    Healing Flames heal scale of 1.75 has not changed since I3. I didn't bother going back further than that -- a year is a good period of time.

    The AT mod for Tankers self heal has not changed in that time period, either. It is still 1.5. Brutes Self Heal mod is the same -- 1.5.

    A level 30 Tanker using an unenhanced Healing Flames gets 178.5 health. With 2 SO's, that would increase to 296.31. 178.5 is 17.5% of a Tankers health at that level. 296.31 is 29% of a Tankers health at that level.

    Brutes percentages would be the same, though the numerical value of the heals would be lower due to brutes lower max health.

    IMO, the worst thing about HF is that you can't attack till the animation is finished unlike Reconstruction. It's kind of counter productive to continue to be damaged for 3 secs or so while you are trying to heal.

    Temperature Protection: How bout this power does what the name implies and resists cold slows? Crazy, I know.

    Very much agree.

    I haven't posted on this thread before but I was following it because I have a Necro/Poison that I am hoping to PvP with at some point...or at least give it a shot.

    Anyway, good work getting the Dev's attention, Concern.
  6. There are a lot of favorite moments but one that stands out is the first Dev and player PvP match that took place on the test server.

    Cuppa was there and Vivvian I think. Anyway, it was about 60 v 60 and it all took place in the small office space. Cuppa said she had four rows of status effects on her most of the match and had to use her "GM Button" just to know what it was like to stand up. I used my DDD when Howling Twilight had a Mag 30 aoe stun and I had it 6 slotted for rech with perma hasten.

    The madness that took place is hard to remember and yet I'll never forget it. A truly epic fight even if the teams weren't balanced in levels. No other match has come close in terms of sheer chaos.

  7. I just love how when I die in the arena and respawn, the only active power that I can rely on and has any affect is Quickness.

    Yeah! Good ol’. reliable Quickness.

  8. After playing CoH since May 2004 both my brothers will be leaving when ED goes thru. I haven’t decided yet if I’ll continue playing but my account has stopped billing.

    Sorry, States. I have very, very little confidence that you or your team will fix SR or defense. The “buff” is a start but honestly, I can picture you and your team dusting off your hands saying “Well, now that SR is fixed let’s move on.”

    It’s difficult to imagine that SR could possible get worse but ED does just that. And good Lord, you may as well have called ED “Women wear red dresses.” It’s just as accurate. Just FYI, the only defense SR has that’s worth slotting in PvP is a 6 slotted elude with membranes (not that is does much good). SR *IS* 6 slotted Elude. After ED, SR *IS* 6 slotted Elude with 3 rech and 3 Def. This game has been out 18 months (?) and your combat system and the SR set remain broken. I hope you can understand the level of disappointment/ frustration I feel.

    Toggles? Slotting toggles is a placebo in PvP. Do you even realize this?

    PvP is the only thing holding my interest and that is waxing due to the exploits, useless powers and broken combat system that take so long to be recognized and addressed. Add to that the entire game is doing a 180 so where do these fixes sit on the waiting list?

    It’s the imbalances that guide people into making the FotM builds and your work making different power sets is wasted. I have none of the FotM builds and I’ll tell you if I see another Ice/EM or Spines/Regen whirlwinding like a jackass for 10 min I am going to vomit on my keyboard.


    I strongly suggest that before you go trying to put icing on the cake, you make sure there is actually a cake to put it on.

    All of your suggestions are good and I agree with most but you must keep in mind that Rag is a “concept” toon. It was difficult for me to envision this guy made of earth running around at mach 10 from Siphon Speed or Super Speed.

    I do have my reasons for every single power choice and have first hand experience with all the kinetics powers but, around lev 40 I started to narrow down what was useful to me and still fit the concept. I actually had Air Sup. at one time.

    Believe it or not, if I was to start Rag from lev 1 again (he’s been 50 for a while now) I would still pick Stone Prison only because it looks really cool in combo with Fossilize.

    Anyway, I hope you didn’t take my post as a min/max guide. It certainly wasn’t meant that way. Just wanted to share my I5 build and hope some people get some enjoyment out of seeing the diversity in slotting and power choices.
