Well, if you don't mind some traveling you can convert your A-Merits into Reward Merits, and then use those to buy Doctored Wounds at a Reward Merit Vendor. That would be absurdly expensive, though.

Funny, I actually did this over the weekend, but I think the main difference is that I re-entered the mission before the cutscene finished, so it completed without a problem.

Protector Lunch Special
(Which is to say, what I just made for my wife and I for a late lunch. It worked for me, her comments are still pending as it's sitting in front of her whilst she is on a long distance call...)
Ingredients:
4 Slices of Whole Wheat Bread
2 slices bologna
1 tbsp margarine
2 Eggs
6 leaves of Baby Spinach
2 Tsp roasted almond slices
1 tbsp milk
Mayonnaise
2 tsp Feta Cheese
Please note that measurements are approximate, as for this meal no measuring devices were actually used.
Turn stove to medium
Place a medium frying pan (about 10" or so) on heated element with margarine in center
When margarine begins to melt spread over pan (I simply swished it around by moving the pan itself, though a spatula will do a reasonable job as well)
When margarine is spread over pan, place bologna slices in pan. Allow slices to fry. Flip when the middle begins to rise. Remove when nicely browned around the edges. Do not drain the frying pan.
Place bread slices in toaster, toast to taste
Break eggs in a small mixing bowl. Shred and mix in baby spinach leaves, followed by almond slices and milk. Beat with a fork and then add to frying pan on top of grease from margarine and bologna.
Fry eggs until nicely browned, flipping as required
Assemble 2 sandwiches in following sequence:
Side 1:
Toast slice
Egg mixture
Fried Bologna
Side 2:
Toast slice
Mayonnaise
Crumbled Feta cheese
Combine each side 1 with side 2, slice sandwiches diagonally and serve while still hot.
EDIT: My wife's comments are in. "Five stars". -

Ditto for Diamagnetic Core Flawless Interface.

Congrats!

Quote:And it's not the -Immobs that are keeping them from launching - it's the -kb from Gravity's holds.Dude lift still does its damage regardless of whether the mob moves or not.
Try this: Find something low-level, hit it with Crushing field, then lift. It should launch right into the sky without trouble. Then try using your Hold, followed by Lift. They shouldn't move at all. -
Hero: Evacuates the hospital and bravely attempts to disarm the bombs
Vigilante: Teleports the (armed) bombs into the back of the Terrorist's truck
Rogue: Captures the terrorist and attempts to negotiate a $10M bounty for the terrorist and the arming codes
Villain: Poses as a panicking resident to delay the hero long enough to ensure his failure, teleporting out at the last second as the hospital explodes.
New Scenario: The photocopier at your day-job is broken -
Quote:This has me curious...if the KB magnitude on Jolting Chain is increased, will that have an "explosive scattering" effect, basing the KB direction from the previous baddy in the chain rather than the caster?I think they could leave the set as it is, except replace Dimension Shift with a copy of Jolting Chain (the chain knockdown power from Electric Control). Changing it to chain-knockup would be nice but not required. They could even keep the electric animation as far as I care though.

Cause that would be fun -

Quote:Wormhole's magnitude is sufficient to affect up to a +2 boss, provided said boss doesn't have their own form of teleport protection or resistance.^^^^
But id make a few more changes to wormhole;
Increase the Teleport magnitude on Wormhole to affect bosses
Change the KB magnitude to be KD
That's enough to throw around a boss on an Incarnate Trial, if you've managed to get up to a +2 level shift.
Quote:The problem with Propel is a bit harder to fix. IMO for the current animation time investment, Propel should apply a 6 second Mag 3 hold in a 8ft radius around the target. If something like Seismic Smash can apply holds under the logic that it hit the target really hard, throwing a Refrigerator ought to do the same thing. Short of outright changing the animation (which they have talked about but not acted on yet) the amount of sheer damage this power would need to do to justify its current animation time is unlikely to be acceptable, so its probably better to add a control element. Even if they drop the animation time by a second and a half it would still be a long animation time by single target standards. -

██████████████████████████Well, you can "kind of" bind to one keypress.
/bind shift+g "+down$$powexectoggleon super jump$$powexectoggleon super speed"
Assuming neither toggle is active, pressing shift+g will activate super speed. Releasing shift+g will then toggle on super jump.
Just don't press/release TOO fast, or only super speed will activate.
Also, if you're flying for some reason, you'll descend while using this bind. What do your combat attributes say under Status Protection?Yep, I'm a VIP everywhere but Protector.Similar case here - I beat up Trapdoor with my Claws/Dark stalker, and now he just wants to tell her about incarnate stuff, rather than actually give out the next mission. (No, the alpha slot was not unlocked by other means). The robot was asking for Statesman's blessing to marry Ms Liberty. This is the way Statesman says "no".
The awkward positioning is because the robot is miming the posture for proposal, and was just about to present the ring. One of my favorite teleport binds:
/bind mousechord "powexecname teleport$$powexectoggleon hover$$powexectoggle off super speed$$powexectoggleoff sprint$$powexectoggleoff super jump$$powexectoggleoff prestige power slide"
This gives me one-handed teleport control - just hit the left and right mouse buttons at the same time (I usually push the right just a tiny bit before the left and hold it down, quite on purpose), then left click again where you want to go. This will also turn on Hover and switch off my ground-movement toggles (you can add more if you have them) so I'm not wasting end on them. Hover activates without fail on the mousechord, and teleport as soon as I left-click.You could try something fancier with bindloads, assuming you always want the same file on auto.
Code:File: startmoving.txt w "+forward$$powexecabort$$bindloadfilesilent stopmoving.txt"
Code:File: stopmoving.txt w "+forward$$powexecauto [YOUR POWER NAME HERE]$$bindloadfilesilent startmoving.txt
With these set up, when you press w to start moving, your auto power will be turned off. When you release w, the power will be set to auto again. Just a cautionary note: Sometimes the files won't stay synchronized (eg, if you click on a door while still holding down w). If starting to move begins turning on your auto power, just type "/bindloadfile startmoving.txt" again, and that will fix the issue.
EDIT: In answer to your other question, replace /powexecabort in the first file with /powexecauto [Name of the power you want to use when you're moving] in startmoving.txtMy understanding is that you must fill in one tier before you advance to the next - so when you fill in Tier 8, you'll be able to select tier 9.
The tier 9 spinny-disk things are rewards that can be claimed multiple times (eg, temporary power charges, enhancement boosters, etc).
The very top is also Tier 9, but is for VIPs only, and allows you to unlock the Celestial costume pieces.
"Character items" apply to one character - however, not all of the items have to go to one character, so if you choose to claim "Enhancement boosters", you get 25 certificates, each of which confers a single enhancement booster - you can take all 25 on one character, or give one each to 25 characters, save them for later, or some combination of the above.
Just note that the "Signature Summon" only grants a single certificate, but that certificate grants 5 charges of the power.
