Good afternoon.

I have always had trouble with controllers. I know I want an endgame controller but I have never been able to find a combination I like. I have recently started a fire/rad and at level 6 it is underwhelming, but I feel some need to continue and i am not sure why.

Is it a terrible combination? Am I fooling myself? Will I be able to solo an Elite Boss? Any endgame Fire/Rads have any tips bout what they enjoy most about their build?

Wow, I'm so shocked. I put whatever costumes I want on my characters and I think that my personality influences what costume items I pick, not my gender...

Claws is a horrible set for PvP.

I love it for PvE though and can't wait to have a claws/fire brute.

I will probably level a little bit on Sunday night but I have plans all weekend so I will basically miss the whole thing

I have been trying out this combo recently. I am really enjoying it (35 atm) and cant wait to see what it does with IOs

Nin is my favourite stalker set of them all. I have three stalkers with it and it is my first choice always. It just has everything a stalker could need in my opinion. Willpower wasnt bad, I enjoyed it. Energy and dark are awful, SR is so-so and Regen felt more like a scrapper than a stalker (nin blade/regen is the ultimate in scrappaliciousness)

Claws set is horrible for PvP. It's okay in PvE.

The reason it is horrible in PvP is due to the damage nerfs + being completely lethal damage, which is highly resisted by nearly everyone. The knockdown works on only the newest PvPers.

The buff to evis DOES NOT make up for anything

avoid at all costs if you want to pvp

sonic is becoming flavor of the month at the moment

ar would be the least common primary

psi is all over the place in pvp

I acknowledge Knockback bothers some people. Personally, I find it to be a staple of comic book combat and lots of fun. "Chasing down" your target takes all of a second-and-a-half, and Knockback enhanced Dragon's Tail on a Scrapper is downright hilarious.

However, given that KB isn't that well designed in this game (thus the commonplace hatred of it) it's a perfectly valid point of view to hold. Me? I prioritize fun over numbers and efficiency. For others numbers and efficiency are what's most fun, so that too is valid.

Perhaps KB could be reworked in this game to make it desirable. It's desirable in PvP, but in PvE it could use some help to get more people to use it. It's a comic book staple, and deserves a second look. But that's for another thread.

In short, MA is a good second choice for those who already have umpteen EM Stalkers, and it has thematics that make it something special. Every Stalker/Scrapper player is well advised to take a second look at it with an open mind.

it was fun. for awhile there i loved MA, but it got old and tedious. there is only so many places i can kick my enemies into before it stops being funny and i actually start counting my lucky stars when the kb doesnt proc

try ioing for ranged def to help with the holds

MAs spend most of their time chasing their enemies around.

Plus doing a flip in the air and bouncing off of someones head when you finish them off is just NOT as satisfying as splitting their head in half with golden dragonfly or crushing their head into their neck with total focus.
