Wow, a group that actually has the Supercomputer. Never really thought about buying that thing yet. We have a full, raidable base and had thoughts of buying the next plot size, but we decided to save up for a mega plot down the road. Anyone else doing the same?

still i dont see people taking advantage of decorative item more. if you want a desk like batmans you can make one and have moniters on itand other things.

Well a with a little more Prestige coming in, the Voodoo Dolls have added a NEW --> Throne Room and meeting hall (plus another Telepad as well). Our architect, Lord Dahak/Spartan has done a simply fantastic job on it. Thank you!!

What you're looking at is crafted items.

The things on the wall is actually a single Monitor Bank (overpriced control item). The desks+monitor on the left is the Mission Computer (gives out SG missions).

Well, I guess the base is good enough now for a quick runthough.

When you enter the base, you are in a nice waiting room. (other angle)

From here, you can access the hospital or you can visit the workshops.

Our workshops have an attached arcane workshop ( alternate view ) to facilitate trade with our colaitioned arcane SG.

The control room is next to the workshops and provides considerable control as well as a meeting space for our SG. I apologize that my huge body is blocking the view of the conference table here. :/ I'll try to go back and fix some of these pictures (and take them in first person view) later. You can see the energy room next to the control room in that shot at least. What you can't see is the reserve fuel tank our SG has to keep the generator running.

All of that other stuff is there to pretty much just support our teleport chamber, which even has a teleport research area. We have a second teleport chamber, but half of it is just used for storage.

Overall it's not a bad base. If necessary, I could make it raid worthy too, but at the moment our SG is not planning to get IoPs. Perhaps after some testing of scheduled raids on the test server we'll reconsider.

Ours is a minimalistic base - one room! One thing I'd like to change is the portal, it's kinda huge when you're going just for a lounge area in a tiny supergroup (3 or 4 weekend warriors, mostly).

We do however have a small study area in one corner, complete with refreshments (ok, one refreshment).

In the other corner is the planning area - a couch sufficient enough for all 4 SG members and a chair for a guest. There's even a balcony for VIPs, and a minifridge is provided as well.

The opposite corner is the relaxation area (no pets allowed, please walk them outside the base .

The final corner is dedicated to the ah, facilities. They are surrounded by bookshelves for obvious reasons You can see it in this base overview shot.

All items are stock, of course. We did notice a dearth of coffee tables and regular fridges, please remedy this lack

Greetings fellow heroes!

Donny Chaps here, executive assistant of the Freedom Squad, located on the Victory Server. As part of our growing public relation efforts, I've been authorized to post these photographs of the new Freedom Squad HQ. While our control and power systems have not yet been brought on-line (...and won't be for some time I would wager...), I hope you enjoy your visit.

Your 6,000 small column lights of doom system? How are you supposed to keep that moody evil atmosphere with enough light to get a suntan indoors?

I love your ops room. That looks awesome.

BTW, does anybody know when the lighting features are going to be looked at? It seems like half of them don't actually produce any light. This is especially annoying one stuff like the recessed tech lights, because those would be perfect for my base if they only put out some light. :/

Unfortunately, bases are too costly for small family sized SuperGroups, even with inviting all our Alts. The bases seem more geared toward those with huge supergroups. It would be nice if dynamic duos could affor bases, too. I don't want to raid or be raided, I just want the workshop and the medical center more than anything. Especially the medical center.

There's a thread for that two doors down.

Well, the statement was off topic, but I'll address it anyway...

You can afford them, just not quickly.

You can easily decorate a base quickly and cheaply...even if you have a small, casual group. But for functional things like teleporters and medical bays it might take you months to afford eveything you need, depending on how much you play. But what's wrong with that? It takes several months to a year to level a single character to 50 unless you power-level, play around the clock, or cheat. So, why shouldn't it take months for a small SG to be able to build a functional base? Seems reasonable to me.

I started a small villain group on Virtue (The Scurvy Dogs) a couple of weeks ago and have already placed the Energy, Control, and Work rooms. I've also bought the first control device for it...and we only have several active members so far and several alts. It might take us a few weeks to get it powered up and a worktable. It may also take us awhile to get the desirable things like teleporters and medical, but we're in no great hurry. It's a goal to work towards.

Our base is still very much under construction. But, we do have our game room set up, with some neat wall art by our very own Stone of Amn

Game Room

Jagged Force (? the group whose pics are on their news page) had the nicest looking over all though the one long room layout is something I don't like at all.

Several others had some nice looking individual rooms couple arcane libraries an such looked good.

I'm just a stickler for design. If we could place doors or have it drop down then I'd have a tech base with a heavy metal door that leads to a cave tunnel that opens into an arcane area but I really don't like combining the tilesets for both in the same base.

It just looks too mish-mashed when your walcing and suddenly is switches from titanium plates on the floors an walls to stone. If maybe there were intermediate tiles that had the look of torn up/peeled back steel panels revealing stone that existed there or something like that then it wouldn't be so ugly.

But seeing like an arcane base with a plasma tv in it...not a big fan. Just odd to have this mystical base and a corporate conference table headed by a 50" plasma tv...maybe if there were some arcane looking versions of these everyday items like chairs an such then it wouldn't be so bad, arcane meeting stone (aka conference table), etc etc

But nice work none the less its no ones fault except the devs that we don't have more selections or more complimentary stuff. But I'd like to think that stuff is coming sooner than "soon" (aka less than a year)
