My Nuke code was erased, and so has my PvP Rep?
More than likely this is by design. The same is true in Bloody Bay. if you start the Meteor mission and zone, you lose any progress you have made on it.
As for the reputation, that does seem bugged as I can never seem to move far off of 1.0 before it resets.
The zoning out part is by design for the various PvP games.
Reputation resetting is a bug (although it does drop a little every day). Look for Weirdbeard's post on this. He's trying to gather information to track it down.
Personally not a fan of this. This just makes it annoying and un-fun to do these two missions. I coul see if say you logged that character out for 3 or 4 hours or weren't in the PvP zone for that amount of time.
But its just lame to get 5 out of 6 meteorites then hit a lag D/C or mapserver and come back just to have to do it all over again. Same with Warburg.
This is just another horribly planned thing involving the PvP zones. But since it's working "as intended" theres a good chance they'll never change it because for the most part we go on yelling while they ignore us
Same thing happens for missions if you are solo. Most people won't lag or disconnect in the hour it takes to get the meteors or launch code. If you honestly have that much of a problem look into what is making you disconnect. Odds are it is on your end.

Thanks for replying...
It'ss just not fun spending 30 minutes, then when I go to get more inspirations at my contact my progress is erased. I understand you want to make Nukes more rare, but this just wasn't fun for me.

You know, I'm tired of the whole gaming trend of losing progression. A player should never have to do something over that they have accomplished. The challenge should be getting the metorites not getting them before you DC or before the server resets. I don't have a whole lot of experience with Bloody Bay, but what you guys describe doesn't sound fun just frustrating.
Doesn't the pve mission guy sell insps?
I though there was an inspiration seller at the bases.

Heh, now I know THAT'S not true. Lately CoV has been buggy and laggy as all get out. With nonstop mapserver disconnects at certin times of the night. And it's not my system, and not my video drivers, and not my internet connection because when I ask about it in arena chat I get dozens of responses that they're getting the same problem.

Just as an FYI: Seems there is a common misconception about the "Nuke".
Read the descriptions carefully.
There are 3 types. None of them are damage dealers, they are buffs/de-buffs.
Ive gotten them all personally. Ive talked with many players that expected the nuclear payload to be high damage. It is EMP, not TNT. Drains endurance, not health.
Im not knocking the rewards. They are a lot of fun to get. I only want to set peoples expectations.

These missions work alomst the same as every mission, if you leave the game for any reason, the mission needs to be redone, from the start. This should not be a suprise, since all the CoH missions have worked this way from day One.
The only thing that is new is that if you zone out of the PvP area, the mission also restarts. Its not a big problem, just know that you need to have enough time to do the mission or you will have to start over. Heck the missions are repeatable and the rewards are pretty cool so there shouldn't be a problem.

Well I tried the meteor mission, and I have to say that it was very do-able in one sitting. I was thinking that maybe a good solution would be to have a warning window come up when you choose to zone and have accepted that zone's mission.

Yeah and all the CoH missions are instanced so you don't have to worry about being delayed by PvPers. Also in instanced missions your teammates remain in their and the mission progress is saved as long as the mission isn't reset. The Shivan power isn't really that good anyway so on top of everything else after actually getting the power I found that it almost wasn't worth the trouble.
Honestly you're better off doin the Croatoa TF and getting Amy's Ward, She's badass by herself let alone in comparison to the Shivan temp pet.

Are you serious? I mean, I figured that BIO and Chem are buff/debuff, but nuke says that it is extreme energy dot. Its just a debuff? must be a bug or some such.
Dont see why you have a nuke if you cant kill stuff with it.
why did you necro-raise this? and more importantly how did it survive the forum purging!
Clearly this thread was kept alive by consuming the essence of the OP's nuke codes and rep!

I don't know if he's serious, but he's not correct. The nuke *IS* damage, and lots of it.

You must be purged.
I started PvPing a week ago off and on around level 20 (I am now level 33) and it seems every time I get a repuation it gets erased in less then an hour. I read that it is supposed to be only 2 points every day, which is only 2 kills a day. The other day I was at Bloody bay and gained a little over 25 points after about 20 minutes of testing the waters. In two hours the entire score was wiped.
About 10 minutes ago, I went to Warburg to try and get a Nuke. After spending 15 minutes looking around I found a lab worker I had to rescue, after spending another 15 minutes to destroy the NPCs around him I finally was able to rescue him and walked him 500 meters to safety. He gave me my first code, I was excited that I was 1/3rd the way to getting a Nuke... Well I left Warburg and went to St Martials to get some more Inspirations so I could start working on my second code, I got them and when I went back to Warburg guess what I found? My code was erased, just like my PvP reputation is every time I PvP.
Is this normal? This doesn't seem right as I earned my Nuclear and I had it taken away from me... I didn't die in PvP because I believe that would give my attacker any codes I have earned.
I understand if this is a bug, since this game has only been officially out only a week and a half, but I am sure people had to have tested this in beta. I don't enjoy having hours of work stolen from me with no help in sight. I am a major PvPer in other MMO's and plan to do a lot of PvP'ing here, but these bugs are ust game breaking for me.
