There are also two locations up on the ridge at the north end of the city (above the candy factory). I basically just did a round through all 5 while I was passing through CaD, got it eventually (not really anything to worry about, no lvl-specific content depends on it that I'm aware of).
I'm a little confused about the Weed Whaker badge. It says CoT bosses, but only lists Hellfrosts and Succubus. There are Death Mages that are CoT bosses too though. So is it all CoT bosses or JUST Hellfrost and Succubus? Also, where can I find Hellfrosts? I'm sick of battling Succubus that constantly use that "Come Hither" garbage on me.

There is actually a sign that you have captured a ghost successfully. Normally when the ghosts die, they kind of hang there in mid-air and disappear.
[/ QUOTE ]
You misunderstand. I don't want to know when a ghost counted, I am well aware of what happens after a successful capture already. I want to know when a ghost will count, so I know when to open fire without having to guess.
It's often tricky enough to lead a ghost to a trap, and the height of frustration when you hit him and he's only a couple of feet farther from trap radius than you need.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oops...sorry about that. This would be nice, some form of marking or something to denote when they are close enough to be captured. By my guess, it's probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 15-30 ft. from the trap.
The big pain is the ghosts running away and then having to wait for them to come back, if they ever come back.
[/ QUOTE ]
I went back and did that with my lvl 20 MM as well. What made it easier for me to tell that all the ghosts I killed cound was that I used the ghost trap that was surrounded by 3 wall on the ground level. There was a ghost mob that would constantly fly by. I camped that little spot with my bots. Got the badges under 2hrs.

Unfortunately the Weed Whacker badge is for CoV-unique CoT bosses, which are Hellfrosts and Succubii. Theyre pretty abundant around Primeva at around lvl35+ afaik. Succubii are annoying and i refuse to fight them unless i have to... theres nothing worse than dropping a tar patch the split second after being confused.
There are 6 locations for Gremlins, 3 in the north, 3 in the south. Follow the PTS pipes. In the north, continue following the line of the PTS pipe westerly, and hop over the forest. The pipe comes out again at a Luddite Farm, and there is the 6th gremlin spot (which I have found to be the most plentiful one for me)

Yes, well my point AGAIN was that a visible indicator would be nice, so that we wouldn't have to go through the frustration of "practice" It's just a quality of life thing. It's not even farfetched to say that the field of the trap would interact with the ectoplasm and make the ghost glow.

That would be nice. I don't think it will happen, but it would be nice. My problem is that they keep running off on me, and they don't come back that often. I keep using taunt, but they just wander off and disappear.

In one of Velata Lunata's arcs (Before the mission "Defeat Rauscher and his men") you are given 2 Temp powers. 50 Shots from a Shotgun, and 6 Spirit Grenade things. Can anyone tell me if they autom atically go away upon mission completion/talking to the contact, or if I can keep them indefinitley?
I'd like to keep them, but if I can not, I'd like to use them all up before they're taken away.
Thanks.
Thanks for eight fun years, Paragon.

Luddites--dont' know
I think the rest of these are the same as their counterparts in CoH:
Clockwork: It counts the gears that spawn after you defeat a boss.
Freakshow: Tank Bosses
Sky Raiders: Only the Sky Skiff Bosses (not Assault Bots)
Council: Two badges, one for vampires, the other for werewolves. Any vampire or werewolf counts.
Note: I haven't tested any of these in CoV yet.
sweet guide!
also, heard there's a gladiator badge (and gladiator) for sky raiders if you kill 100 generators

They are confirmed in COV as well. as posted above, you missed the gladiator badge for the Engineers Field generators. 100.
As for ludites, I have killed each rank and I never saw a progress bar start, but then realized that none of the COV only badges have progress bars, so there may be an unkown one, but from all the badges I have seen I don't recall seeing one for them.
Now just a guess as a possible bug with them. For scrapyarders there are 3 badges. 1 for the ghost, 1 for his minions, and 1 for just random scrapyarders. now the one for the random scrapyarders is called strike buster. Have you ever seen a Scrapyarder on strike? no neither have I. But I have seen MANY luddites on strike with the petitions. I am guessing that is what was suppose to be the badge.

There are a few places that you will see in Sharkhead scrapyarders holding signs.

For Silver Bullet, only Lt. and Boss wolves count (The Pit is a good place for them). Slayer counts any Vampire (Best way to get this is to run the 20-25 SF in a large group, but they occasionally spawn in Crimson Cove in Nerva as well in smallish groups.)
For Strike Buster, it's 100 Scrapyarders of any type. Hammerhead is 100 of the Ghost's linked Scrapyarders.
Got the Coldhearted badge, and the Hellfrost gladiator last night. Kill 250 Frost Demons (Hordeling Lasher, Hordeling Hurler, Hordeling Berserker, Hellfrost, and Blade Prince, according to the patch notes). I did this along the northern shore of Cap au Diable. If you're working on Electrician too, you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

If you go to Villa Requin in Sharks, the coast of the island is swimming in Hellfrosts
Most I've seen there are 2-3 at a time.
Ask myself... do I want to rip through 5-10 L15 minions and LTs that I can 1 shot per trip up and down the coast, or do I want to 3-4shot a few L20+ bosses at a time?
Not saying it to be snarky, I just know most people want the fastest route when it comes to these large count kill badges.

If this is true it is new, as minions worked just fine for Silver Bullet in CoH. Your bar won't move with every kill, but that's irrelevant.
Question.
The story arcs that give you a badge. In order to get the badge does the entire team have to be there for every mission in the story arc or just the one that the get the badge at the end of?

I'm asuming it's the same as it is in CoH, and you (or the rest of the team) only need to be present for the mission that actually gives the badge to receive it.

The team only needs to be present for the badge mission itself.
On CoH I was able to get Negotiator on two fo my toons at once, I'm not sure if it was a bug that has been fixed, or not, but it was possible. Gather a team, enter the mission, log out without quiting the team with the mission holder ( important : you MUST enter the mission with the mission holder and have the team inside before logging out). Log back in with an alternate toon that you want the badge on, and get re-invited to the team. Complete the mission, and both the toon who completed the mission and the original mission holder should be awarded the badge.
This worked about 3 months ago on CoH, I haven't tried it since then, but I'm betting that it will still work for the moment. Its a good way to get badges that you missed with one character, and want on multiples.

I'm now up to 153, +/- 5, and still no badge.
Does SG mode effect it? I've been in and out of SG mode while killing them. Wonder if I need to get all in one mode or the other.
I know of three locations in CaD that spawn the gremlins. Near the Hospital, the tailor and the base portal. Are there any others?
Thanks, er Curses!
Edit: Well it just goes to show that whining does get you everything. I killed 3 more gremlins and got the 2 badges. Mwhahahaha
