Dude, griefing is going AFK in your own damn hospital in Siren's Call, keeping anyone from collecting bounty on you. The MM deserved what he got, and even though I've played many villains in my time, I thank you for doing what you did.

You know, I understand it's a difficult concept to grasp, but sometimes people *do* go AFK to deal with things from RL....not -just- to keep you from collecting your precious bounty.

There was a Scrapper in Siren's Call who didn't seem to want to fight anyone, just try to lure them into the drones.

So after playing cat and mouse for a bit, the drones never getting me and me never getting him, I took off. Decided that he'd leave eventually and, though I had him as my Most Wanted bounty, it would reset soon enough. I happened to go past the hero entrance a bit later, though, and I saw something happen.

A Brute jumped into the gate area, taking a swing at the Scrapper. The drones, of course, melted him quickly. He was followed by a Dominator, who was also melted. I saw a Corruptor about to jump in, and decided I had to take my shot as well.

The Corruptor threw a couple attacks that hit the Scrapper, taking him down to about 60% health or so, and then was melted by the drones. I had hovered above and dropped down right next to him, hit Build Up and AS. STABBY, killed him just before the drone had recharged and turned on me. I managed to type out "SO VERY WORTH IT!!" in local as the drone locked me down and disintegrated my body.

My favorite PvP moment was in Sirens Call with my AR/Traps corruptor. I found a fire tank standing alone in the upper corner of the map so i challenged him(to make sure he wasn't AFK). He accepted, we did the Ready! thing and then charged right at each other.

I hit flight and dropped a patch of caltrops on him and hit him with Air superiority. He didn't flip... So i hit him with web nade and Then he hit me fire sword, combust, and threw a burn patch up to break the immob from the web nade. Still flying i dropped my Acid mortar, poison trap, and then an ignite patch on him while he bashed me with fire attacks. Got me down to half health before the trap went off.

The patch was doing nothing until poison trap dropped his toggles. Soon as i saw him choking it whapped him with AS again and laid into him with all the attacks i had on me and dropped another ignite patch. It killed him.

Killed a Fire Tank with ignite, oh the irony.

My favourite PvP moment?

8 kills on CuppaJo on test.

Hahahahahahahaha.

Spines apparantly do a number of Fire blasters.

/e dance

Edit: This was with the arena testing for I4.

With my stalker?

Having an AS go off on a Mastermind 500 yards away.

Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose! Die and be free of pain or live and fight your sorrow! Now is the time to shape your stories! Your fate is in your hands!

Oh, and when it's happened to me that my bounty goes AFK in the hospital, in every single case, it's also happened to other people on my team who had the same most wanted. So when one does it, they're not just being rude and obnoxious to one player, they're likely being rude and obnoxious to a bunch of players. Worse, on several occasions, it's happened a few times with players who were there for an hour or longer, either using a autoclicker or manually nudging their character enough to keep them from autologging. I remember one night in particular, my team and a whole bunch of others fired off somewhere around 20 or 25 petitions (one each, of course) to get the person kicked.

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.

Aww poor baby Someone still sour from his recent PVP ego spanking?

Anywho My favourite PvP moment was with my main energy/energy blaster when I entered a PvP zone for the first time. It was Warburg and I decided to do a little roving around and I ended up finding out about the super-nando awesome missiles.

I'm always excited by new and shiny things so I went into the web. Now, I saw a Elec blaster flash past in the tunnel but thought nothing of it - because he was a hero and I was new to the PvP zone thing. I get a scientist and start to make my way out with him when I see an elec blast connect with my back but no damage. When I turn around the elec blaster unleashes a second attack that hurts me a little.
So I end up asking in local "What are you doing?! Do you mind?!" And he's like "My Scientist." And fires off another blast that takes off a quarter of my health. Now, very few things really annoy me, but trying to steal my scientist because he can't kill the mobs himself is one of them. So I hit him with Stun and then fired of a point blank BU/AIM Snipe blast that leaves him in the red.

The Elec blaster takes off back into the tunnel. Of course I wasn't going to let him get away - I was all vindictive. So I chased him through the tunnels into this main room where he flies over a mob with a scientist and his body is quickly sent falling to the ground - where it lands RIGHT next to the still trapped scientists feet. Not being able to resist it I typed "No, that's your scientist." and flew away laughing. It ended with him yelling stuff over broadcast about griefing and cheating because he got debt. It was his fault he shouldn't have ran.

My fav moment is when I was playing with my blaster eng/eng in SC and we were outnumbered and it was my blaster and these 2 other healers. So they buffed me with CM and Ra and health and invisibility, and this stalker send tells me to fly up high so he can AS me and I saw his tell from like 40 yrds away. So I jumped right behind him, then I did BU >Bone>punch = dead. He got sooo mad that he called his other 5 buddies, 3 stalkers 1 dom and 1 brute. I stood there in 1 spot and killed all 5 of them. I felt so good, but yeah I couldnt have done it without my healer friend.

My favorite PvP moment was actually with my SS/EA brute. There were 3 stalkers trying to gain up on me so I clicked overload and watched them all miss with there AS. That was great. They started to get pretty mad so I killed 2 of them but the other one left before I could get him.

You know, I'm pretty sure that works both ways. Why don't *you* logout and back in to reset your bounty if it's that big of a deal and you can't wait the 15 minutes for the (supposedely) AFK person's auto-log to kick in, hmm?

Learn some patience.

My most recent favorite pvp moment:

The heroes are at the villain base in Warburg, basically schooling us since its 3 villains v 15 heroes. I turned on overload and did my thing, then I went into the hospital to wait for the crash.

As I'm in there, a MA/SR scrapper enters the hospital (dunno how he got past the drones), and sees me and starts swinging, missing me. I try to hit him, and he has elude on, hehe. As I start to leave the hospital, HE crashes from elude. I then proceed to Placate>BU>AS>ET>TF him, and he goes down. 5 seconds after he dies, I have my crash. I have to say that it was quite lucky.

Well, there are plenty but one of my fav actually happened last night in Siren's Call. I killed a Stalker with my TA/A defender. Yes, my TA/A DEFENDER. This was a very specifica set of circumstances. He was using SS as a travel power and was NOT regen, also, the Oil Slick atually ignighed for once. If any of those three things were different I coudln't have done it. I caught him waiting alone for his hide to kick in and hit him with my acid arrow prefenting him from hiding and kept hitting him with it when it recharged. He never got back into hide. After that I dropped Glue arrow on him to keep him there, dropped Oil Slick and lit it up with Blazing Arrow which prevented him from ASing me after placating me and it took a good chunck of his life down. He was Spines so he was hitting me even though I was keeping out of his melee range but I eventully worked him down by continually throwing down my debuffs and keeping him there. I have to say I was quite surpised. But as you can see, I'm pretty wreckless in PvP to even have attempted it.

I caught a mid-20 level-ish Stalker near the Hero base couple of days ago. He was one of a group that was gunning for me for me being one of those who like to use tp-foe into NPCs as tactic. Anyway I discovered him just as he was beginning the AS animation next to me, and I immediately popped him with a hold, which interrupted the AS and also slowed him down. Being a stalker, he got off a super jump and began to jump away. But just as he jumped, I threw a web grenade at him. Slowed and immobilized, he landed smack in the middle of a group of Tsoo. As he got beaten to death by the tsoo inkmen, I watched from a distance and laughed

Considering this particular deathdrop from my favourite Siren's Call 'battleground' (which happens to be the tallest freakin' building in Siren's Call) actually started out as a REALLY long battle, I'll just cut to the end.

Both nearly out of endurance and health, a Kat/Regen and I (MA/Regen Stalker) dove off the building. Yes, at the same time and in the same direction. I'm almost sure we had the same thought, too. "If I fall off, no big. I'll take the time back up to recover." Noticing we'd gone off the same way, we continued to launch attacks. It was awesome, fighting on the way down to our deaths (it was only 2 attacks, each, but it's freakin' cool to see). After hitting the ground, he managed what could've been the final blow... but he missed. A Thunder Kick to the jaw ended the fight.

--------------------

On the hero side of things, my MA/Regen Scrapper killed 3 Stalkers at the same time. I'm still confused, to this day, as to what they were or if they even had any defenses up, because deaths like that shouldn't happen.

After visiting Warburg, I decided I wanted to have a little fun... but no luck! Having sat in the middle of Siren's Call, alone, for about 10 minutes without any sign of action from the Villains, I got bored and fired off my Bio missile (figuring I'd get suicidal and rush into the Hot Spot that was nearby.

I hit Dull Pain, Instant Healing, popped a handful of Lucks, and then bolted into the mass of Arachnos troops, not knowing there were Stalkers nearby (as I didn't care to grab IR Goggles in this trip). Shots went off like wildfire and it was CHAOS. So I hit Focus Chi and then Dragons Tail. BAM! I see THREE Stalkers appear out of nowhere, landing on their rears. "Holy crap!" was the first thing through my head. I hit the jackpot! As they were getting up, I launched both my Chem and Nuke missiles. All that remained were, like... two Tarantulas. The Stalkers didn't say a word and I remained quite stunned at my luck. After finishing off the NPCs, I logged out. I didn't want to tempt fate (nor the rage of three angry Stalkers).

I go through PVP moments everyday, the best is when an ill controller or a mind controller thinks confusing me will cause all my henchmen to go wild, but the best is when some tank thinks hes all that and attacks me thinking im an easy kill, then i poison trap him, detoggle him, kill him, and he still doesnt realize he was detoggled so he breaks into panic and leaves.

Oooooh I've got two.

1.) There was a team of heroes in Siren's call. Could tell it was an anti-stalker team (although, what kind of team isnt? ) cause of all the PBAoEs on about 3 different people. The blaster was my bounty. They were chatting over broadcast for who knows what reason, and saying things like shes safe as long as she sticks in the PBAoEs. So, I go on top of the building above the team, TP foe the blaster and AS her. There was a lot of cussing on broadcast that day.... although more of "What the <bleep!> just happened???"

2.) This empathy defender was comming to the oil rig in Siren's Call. Once again, chatting on broadcast.... not sure why. So I over hear them talking about TPing his teammates to the oil rig. He is about to TP the tanker, when I get up right behind him and AS.

Good times. Gooooooooooood times.

A similar thing happened on a team with my friend's Defender. Cept we weren't talking in Broadcast and the Stalker wasn't that lucky. =P

As my friend was TPing me to the mission point, he got ASed... BUT he also pulled off the TP. To the Stalker's surprise, he was now face-to-face with an Ice/Ice Blaster and Empath/Dark Defender. Things did not end well for that Stalker.

Too late
Favorite moment?
In Siren's call. Team was just almost insta wiped by a Dom, a brute, and two Stalkers. They were coordinated and timed things to take us all out at relatively the same time.
I was engaging an Arachnos boss at said time. Only one of them came for me, one of the Stalkers. Was a grand battle for the hotspot. He went to AS me, I dropped a Chem and a Nuke. He started to turn around when the chem hit, but diddn't get 2 steps before the nuke killed him.

All the Arachnos in the hotspot died, all the FC were buffed. The rest of that team ran. or died to super NPC's. Not sure which, but they were good, so I'm guessing they ran.

Another time, in Warburg, I was up against 8 Arachnoids, and had JUST hit Soul Drain when I took an AS to the back. Hit Dark Regeneration (It IS what I hover over after a Soul Drain to a large mob..) and went back to full, then dove over the railing to the lower level, popping ALL my insps.
Then I jump back up and actually HIT the guy with Midnight Grasp (I can count on one hand the number of times it has actually immob'd players) and KILLED him with Shadow Maul.

If you're wondering what happened to the arachnoids, they died while I was fighting the stalker. CoF, OG, Death Shroud, THAT MANY INSPS, yeah.

You can't spell Slaughter without laughter

All your gonna do is just farm behemoths anyways.

Not a stalker one but I'll share my fav.

I was in BB with my Em/Da Brute challenging scrappers to duels. Won some, loss some but I never get pissed about dieing unless I intentionally am TP'ed into purple mobs. I decide it's time to get back to getting xp and start flying to a pvp mission door. As I am flying low through the water this Stone/Stone tanker jumps down and starts attacking me and then runs off. I give chase skimming across the water till he leads me back to his friends, a Mind/Storm controller and a Empathy/Sonic defender. Now normally these two backing up a tanker might be a problem but I thought "Could be fun . . ". I jump in and start attacking the Tank . . . I save my bigger attacks and BU while building fury hitting him. The controller keeps edging me out of melee range of the tank when he get's low on HP's (damn hurricane lol) and the Empathy Defender stops plinking me with his sonic attacks and heals the tank. This goes on for awhile till my hp's get low and my Fury is cranked so I BU+Dark Regen off of them and turn and kill the Defender in 2 hits. I continue to hit the tank as hard as I can before his healing buddy get's back . . . . the controller starts using O2 Boost like mad trying to keep the tank alive . . . runs out of endurance, drops Hurricane. I BU and Total Focus and Bone Smash this guy into oblivion before he get's Hurricane back up. Tank tries to run away but he needs to turn off Rooted to do it so I just kept using Air Superiority on him to knock him down . . . he get's up SJ's away but unknown to him my Total Focus animation didn't go off with me flying and he was SJing into the Hero base as he died in mid-air and crashed.

I whistle a happy tune and go back to my mission

Kudos to them though they put up one hell of a fight. If a scrapper or a blaster had been there I would have been in a little more trouble.

There are a lot of favorite moments but one that stands out is the first Dev and player PvP match that took place on the test server.

Cuppa was there and Vivvian I think. Anyway, it was about 60 v 60 and it all took place in the small office space. Cuppa said she had four rows of status effects on her most of the match and had to use her "GM Button" just to know what it was like to stand up. I used my DDD when Howling Twilight had a Mag 30 aoe stun and I had it 6 slotted for rech with perma hasten.

The madness that took place is hard to remember and yet I'll never forget it. A truly epic fight even if the teams weren't balanced in levels. No other match has come close in terms of sheer chaos.

He's to hoping we can do another.

Using that same tanker, I later fought Pohsyb's Ill/Kin controller...and lost. He timed my crash...

[/ QUOTE ] I used the same tactic to kill a BS/Regen in Warburg with my DM/SR. After literally 10 minutes of fighting, I finally found the moment when IH and DP cycled, hit Elude for the endo boost and put him down. He couldn't believe it. He screemed. Truth was he was 34 I think and I was 40. Don't think I would have killed him if he had been 40. Extra slots in IH or DP might have been too much.

...oh wait...this is a stalker thread...in that case...

I took my lvl 34 Claws/Regen into War to fight a notorious EM/EA Stalker. Those on Triumph may know who. After learning how to react to the AS+ET combo, I was able to defeat him a number of times. My lvl 40 DM/SR, however, had no chance. Never got a single counter attack....like six in a row...i think the seventh time ET might have missed.
