Ummm... did you not read all the info provided?
[/ QUOTE ]
Ahh sorry, I didn't bother to read the press release, its not often a company puts more info in the press release than is featured on the first page of their website...
Kinda poor web design there, that whole paragraph from the press release should be in big CoH font on that first page... -
Seems like a bit of a cop out as far as side switching goes.
You can be a "villain" in the Praetorian universe (basically being a good guy in a planet where evil is the dominant norm is considered being "evil" there) or a "good guy" ala follow Tyrant...
So we can go there and be "bad" but we come back to our universe and are still "good" if we're a hero?
From the trailer it sounds like that's the case...
Instead of a hero going crazy and trying to blow up the city we go to another universe where saving kittens stuck in trees is evil...
And do you guys have a totally separate team working on this? Or is this another one of those things I have to pay for twice like the "Booster packs"? -
Well like I said at least twice the the mission was laid out as I had designed it so the map obviously was capable of handling the design...except when it went live it suddenly wasn't.
Try it if you like, Powerhelm's Nightmare. The map is a large abandoned warehouse from CoV. -
Ok, the following I've encountered in Architect mode:
I can place a glowie in the "Front" of a mission, a Boss in the "Middle" and a Boss at the "Back"
I tested it 3 times.
test 1: The glowie isn't appearing in the mission.
Test 2 and 3 work fine.
I publish and the following has occured:
The glowie in the "Front" is now about 2/3 of the way or more through the mission (I actually found it past the boss I set to "Back" of mission) and the boss set in this mission as middle is in the front...
Also, for another arc I have 5 missions and around 99% file size. I published it just fine, then when I went to test it one more time through the test mode "Test" was greyed out as was "Publish". I've tried adding and deleting things and there has been no change in that aspect. I even tried unpublishing it in the hopes that that had something to do with it.
In the same mission my souvenir story window (around 2000 of the 3000 in size) doesn't open it just rapidly flickers and attempting to edit results in the cursor jumping all over the story and deleting things.
Any ideas?
Anyone else experiencing these issues?
BTW, Why does text take up so much space in these files? I wrote a souvenir story that took up twice as much space as a custom boss... -
Really disappointed with this zone I gotta say. It's just, boring, plain and empty. There's a tf you need 6 people for. Then that's really it other than the 2 badges...
They could have put in some gladitorial arena where you could go in arena style matches against NPCs, other players and/or mythical creature npcs (manticores, cyclops, medusas, etc)
There was a lot they could have done with this zone but in the end all they did was make a big waiting room for a TF. It has one text filled run about mission arc and some repeatable missions that are good for nothing more than getting inf/prestige and the Centurion badge...they could have at least made a merit system or something here and made the roman costume pieces unlockable via numerous repeatable mission runs.
This just feels like an unfinished zone with a finished TF and they didn't wanna wait on the rest. They could have placed Imperius in the midnighter club and totally left out cimerora until the next issue if that's all it's good for, which it appears it is. -
[ QUOTE ]
By 'they,' do you mean the Devs? Because then that's the first time I heard that.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not the first time I've heard it. They've repeatedly said that any subsiquent "E-ATs" would be tied to some form of unlocking other than simply leveling up. This would not only dissuade people from powerleveling in order to unlock the "E-AT" but also allow lower level people the opportunity to use an "E-AT" without spending 100+ hours in game just to get it.
Probably a long story arc or something akin to a TF/SF... -
Oldeb's link needs to be removed. On my PC clicking it once results in a neverending stream of new windows being opened up showing the post by Castle. Whether this was his intention or not I don't know.

The positive side of me:
Non-specific rousing "speech" that says absolutely nothing other than "Yer gonna love this year!" Isn't this the same thing they've been telling us every year?I keep playing so it must be partly true for me at least
I look forward to CoH on the PS3 and another Paid Expansion to bring graphics up to that level.
Negative Side of me:

For those who are complaining that they "haven't got anything" in the last year, how about IOs? Rikti invasions? Dual Blades? C'mon.
[/ QUOTE ]
IOs = Inf/Time sink, require farming either for inf to buy high cost rare salvage and or the recipes you use them in. Now gold farming sites have a reason to pester us even more than ever before.
Rikti Invasion = I was in beta, we had one of these then too. Aside from a temporary event there's really nothing spectacular about it now except raiding the mothership and Vanguard accessories.
Dual Blades = Yay, yet another blade/slicing set! -
They could have just done this: Make the wedding gift mission matter. Give it a badge and a 24-hour duration temp TP power. Created a special instance zone, maybe a sneak peak at a zone already designed and coming into the game?? Then there wouldn't have been mobs or complaining. Just make an announcement on global stating that event was starting, activate your power to enter. Bam. Done.
Or special salvage drops from the Wedding Gift mission that would be used to access the mission...Or they coulda waited til after the event was over before doing the wedding...
Didn't they learn from the Double Xp/Free weekend chaos that two events at once = bad -
[ QUOTE ]
So sorry if having a bunch of actual people put on a show just for you wasn't good enough.
[/ QUOTE ]
I appreciate their putting on a limited engagement show with limited seating that only a fraction of people who wanted to attend could attend and only after a frustrating experience
As long as it wasn't during office hours I say let them do stuff like this an have fun. If it was during office hours I say don't waste your time on RP shenanigans that only touch a small fragment of the playerbase (small fragment of both RPers an regular folk) and instead get back to work on mah shield set j00s folks! -
Wait...so is the wedding gift mission just a regular mission? No badge or special temp power or anything? That kinda sucks :/ And I thought last year we could repeat Ganmeades mission from him indefinitely...or is it under the ouroboros listing which I didn't check...?
-
What I don't understand is why wait til the middle of the day to drop the servers and add the event?
-
Unfortunately since they never have say...Double Xp Tuesday, I never get to take advantage of them. I have yet to log on for more than an hour or two total on a Double Xp weekend due to job or social life or combo of the two.
How bout a mid-week Double XP eh? Eh? -
[ QUOTE ]
This is exactly why I didn't put a badge in this pack.
[/ QUOTE ]
Does this mean you'll be removing the VIP badge from the Hero Pack and giving it to everyone? I mean...since you don't want people to have to pay for badges and all...or has this already been changed and I just didn't notice? -
[ QUOTE ]
Then why do you continue to allow people to move thier characters to freedom and virtue, when you know this is what would/will happen during any popular event.
[/ QUOTE ]
Precisely what we all knew would happen when hey announced server transfers...they should have locked those servers or put a limit to the number of toons an account could transfer to them...or something. -
*sigh* *goes back to wishing he had the money to finally get someone even half this talented to draw his since-coh-beta-main*
Looks wicked as all your stuff does. Only you could have made some of those costumes not look laughable! -
If people are worried about "an element" of gamers that is "unsavory" entering CoX as a result of PS3 access need I remind you that everyone and their granny has a computer these days. Anyone who's an MMO fan will probably already be playing it on the PC. Including the numerous unsavory folks we already tolerate daily. PS3 won't add anything to it that we aren't already putting up with. Meet a moron in game? Ignore an never team with em again.
My advice would be to consolidate some of the commonly low traffic servers (2-4 of them) and use that hardware for PS3 players if the existing fanbase is really that scared of console gamers.
Honestly, I can't see trying to get PS3 gamers into MMOs as anything but a waste of time (and Dev time and money) except for the few who don't have as much access to their family PC as they do their PS3.
In all honesty though, I've heard of people playing CoX with the xBox360 remote on their PCs and we could always plug a USB keyboard into a PS3 or use voice chat. But Tabula Rasa is probably the most likely to end up a PS3 port. Voice chat is already something that is preferable to typing in such a fast paced game and the necessary controls are minimal.

I think they would capture a pretty decent share of the Mac and Linux gaming market right up front, and the publicity generated by it would increase the subscriber base by quite a bit.
[/ QUOTE ]
Linux users are all typically knowledgeable enough that if they want to play CoH or ANY PC game they have their Linux system setup to do w/o special software adaptations from the company. Mac can do Boot Camp so people that wanna play anything other than Chess, Solitaire, or WoW would have to already have Windows on their PC. Even then, Mac would still be the most viable to make a special edition for I think. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm sorry, that's a THIRD of the powerset, 3 out of 9 that you want to "scrap".
[/ QUOTE ]
Also the absolute most talked about and probably least used/most hated in the set. Plus, I not only said that but then I offered ideas on how to change the current incarnations to make them unique, utilitarian, and otherwise handy in multiple situations/playstyles without totally ruining the way they're currently played. You noticed I shouted a few attention grabbers, apparently they were good enough to keep you from actually reading the other third of my post explaining my thoughts on each. In fact most of my ideas are darn similar to the ones YOU mentioned earlier in the thread before you started telling people to essentially "refer to my guide so you can play as awesomely with crappy powers as I do!"
[ QUOTE ]
The other powers need to have such a use that the other teammates actually see a BENEFIT from them being used.
[/ QUOTE ]
And you immediately bashed me saying I wanted City of Powerhelm after, again, suggestions not terribly far removed from your own on page 1. And you bashed almost EVERY other poster for absolutely no reason. The Devs we have here are smart guys. Castle is a great Dev! He also knows how to read an reason. If he hears an idea that's too outlandish he will say no.
BUT he might hear one of those and go "Gee that's a little far but certain aspects DO have merit" and it could lead to an amazing fix. All your berating and bashing does is deter people who might have an idea that leads to great changes from even posting.
[ QUOTE ]
And some other people like magicj are on the other side (let's call it Mt. Everest) and want to see NO change to the set whatsoever. I'm standing on the beach between the two asking for change, but controlled change over time.
[/ QUOTE ]
Um...so you teleported from the crest of Everest to the beach in less than one paragraph. Congratsmust be slotted for range.
I'm asking for mainly 3 powers to have changes...making Detention Field a toggle or an actual FIELD possibly with a shorter duration or even making it just a little less annoying with the hit to enemy ACC and ability to hit them back with it on (as a clickie) aren't unreasonable or at all drastic and are entirely in the spirit (I thought) of this thread. They're reasonable ideas that help every playstyle and give the set one more utility power.
Same with Repulsion Field...a bigger static KB instead of pulses thats more effective would be great. The one problem with FF currently is it's a literally hit or miss KB set. And it's main perk being KB shouldn't be quite as hit or miss. The KB should be more reliable. In fact the only people that should be able to KB/KD an even level Warwolf (or even a +1 or +2) should be a Defender with Force Bolt or Repulsion.
You also never addressed way back in my first post, the ineffectiveness of Force bubble as a crowd control device aside from initially pushing them into a corner before they start sliding around the bubble between it an the wall inexplicably. If it can't actually block off a small corridor in that "You shall not pass" way then it should be smaller as to be useful more often aside from massive rooms where you have the room to use it and "only" aggro half the room instead of all the room.
[ QUOTE ]
When I look at FF and Defenders' secondaries, blasting doesn't work with Knockback and herding doesn't work with Defenders' nukes.
[/ QUOTE ]
As someone mentioned earlier KB rarely if ever, stacks...I hit em and by some miracle they KB with my blast, then I Bolt 'em and try to KB them again, unless they're standing and already firing another attack KB won't work, they won't stay down longer (oddly enough Air Superiority DOES do this because it's a KD I guess) Perhaps every FF power needs to not only register as KB but KD as well...I don't know if they do at the moment...
[ QUOTE ]
Nor will Defenders be the only AT affected by whatever changes come from this, if any.
[/ QUOTE ]
THAT is where I disagree. Defenders CAN and SHOULD be the only ones affected by this change. We already know that they can change the effectiveness of powers based on the AT and they should continue to tweak ALL the powers to have unique flavor for the given AT...
FF is perfect for trollers as they are. magicj's videos show that. Same for MM's whose main powers are their minions...
But for defenders who it's either bubble or blast...there just needs to be more utility and more power therein. As primaries go ours is the least useful overall, day-to-day, in the game.
Defenders, for whom FF is the PRIMARY, would or at least SHOULD be the only ones that get any added bonuses.
EDIT: [ QUOTE ]
There may be some sort of tweak to FF that can help Defenders in some small way, but until the basic issue that the blasts don't work with Knockback and herding doesn't work with Defenders' nukes is addressed, a Force Field Defender will remain primarily best suited to being a buff-bot. Those are the only powers an FF Defender has that don't interfere with their blasts.
[/ QUOTE ]
For the record my main is an FF/Energy...so even my blasts interfere with my blasts...
And Dr. Phil...er...Professor Lockhart please google "Gilderoy Lockhart" and read up on your new namesake. -
Hey, Dr. Phil...
Your last few posts have been nothing but you "deflating" and attacking everyone who posts anything saying anything negative about FF. You accuse me for some odd reason of wanting things to only be how I want (I assume this from your City of Powerhelm comment)
Yet every time someone suggests a way to change FF to make all the pwoers more useful....you scream about how FF is already fine if you know how to use it and point people to YOUR guide...basically saying it should be City of PhiloticKnight. As for your experience...you have 200 "levels" of experience...which range from 25 minutes to 2 days to gain or less. It doesn't matter how many "levels" you have, or even hours in game. None of us care because your hours playing how you choose have no affect whatsoever on how WE wish to play. Just because you revel in occasionally being able to use your mediocre powers doesn't mean we all do.
[ QUOTE ]
Personal Force Field: 75% Defense to ALL and 40% Resistance to anything that actually gets THROUGH.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wait? Who's protecting the team while you're hiding in your bubble? None of your powers help your teammates (Leadership, Dispersion bubble, etc) when you're in the PFF.
[ QUOTE ]
Yes, I realize FF is not Sonic. But when Sonic came out everyone was saying "No one will play FF again." and they _were_ saying it was "FF done right".
[/ QUOTE ]
You know what they meant by "FF done right"? It wasn't all buff. There's debuffing in there too, some that's quite effective in fact. There's, in fact, something useful that anyone that plays that set can use in almost any play style aside the "holy trinity of bubbles"
[ QUOTE ]
Ironically, when they did bump the bubbles to four minutes, I predicted that within a year, some FF defenders would be complaining that the set was boring because once you deployed the bubbles, there was nothing to do. I was wrong: it took less than six months.
[/ QUOTE ]
Some of us were complaining about not having anything to do long before that, with 2 minute timers we did nothing but turn on Dispersion and Leadership then constantly recast bubbles. After they bumped those to 4 minutes and people bothered to try other powers they noted that the others were no where near as useful overall as the others.
Repulsion bomb doesn't always toss people, in fact the ones a Defender would need tossed for his own safety are the exact ones that almost never get tossed. They get slightly pushed back, but not before they can attack.
Also you ahve to stand still and wait for a pulse to register before they "fly back" IF the go back at all.
[ QUOTE ]
And when the teams getting swarmed, a 360 KB followed by Force Bubble can be awesome. It splits the baddies into smaller groups. You can use geometery to keep the groups seperated and the team can focus on one small group at a time.
[/ QUOTE ]
See: Tanker Aggro Control
See: Blaster AoE Setup
See: Frustration
Some people in this thread are so caught up in their defender play style with bubbles and how they use them that they aren't taking into account other players' playstyle and power sets. Almost NO player wants to be on a team where the bad guys are sporadically and randomly tossed all over the place. Especially given the level of unreliability with the KB in FF. It's not like they're all, always, on their butts.
This makes it impossible for a blaster to BOOM a large group, difficult for a tanker relying on gauntlet or aggro auras to keep aggro off the squishies not to mention scrappers cones/pbaoes and controller AoEs.
There shouldn't be only one way (The Dr. Phil way) to use my powersets. They should have atleast half the set being useful in every fight.
[ QUOTE ]
Seriously, have you ever TRIED to play like this before? It's a whole different world.
[/ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
The Force is not strong in this one, he needs more training to become a Master....
[/ QUOTE ]
The only thing that needs deflating is that ego.
You made a thread for FF suggestions, then brag about it getting stickied and a stupid title that no one would have noticed had you not mentioned it and then when people suggest changes you don't like, instead of explaining why, overall, those changes aren't good you just tell them they need to be playing how you play and to hell with their own preferences or playstyle.
[ QUOTE ]
But what I'd hate to see is FF made just like every other set. I'm very happy the game has a set that's a bit more work. Please don't take that away from me. Folks who want straight forward sets already have lots of choices. I don't.
[/ QUOTE ]
So...making Repulsion field (essentially a pulsing version of the Kinetics field with a barely larger affect area that doesn't stop melee damage a heckuva lot better) a repulsion bubble...
Making Detention Field...a FIELD or some other change to make it different from Sonics...
Wanting a dispersion/Force bubble size switch to make them more helpful to all teams and teammates...
None of these changes would really harm your playstyle...or force you to change that much. You mention not wanting FF to be like other sets, we're asking to make it more different! Basically FF is just a movement heavy controller the way you play it.
PK You never addressed my comment regarding constantly knocking enemies out of AoE and aggro radius other than to say only bad FFers do that...So do you announce everytime you're gonna repulsion bomb? Otherwise there's no way in a team with a blaster that you could not be knocking out at least a few mobs each time, adding that much more time and work to your team's mission time.
[ QUOTE ]
Now if you can look at that, and look at all of the OTHER experienced FF players that also don't want to throw out the whole set and make a new one... if you can look at all of us and tell us we're all wrong and you're right.... well then, I hope you enjoy City of Powerhelm. Because that's all that it will be.
[/ QUOTE ]
Odd thing happened, looking over my post I don't see me saying throw out the whole set. In fact I only stated a desire to see two of quite possibly the least used powers in FF (RB an RP) altered both in fairly minor and very VERY team friendly ways. Ways that also greatly differentiate them from other existing powers even more than they already are.
PFF I actually asked to get the ability to affect allies...thats it...no tossing it out, no drastic change...
HECK, I just asked that FBolt be BETTER at knocking back reliably, no change other than injecting a few roids in that sucker...
I made no suggestions that would ruin even your playstyle and would make the set not only more team friendly but would also make the powers different enough that people can actually PLAY DIFFERENT POWERS than everyone else and STILL be effective. As opposed to the cookie cutters that FF defenders et all have become. For instance name a FFer that doesn't have the holy Trinity of bubbles and still gets not only invited to teams but remains in them after telling them this fact...None.
Oops, my bad I care about the people I team with and not showing off what I can do with my bubbles. Ok, Gilderoy Lockhart. If you want to rip into me for having a freaking personal opinion. Not even a radical or drastic one, to make yourself feel better fine go for it but don't go, bragging about titles and time spent in game and how your guide is the answer to every FFer's woes then accuse ME of vying for a City of Powerhelm. -
Well, I've made about 3 dozen stabs at recommending ways to change FF in the last 4+ years (beta time included) so let me try this again since I know a red-name is at least looking at this thread...
Repulsion Field- Garbage. Needs to be totally redesigned.
Possible solution: Repulsion Field instead of "Pulsing" should be more like a dispersion bubble forcefield (50% the size) thing that just constantly knocks back anything that touches it. Essentially what Kinetic's defenders have now but not just for the user...
Make it large enough that melee attackers can't hit the person. This actually makes more sense than Force Bubble, which has the uncanny ability of aggroing things in other parts of the map if it's big enough to go through the walls on the map...
Make this Repulsion field an actual field instead of the pulsing hoola-hoop that it currently is. Perhaps just big enough that if someone hugged the defender they'd be protected from melee attackers too.
Repulsion Bomb- Garbage. Total Redesign/replacement.
There's really no way to truly fix this power aside from making it a straight up targeted AoE. At one time it was bouncing them off a target ally, another time it was bouncing them off from around a targeted foe. It needs to just be the FF equivalent of Liquefy but with more knockback than debuffing.
Force Bubble/ Dispersion Bubble- Switch the size of these two bubbles. Yay, I can add to that scrappers Def...as long as he isn't trying to attack anything while I have FB up...since he can't get that buff and attack...oh and I aggroed the entire room with my massive FB...oh wait...they're minion level warwolves that are -2 to me...so they can still walk right up to me with FB on and hit me.
FB should cost almost as much as it used to, be smaller, and be the ultimate anti-melee damage shield.
PFF- Allow us to affect allies. That's all.
Force Bolt- It's a knockback attack. The entire purpose is to knockback an enemy. This should atleast be able to reliably knockdown foes if not knockback. If 3 FF defenders fired this power slotted out in Knockbacks at the same EB at the same time it should knock him on his butt, currently he just looks like he's playing guitar hero and head banging to the song when that happens.
Dispersion Bubble is fine except the size. The defender's job is to protect the team, the ENTIRE team. Not just melee OR ranged. I shouldn't have to stand within AoE range of my melee folks in order to give them my shield buff.
Detention Field- Scrap it. Replace it with something new or atleast re-name it. First of all, you lie. This is not a "field" this is a bubble. Not even an easy to see bubble. If on a team with an FFer and they have you in dispersion and buffed, with all the shieldy goodness you have a hard time seeing the detention egg on a bad guy.
How about making it a toggle or an actual "field" and instead of isolating them it immobilizes them and drastically reduces their ACC to the absolute bottom-most level but still hittable. That way we don't have to wait for it to wear off if we finish the mob sooner/easier than expected...
We've heard the propaganda about how Knockback is what makes FF so great. In fact its one of the if not THE number 1 reason people get annoyed with FF's. It's the least liked secondary affect of all the powers in the game. Melee's hate Energy blasters and FF defenders because of KB. Blasters hate FF defenders because of KB (an powers like Repulsion Bomb) "Oh, you wanted to use that AoE? My bad...lemme not use anything in my secondary except Dispersion Shield since everything else either knocks them out of AoE or isolates them from it's effects..."
The only people that think FFs are alright are the ones that never play them. All they see are "Do I have my two bubbles? Does he have his big one on so I can run in." After that we're pretty much useless, maybe if while Dispersion bubble was active we got a buff to damage we can do...Since aside from Deflection and Insulation bubbles the only one FF's reliably CHOOSE to take is Dispersion Bubble. And unless we wanna PO at least some portion of our team we can't typically use about 80% of our secondary powers that leaves us with blasting...
Don't even get me started on the "benefits" Vigilance has for Defenders who bubble...oh...extra Endurance when my teammates run low on health...wow...that means I can cast those low cost bubbles AGAIN! And without ANY added benefit! Then I can blast as fast as my powers will recharge...I might even do 5 or 6 damage if my Nova hits!
Philotic: While I appreciate that you seem to feel the "Sinister Six" have a use I can say that having played a bubbler for 4 years...they really don't have more than at best situational uses. And the occasional situation in which those powers come in handy don't justify the power slots and enhancements they eat up...
Currently:
Detention "field"- You're looking at at least 2 ACC not counting that you need a recharge to reliably get it back at just about the time it dies if you're trying to "control" anything. And since it's got that wonderful chance of missing and shorter affect time on tougher foes, that means when you need it it's likely to miss or not last nearly long enough.
Repulsion Field/Force Bubble- The things you, as a defender, really NEED to KB or at least hold back (the hard hitting melee-centric mobs) are the ones that totally ignore both of these powers as they currently are, even well slotted.
The only power in the Sinister Six aside from PFF and Force Bolt that actually has some non-special-situation usage is Force Bubble since, provided there aren't any open doors nearby and you aren't fighting Carnies or Council (or anything with melee-oriented mobs) you can pop things into corners. Unfortunately, as it currently is FB still does a horrible job of even this. I was in the "Save the World" mission and had my FB up, totally blocking the entire corridor in the rikti tunnel. There wasn't a single corner of that space above, below or next to me that wasn't totally covered by my FB, theoretically nothing that isn't melee-centric (warwolves, strongmen, etc) should have even been able to get by me. Yet there they were just stutter-sliding along the wall right through the FB. Not only did I get every ounce of aggro despite 2 tanks with Invincibility running right under me but it was a pointless waste of end when those stupid Nemesis balls O' death and the marching band geeks with guns were sliding right past me... -
Debt wipe means a few things -
A. It probably will delay some people from getting the debt badge.
B. Kind of a hollow (but kinda welcome) gift since debt isn't hard to rid yourself of in this game.
Prestige gift -
- Another hollow (but welcome gift) most SGs will have to learn to "live within their means" anyway so this just delays the inevitable for smaller teams and larger teams already have what they need. And w/o CoP working Bases are still just storage and travel hubs and nothing more :/
On the bright side at least we know that I-11 will go live before Dec 10th!
Hopefully before Thanksgiving... -
The way I see it is this:
If they're being honest we're gonna see an increase in Customer Service (hopefully) aka shorter outstanding ticket times.
x2 or x3 the staff means more bug fixes and more issues with a lil more quality, perhaps even getting rid of some delays we normally see with issues.
More people to work on Power Customization... -
Let bubble defenders fire out of their PFF with a reduced ACC to their powers (as they were originally able to do) so we actually have something to do in PVP aside from die or hide...as it is we're targets, bait, and/or bodies typically.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Surely I'm not the only one who never bought that good-guy act? Statesman (the character) was always a jerk.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hehe, Statesman the Dev hasn't been too far from his namesake in that department most of the time. -
If the prestige thing takes affect after I-11 goes live it'd be great... 150 x 20,000 Prestige...
The SGs with multiple branches due to the small SG size limit would be much better off then.
But yeah as a previous poster said the Debt thing an CoH/CoV freebie thing are marginal at best...How about giving everyone a free month? Or at Least a free month for every 12 months they've played (rounded up)...
NCSoft has all that Lineage money from Asia they can afford to give us a lil somthing
EDIT: Gotter the person you are replying to never says anything was easy, recycled content. They said it was unoriginal and built out of older content. Inventions? Built out of the Enhancements stuff. Issue 10? Second Rikti invasion, groundwork was already there from the Beta Invasion though new tech and a new way of doing it were employed the basic idea wasn't original. Issue 11? New powersets which melee has needed for a LONG time and should have been added 5 issues ago really if they weren't gonna port some CoV melee stuff over...also Flashback something we've been asking for since Beta of CoH in 2004.
BUT, by that same token many if not all of the issues have been unoriginal.
Though personally I do agree that a huge blotch on their record will always be the CoP. A way for a big chunk of an SG to join together and complete a task? That was a huge reason why I even bought CoV to begin with. I wouldn't mind seeing someone step up and say they're fixing it as we speak or otherwise I'd like at least a portion of the 60 bucks I spent at CoV Launch back :/ I almost never utilize a base other than for teleporters so if they don't wanna give us what they promised in the ads that's quite literally false advertising especially after all this time and it's still not done. Hell, they won't even talk about it anymore it seems.
