I was under the impression that if you didn't ever pay base rent you would only loose access to things that would be useful in raids. Therefore if you never wanted to do raids you'd never need to pay rent.

Our base hasn't even been made fully functional yet but we get into it and use it for role play and to play with the editor, and we've let the rent go for a long time. Last night we couldn't get into it at all until someone finally paid.

Am I remembering wrong? Are you required to pay rent just to use the base even if you aren't using it for raids?

    Thanks!

I'm afraid you're remembering somewhat wrong. There is a grace period after your first missed payment during which you base is powered down. But if you continue to ignore rent, eventually all access to your base is lost. Once you pay your rent, access is restored.

I posted this in tech but apparently nobody reads there much.
Not everything works right when architecting a base.
Items that you would think can stack on desks, tables, or cabinets don't.
Pictures are not scalably proportionate but gigantic. This includes all artwork not just the modern art.
If one is not careful, you can get trapped in the base portal and only escape by re-entering your base then logging out and back in.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Stackable surfaces and getting trapped by the base portal are known issues.

Pictures were never meant to be scalable. This is not a bug.
  3. I generally play a En/Rad Corruptor.

CoH characters include an AR/Fire Blaster and a Claws/Invul Scrapper.
  4. Good suggestions all around.

Now, we just have to find time...
  5. Working on it.

Both Cryptic and NCSoft check the forums for issues (as in this case), so your postings are helpful.
  6. A clarification, since my PM was not written with a general post in mind:

The fixed note for the laster, widow, wailer, and wolf spider means the bug has been found and fixed at our end. This means you'll have to wait until they are patched on the live server. Check the patch notes.

This seemed to be the easiest badge to get. Just a team of 8.. 4 bosses, 4 lackeys doing a few missions seemed to unlock it

    [/ QUOTE ]

Good. That was the intention. We want players to feel like they earned their mission computer, but at the same time we want to make sure that groups can get it and use it.
  8. Bug reports capture a certain amount of information -- map, location, etc. It never hurts, however, to say "I was on X, doing such and such when this happened."
  9. Please make sure to report these as bugs in the game. That way the info will get into our bug tracking system.
  10. Just wanted everyone to know that we are planning changes to reduce hospital camping. I'm not going to say it will never happen, but we should be able to cut it way down.

I don't have an ETA at this point (holiday season and all).

Well....some of the badges are now fixed and others are bugged.

I just bagged over 100 Fortunata's through missions in BB. No Gladiator

friend didn't have spider smasher, no badge after 20 missions

    [/ QUOTE ]

Was this for a villain or hero?
  12. I just got to say you people are doing impressive work! I mean all of you.
  13. The badge counts the number of Thorn specific missions completed not the number of CoT in general defeated. So, street hunting for Thorns won't help.
  14. Heroes getting offered the Silver Mantis TF is a known bug and will be fixed.

The Cathedral of Pain is a special mission that is only available at certain times. The first of those times has not yet occured live.
  15. Research Assistant and Warcry are currently bugged. They will be fixed in a future patch.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
From what I heard, the Herc is unlocked based on gladiator wins.

The Research Assistant is most likely bugged. We are waiting to hear back from Posi about it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The Research Assistant is not a kill total.
  17. The zoning out part is by design for the various PvP games.

Reputation resetting is a bug (although it does drop a little every day). Look for Weirdbeard's post on this. He's trying to gather information to track it down.
  18. I'll be looking at the point costs.

(It's just like wargames -- constantly twiddling with Army Point values!)

A Supercomputer costs 1.5 mil to place... loose that in a base raid as well and you just got a huge chunk of hurt put on ya.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Taking down an item in a raid does not automatically mean it is permanently destroyed. There is a base chance that any destroyed item is fully restored at the end of the raid (I don't have the stats in front of me so I can't quote the number). This chance is increased by building Robotic Fabricators and the Flames of Hephaestus. Each adds a percentage to the recovery chance.

And, of course, for in instant raids everything is restored to full at the end of the raid.
  20. Who says some of these guys aren't in there already?

I've seen level 41 Titan lt's running around Warburg (probably a bug).

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Nope. Tread softly in Warburg.

  23. Just because you're in SG mode doesn't mean you automatically get Prestige. You still have to do things.
