooting at me, hit Build Up, hit my hotkey, broadcasting that he is targeted for termination, and one shotted him. The only thing that has been said about it to this day was him asking me "How many purples?" I laughed and Replied "To many"
The very first time I entered a PVP Zone, Bloody Bay I watched a whole team of heros, about 7 or 8 charge the Villain base and about 7-8 villains (including me) rush to hold the line. Half the hero team dropped in seconds but I was watching this tanker wade into the group of us alone and hold his place while his team left to regroup. He stayed and kept fighting. I'd watch his health go down a quater, a half, then back up to full. AS, more than half the health gone, then back up again. All of a sudden people start freezing in their tracks from ice blocks. The Tanker's team has regrouped and come back.
I'm frozen solid but being ignored, they're concentrating on a couple of Brutes. I unfreeze, go into hide, AS a controller I spot, she doesn't drop. I pull back out of the fight, go into hide again, and stalk around. AS the same controller and finish her off. I take a couple of shots from a Blaster, but speed out of the fight with Super Speed.
The tanker is still toe-to-toe with the majority of villains, he's not dropping, he's not stopping, it's like watching an elephant being attacked by a swarm of ants. They're all stinging him to death, but one stomp kills a bunch.
I speed back into the fray, hidden, but the hero's know there's a stalker somewhere. They're all jumping around randomly, trying to avoid the AS they know is comming. I finally catch another controller with the AS, it doesn't kill her, but they were prepaired for me. They all agro me at once and I recieve a half dozen controller and blaster ranged hits and drop like a ton of bricks.... the Tanker is still going. Awesome first pvp experience for me.
Hmm, had an interesting time in BB once myself. Chased a stalker or something with my DM/Regen.
Ended up in a bee's nest of villains, spent about a minute jumping around until an animation caused me to linger a bit too long as I hit a caltrop patch....heh, once they got me locked down, I went down fast.

Me and a friend (both stalkers) were 'trollin around BB and we hooked up with another stalker and a brute. this had to have been barely a month into the game, and my toon was lvl 19 or some such, as was my buddys. well, this level 50 tank that was just dominating everyone alongside his defender was perched on the rooftop, I suppose he was staring down the guy or something, maybe waiting on the brute to make a move and all 3 of us surrounded then as'd the guy.
apparently a tank cannot stand up to 3 bu'd as's. muaha
Using my Stalker (Froid Boules) I saw a team of 8 heroes standing together in Siren's Call. I super Jumped down next to their healer planning on hitting and running, then Build Up+AS...BAM Dead, got out of there just in time for them to turn around and see their healer dead. Then im standing on top a building watchign them right when i regain hidden status and AS is brought back. She uses an awaken, she got up stunned i was thinking "Should i do it" I hopped down AS'ed her dead again, got it handed to me after that but the sweet feel of a double Ownage, is the most satisfying thing ever
Id have to say that my favorite moment in pvp was in BB whith my merc/ff mm.
I was teaming with my two friends and i come up on this defender and controller. my friend AS the defender and i get my pets to kill the controller with the help of my corupter friend. the troller starts to complain about how the heroes want no trouble and that the villians need to stop picking on them. She said (the troller) that we were cowards and we should face her in a 1 on 1 battle. so me and the corupter go in front of the hero base where she told us to meet her and my friend the corupter starts to fight her for the 1on1. My friend dies and now its my turn. I already have my pets summoned and at the ready and we start. i keep knocking her back with my force bolt while occasionaly joining my pets in lighting her up. i kill her and we decide to get my stalker friend to fight her. by then her other teammate joins in watching and unknowingly my friend AS this inocent defender.he goes down in a matter of seconds while not listening to our pleas to stop. my corupter friend and the troller decide to fight once more but another hero comes and tries to kill the three of us. we kill him and decide on the team chat that we let the controller live too long. With the suggestion "lets jump her" we kill her in no time. she starts yelling and complaining again and we explain that we have a reputation to uphold. a couple minutes later i got disconnected and i went to bed satisfied that night.

I am an experienced man.
I can only say fighting an arial battle (with a jetpack temp power, so massive end drain) and I had just run out of end so everything shut off and I started falling, well I got a nice end tick just at the right time and I hit air superiority and knocked the other guy right out of the sky. It was pretty funny, he hit the ground before I did, lol.
Haven't pvp'd much, and definately don't have a winning record, but that was a pretty funny fight.
Enter Siren's Call and my bounty is at the flight ceiling hovering. I have only SJ. Doh! I proceed to team and get some bounty for an SO. My bounty is still WAY up there in the sky. I leave Sirens to clear an old mission arc of mine. I get a jet pack temp power. I return to Siren's and guess who is my bounty once again. It was a peace bringer that had gone afk for hours up there. Needless to say, it wasn't the fall that killed him. I still have that jetpack just in case he tries to pull that stunt again. I also have a respec saved for when the jetpack expires. Friendly skies my [censored].

Around the time CoV launched, I was giving Bloody Bay a look with my peacebringer. Did a little fighting and eventually decided to stand aside in dwarf form and watch. Three stalkers and a brute attacked. At this point, villains were very poorly enhanced compared to heroes. They made an effort to punch through my resistances and heals but couldn't sustain enough damage to manage it. Eventually, some heroes joined in and the entourage built from there. I had just marked the battle ground. The villains ignored me except the occasional newcomer and it went on until some merc masterminds attacked me and got the kill. I don't remember what happened after that.
My CoV took over a week to arrive, so my first experiences with PvP were with my main on CoH, a DM/Regen scrapper.
I spent an enjoyable afternoon in a running battle with the villains not far outside their base in BB. Eventually enough of them arrived to push us back to the beach. I see a stalker disappear into hide not far from me, so I pretend I haven't seen him and start beating up on a freak minion nearby, knowing I'm effectively painting an "AS Me!" sign on my back.
Sure enough, I see the expected words pop-up above my head, and about 3/4 of my health disappears. Target nearest, touch of fear, siphon life, laugh, and proceed to unload while keeping them feared.
My favourite ever moment however was quite recently on my Mind/NRG Dominator. A global friend was in a large team in SC, and I decided to see what PvP was like for a Dom with a decent team backing me up.
Quite soon after I arrived, a Spines/Regen scrapper decided I would be an easy kill and SJ'd down next to me. Terrify (I do so love fear effects) left him unable to respond as I used total focus and bonesmasher to drop integration, and followed up with a powerboosted dominate. At which point (a few short seconds after he arrived) I see him yelling for help (local or broadcast presumably). A few of his team-mates respond, but it also tells the rest of my team "easy prey" and I manage to finish him off about a second before his rescuers take me down, only to fall before my own re-inforcements.
I didn't feel particularly gimped in PvP after that
